Nevada Zinc identifiziert ein offenes Goldziel westlich von Goldcorps Projekt Coffee und setzt Bohrungen auf Lone Mountain fort
Toronto, Ontario, Kanada. 30. November 2016. Nevada Zinc Corporation ("Nevada Zinc" oder das "Unternehmen") (TSX-V: NZN) gibt bekannt, dass das Unternehmen ein signifikantes Goldexplorationsziel auf seinem Projekt VIP im Yukon westlich von Goldcorps Goldprojekt Coffee abgegrenzt hat. Goldcorp hat das Goldprojekt Coffee am 19. Juli 2016 für ungefähr 521 Mio. Dollar durch den Kauf der Kaminak Gold Corporation erworben. Seit der Kaminak-Transaktion hat Goldcorp Beteiligungen an zwei weiteren angrenzenden börsennotierten Grundbesitzern erworben.
Das 700 m lange Goldziel East Big Creek auf dem Projekt VIP des Unternehmens bleibt in Streichrichtung offen und ist über mehrere Kilometer im Streichen der bestehenden anomalen Datenpunkte unerkundet.
Das Unternehmen setzt die Bohrungen auf seinem Zinkprojekt Lone Mountain in Nevada fort. Dort lieferten die jüngsten Bohrungen des Unternehmens signifikante Abschnitte mit hochgradiger Zinkvererzung aus sehr geringer Tiefe einschließlich Bohrungen, die über einem verdeckten Ausstrich angesetzt wurden und bis zu 5,76 % Zn über 41,15 m lieferten (Pressemitteilung 11. August 2016).
President und CEO Bruce Durham äußerte sich dazu: "Wir setzen die Bohrarbeiten auf unserem sehr aussichtsreichen Zinkprojekt Lone Mountain in Nevada fort und berichten mit Freude den weiteren positiven Explorationsfortschritt auf unseren großen Landpaketen im Yukon. Die wichtigsten Punkte - Projekt VIP - Ziel East Big Creek
Das Ziel East Big Creek umfasst eine 700 m lange geochemische Anomalie von Gold- und Indikatorelementen im Boden, die nach Nordwesten streicht. Diese Anomalie wurde noch nicht getestet und ist im Streichen in beide Richtungen offen. Die Anomalie ist bis zu 250 m breit und wird nur nach Süden hin (bergauf) durch Permafrost eingegrenzt, was dazu führte, dass dort kein geeignetes Probenmaterial für die Analyse gesammelt werden konnte.
Höhere Goldgehalte in Bodenproben aus der Anomalie lagen bis zu über dem Zehnfachen des Hintergrunds, was sehr anomal für ein Gebiet mit flächendeckendem Deckschutt ist. Die anomalen Goldgehalte in den Böden korrelieren gut mit anomalen Tellur-, Wismut-, Schwefel-, Selen-, Kupfer-, Silber-, Molybdän-, Quecksilber-, Blei-, Antimon und Zinkgehalten. Diese Abfolge anomaler Elementgehalte ist ein sehr guter Indikator für das Vorkommen einer signifikanten Goldvererzung in dem Gebiet.
Das Ziel East Big Creek befindet sich innerhalb des paläozoischen Klondike Schist (kristalliner Schiefer). Es liegt 2,4 km in westnordwestlicher Streichrichtung vom kretazischen Monzogranit-Körper Coffee Creek-Phase und 1,4 km nördlich eines kretazischen Gabbrokörpers der Whitehorse Suite (Abfolge). Der Monzogranit-Körper Coffee Creek-Phase ist einer in einer Reihe, die sich nach Ostsüdosten bis zum Batholith Coffee Creek fortsetzt, der einen beachtlichen Teil von Goldcorps Goldlagerstätte Coffee Creek beherbergt.
Eine luftgestützte magnetische Untersuchung, die von Nevada Zinc im Jahre 2010 durchgeführt und vor Kurzem neu bearbeitet wurde, deutet weitere verborgene Intrusionen an, die einen Kilometer südlich der Anomalie East Big Creek und ebenfalls im Nordwesten im Streichen der Anomalie East Big Creek liegen. Diese interpretierten Intrusionen liegen im Streichen der Coffee-Creek-Intrusionen.
