Mich hat die gestrige Meldung von PFN schon vom Hocker gehauen.
Nachbörslich hat man eine neue Resourcen Schätzung veröffentlicht für das JV mit dem Weltgrößten Platin Produzenten Anglo American ( Platinum ). Im letzten Jahr hat man Phase 8 der Drillings abgeschlossen und konnte sensationelle Ergebnisse erzielen:

Measured and indicated resources of 30.5 million tonnes containing 953,900 ounces of palladium (0.97 gram per tonne), 329,500 ounces of platinum (0.34 g/t) and 59,500 ounces of gold (0.061 g/t) with an additional 2.3 million tonnes containing 67,000 ounces of palladium (0.87 g/t), 23,800 ounces of platinum (0.31 g/t) and 4,000 ounces of gold (0.05 g/t) of inferred resources using a 0.7 g/t cut-off (pt/pd).

Das JV sieht eine 50 % / 50 Regelung vor, wobei Anglo die Exploration bezahlen muss.
Anglo hat bis heute CAD 18 Mio ist das Project reingeblasen und kann bis zur Production financing den Anteil auf max. 65 % hochschrauben.

Für PFN bleibt dann ein Anteil von 35 %.

59,500 oz Gold

Anteil PFN (35 %):

327.565 oz Palladium
115.000 oz Platin
20.800 oz Gold

Das ist schon eine saftige measured und indicated Resource.
Hinzu kommt noch die Inferred Rescource. ( bisher unberücksichtigt )

MAR (BAMOOS LAKE)
Measured and Indicated Resources of 40 million tonnes containing 1,373,000 ounces of palladium (1.07 g/t), 372,000 ounces of platinum (0.29 g/t), 128,000 ounces of gold (0.10g/t) and 317 million pounds of copper (0.36%). An additional 4.6 million tonnes containing 157,000 ounces of palladium (1.06g/t), 49,000 ounces of platinum (0.33g/t), 18,000 ounces of gold (0.12 g/t) and 31 million pounds of copper (0.31%) of Inferred Resources.

PTD (GEORDIE LAKE)
Measured and Indicated Resources of 24.4 million tonnes containing 422,714 ounces of palladium (0.54 g/t), 23,484 ounces of platinum (0.03 g/t), 31,312 ounces of gold (0.04 g/t) and 177 million pounds of copper (0.33%). An additional 5.4 million tonnes containing 109,143 ounces of palladium (0.63 g/t) 6,930 ounces of platinum (0.04 g/t), 8,662 ounces of gold (0.05 g/t) and 42.8 million pounds of copper (0.36%) of Inferred Resources.

PFN ( RIVER VALLEY)
Measured and Indicated Resources of 30.5 million tonnes containing 953,900 ounces of palladium (0.97 g/t), 329,500 ounces of platinum (0.34 g/t), 59,500 ounces of gold (0.06 g/t) and 67 million pounds of copper (0.10%). An additional 2.3 million tonnes containing 67,000 ounces of palladium (0.87g/t), 23,800 ounces of platinum (0.31g/t), 4,000 ounces of gold (0.05 g/t) and 4.6 million pounds of copper (0.09%) of Inferred Resources.

PDL (LAC DES ISLES)
· Cost $359 oz to produce its Pd. (lost $54 million in 2005)
· Produced 177,000 oz Pd.
· 12,000 tonne per day operation.
· average grade last year was 1.47 g/t Pd.

Open Pit
Proven and probable reserves of 13.6 million tonnes of 2.13 g/t Pd, 0.22 g/t Pt, 0.16 g/t Au, 0.07% Cu, 0.06% Ni (929,000 ounces palladium). Measured and Indicated Resources of 29.0 million tonnes of 1.51 g/t Pd, 0.18 g/t Pt, 0.11 g/t Au, 0.05% Cu, 0.06% Ni. (1,404,000 ounces palladium)

(High Grade - underground)
Probable reserves of 3.5 million tonnes of 6.62 g/t Pd, 0.40 g/t Pt, 0.34 g/t Au, 0.07% Cu, 0.08% Ni. (754,000 ounces palladium)

bottom line = the grade is a bit low and the price of palladium is too. I think if the Pd price can get to $400 and look like it's going to stay there for the next 10 years, then we have a mine. It's not ideal but it's better than moose pasture.


...klingt gut, ist aber wahrscheinlich zu wenig für ne profitable Mine...
