US to increase gas deliveries to Europe as part of rush for new supplies
... “We currently export every molecule that has a terminal to liquefy it,” said US Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm. “Because of the price, there is a desire to liquefy it and send it.”
Anatol Feygin, Commercial Director at Cheniere Energy Inc., the largest US LNG exporter, said about 70% of the LNG produced at the company’s facilities is shipped to Europe by its customers. Although Europe has attracted more US LNG volumes than Asia this year, there is little market players can do to send more of it to Europe, he said.
“Everyone is asking what you can do in the short term to get more volume into Europe, and the only answer is to run our facilities as well and as reliably as possible,” Feygin said. “There is no miracle solution that does more [LNG] train appear,” he added, referring to key facilities that cool natural gas in liquid form. ...

Gas als kurzfristiger Hedge, Cheniere kann man wohl jetzt länger im Depot lassen.

Der Ausschluss aus dem internationalen Zahlungssystem Swift gilt als eine der schärfsten Sanktionen. Die westlichen Verbündeten haben sich nun darauf verständigt, diesen Weg zu gehen.

Die Aktie des Flüssiggas Anbieters Cheniere ist bereits im Vorfeld stark gestiegen. Cheniere Energy könnte Europa von den USA aus mit Flüssiggas versorgen, wenn Russland West-Europa den Gashahn als Reaktion darauf zudreht und versucht, Europa zu erpressen.
Gibt es eine Tradingchance auf die Cheniere-Aktie oder hat das Papier sogar noch weiteres Wachstumspotential ?