Ein großflächiges markantes magnetisches Tief in den neu bearbeiteten luftgestützten magnetischen Daten definiert eine nach Nordwesten streichende Struktur, die direkt mit der Lage des Ziels East Big Creek verbunden ist.
Das Sammeln von Gesteinsproben in dem Gebiet erwies sich als problematisch aufgrund des Mangels an Aufschlüssen in dem Bereich des abgegrenzten Ziels. Von Hand ausgehobene Gruben lieferten Stichproben mit anomalen geochemischen Ergebnissen ähnlich der Abfolge anomaler Elementgehalte in den Bodenprobendaten. Dies deutet die Nähe der Quelle zum Ziel an.
Das Unternehmen plant im Jahr 2017 eine weitere Bewertung des Bereichs des Ziels East Big Creek und ebenfalls die Erweiterung des Ziels sowohl nach Nordwesten als auch Südosten.
Projekt VIP
Das Projekt VIP wurde vom Unternehmen noch vor der ersten Veröffentlichung der Bohrergebnisse auf Coffee Creek im Jahre 2010 durch Kaminak erworben. Das Projekt VIP wurde als ein sehr großes vollkommen nicht überprüftes Goldexplorationsziel erworben, das eine Anzahl flussaufwärts gelegener signifikanter Gold- und Pfadfinderelementenanomalien entlang des großen regionalen Trends unmittelbar westlich von Goldcorps Projekt Coffee abdeckt. Eine Transaktion zwischen Goldspike Exploration Inc. (jetzt Nevada Zinc) und Silverquest (jetzt Independence Gold Corp.) für einige der Claims nahe der Westgrenze des Projekts Coffee führte dazu, dass das Unternehmen jetzt eine 1prozentige NSR (Net Smelter Return, Gewinnbeteiligung an künftigen Erträgen) an der Liegenschaft YCS von Independence Gold Corp. besitzt.
Ein Punkt von besonderem Interesse knapp außerhalb der Wolf-Claims auf den VIP-Claims ist die Entdeckung von Resten historischer, nie aufgezeichneter Seifengoldwaschanlagen nahe der Ostgrenze der Wolf-Claims auf dem VIP-Block.
Vor Kurzem vergrößerte Nevada Zinc signifikant ihr VIP-Landpaket durch die Akquisition der 16 km2 umfassenden Wolf-Claims (64 Claim-Einheiten), die innerhalb der Grenzen des Projekts VIP liegen.
Die vor Kurzem erworbenen Wolf-Claims und das ursprüngliche Projekt VIP bedecken die interpretierten Quellen einer Anzahl von Zielen mit hohen geochemischen Gold- und Multielementanomalien, die den auf dem Goldprojekt Coffee gefundenen Anomalien ähnlich sind.
Nevada Zinc hat eine Anzahl geochemischer und struktureller Ziele abgegrenzt, die Nachfolgearbeiten rechtfertigen. Das Projekt VIP setzt sich zusammen aus 837 Mineral-Claims mit einer Fläche von ungefähr 16.000 Hektar, die 17 Kilometer der günstigen Stratigrafie westlich des Goldprojekts der Goldcorp abdecken.
Auf dem ausgedehnten Landpaket VIP des Unternehmens wurde noch nie gebohrt und es wurden auch keine Schurfgräben ausgehoben.
Unternehmen
Das Unternehmen konzentriert sich weiterhin auf seine sehr aussichtsreichen Zinkexplorationsprojekte Lone Mountain in Nevada, während es gleichzeitig Ressourcen für seine Goldexplorationsziele im Yukon zur Verfügung stellt. Das Unternehmen hat in der Tat im Rahmen seiner jüngsten Arbeiten auf der Liegenschaft Livingstone signifikante Goldvorkommen im Festgestein entdeckt. Die Geochemie der Nuggets deutet an, dass diese neue Entdeckung von Gold im Festgestein durch das Unternehmen Teil der Quelle der extrem großen Nuggets zu sein scheint, die mitunter noch von den Goldwäschern gefunden werden.

Nevada Zinc Identifies Open Ended Gold Target West of Goldcorp's Coffee Project and Continues Drilling at Lone Mountain
Toronto, Ontario--(Newsfile Corp. - November 30, 2016) - Nevada Zinc Corporation (TSXV: NZN) ("Nevada Zinc" or the "Company") is pleased to report it has outlined a significant gold exploration target on its VIP Project located in Yukon, west of Goldcorp's Coffee Gold Project. Goldcorp acquired ownership of the Coffee Gold Project on July 19, 2016 for approximately $521 million by purchasing Kaminak Gold Corporation. Since the Kaminak transaction Goldcorp has acquired equity interests in two additional adjacent publicly traded property holders.
The 700 metre long East Big Creek gold target on the Company's VIP Project remains open along strike and is unexplored for several kilometres along the trend of the existing anomalous data points.
The Company is continuing to drill on its Lone Mountain zinc project in Nevada where the Company's most recent drilling intersected significant intervals of very near surface high grade zinc mineralization including holes that collared in subcropping mineralization assaying up to 5.76% zinc over 41.15 metres (press release August 11, 2016).

Highlights - VIP Project - East Big Creek Target
The East Big Creek target is comprised of a 700 metre long northwest trending gold-in-soil and pathfinder element geochemical anomaly that remains untested and open in both directions along strike. The anomaly is up to 250 metres wide, and is only constrained to the south (uphill) by permafrost which resulted in an inability to obtain proper sample material for analysis.
Higher gold values in soil samples in the anomalous area range up to more than 10 times background which is highly anomalous for the area given the rather ubiquitous overburden cover. Anomalous gold values in soils correlates well with anomalous levels of tellurium, bismuth, sulphur, selenium, copper, silver, molybdenum, mercury, lead, antimony, and zinc. This suite of anomalous elements is a very good indicator for the presence of significant gold mineralization in the area.
The East Big Creek target occurs within Klondike Schist of Paleozoic Age. It occurs 2.4 kilometres west-northwest on strike from a Cretaceous-age, Coffee Creek-phase monzogranite body, and 1.4 kilometres north of a Cretaceous, Whitehorse Suite gabbro body. The Coffee Creek-phase monzogranite body is one of a series continuing to the east-southeast and extending to the Coffee Creek Batholith which hosts a significant portion of Goldcorp's Coffee Creek gold deposit.
An airborne magnetic survey completed by Nevada Zinc in 2010 and recently reprocessed, indicates additional buried intrusions within 1 kilometre to the south of the East Big Creek anomaly and also to the northwest along trend of the East Big Creek anomaly. The location of these interpreted intrusions is on trend with the Coffee Creek intrusions.
An extensive, prominent magnetic low in the reprocessed airborne magnetic data defines a northwest trending structure directly associated with the location of the East Big Creek target.
Rock sampling in the area proved somewhat problematic due to lack of outcrop in the area of the defined target. Hand dug pits yielded grab samples with anomalous geochem results similar to the suite of anomalous elements found in the soil sampling data, indicating proximity to the source of the target.
The Company plans to further evaluate the area of the East Big Creek target and also the extensions of the target both northwesterly and southeasterly in 2017.
VIP Project
The VIP Project was acquired by the Company before the first announcement of the Coffee Creek drill results by Kaminak in 2010. The VIP Project was acquired as a very large, completely untested gold exploration target covering the upstream location of a number of significant gold and pathfinder element anomalies located along the major regional trend located immediately west of Goldcorp's Coffee Gold Project. A transaction between Goldspike Exploration Inc. (now Nevada Zinc) and Silverquest (now Independence Gold Corp.) on some of the claims near the west boundary of the Coffee Gold Project resulted in the Company retaining a 1% net smelter returns ("NSR") royalty on the YCS Property of Independence Gold Corp.
One item of particular interest just outside the Wolf claims on the VIP claims is the discovery of remnants of historic, never recorded, placer gold operations near the eastern boundary of the Wolf claims on the VIP block.
The Company recently added significantly to its VIP land package by acquiring the 16 square kilometre Wolf claim group (64 claim units) located within the boundaries of the VIP Project.
The recently acquired Wolf claims and the original VIP Project cover the interpreted sources of a number of high gold and multi-element geochemical targets similar to those found at the the Coffee Gold Project.
Nevada Zinc has outlined a number of geochemical and structural targets that warrant further follow-up. The VIP Project is comprised of 837 mineral claims covering some 16,000 hectares covering 17 kilometres of favourable stratigraphy west of Goldcorp Coffee Gold Project.
No drilling or trenching has ever been undertaken on the Company's extensive VIP land holdings.
