eine der stahlproduzenten soll(te) verkauft werden, laut eigenen Angaben im Jahresbericht.
Ich hoffe natürlich, dass die sich wieder berappeln.
Schließlich ist das Stahlgeschäft in einer transition economy mit eins der Standbeine.

Ganz schön ruhig hier geworden.

Bin mit einer ersten kleinen Position dabei, da ich hoffe, dass bei dem Wachstum das in Vietnam gerade erzielt wird die Stahlunternehmen positive Ergebnisse erwirtschfaten und den Turnaround vollzogen haben.
Sollte dieses der Fall sein und es gelungen sein die restlichen Anteile zu übernehmen dürfte der Kurs sich in andere Regionen bewegen.

Die Gesellschaft scheint aufjedenfall sehr gut aufgestellt zu sein und das Management sieht vielversprechend aus. Wenn ich mir die aktuelle Market Cap anschaue scheint zukünftig noch eine Menge Potential vorhanden zu sein.

Gruß an alle Investierten und hoffentlich viel Spass.

Ich wollte nur sagen das ich heute MASSIV aufgestockt habe....ist denn hier niemandem entgangen, das VIETNAM`S Börse so gut wie gar nicht korriegiert?

Vietnam Industrial Investments reported NPAT up 115% to $532,000 for the year ended 31 December 2006. Revenues from ordinary activities were $16.99m, down 2% on the pcp. Diluted EPS was 0.52 cents compared to (3.4) cents in the pcp. Net operating cash inflow was $4.82m compared to $2.44m in the pcp. No dividend was declared.

The performance of the remaining operations including Austnam Joint Stock Corporation (“Austnam”), VRC Weldmesh
Vietnam Ltd (“VRC”) and Total Building Systems Ltd (“TBS”) for 2006 was mixed. Whilst VRC has implemented a
significant expansion program to improve production capacity and market share, increased sales revenues have not
translated into profitability. Instead, these expansion costs have impacted upon VRC’s operating loss of $0.26 million.
Austnam has also recorded an operating loss of $0.63 million as competition within the metal roofing market in Vietnam
strengthened. Austnam’s management has initiated a diversification strategy to counter the issues faced by its core product.
However this has not yet been fully implemented.
In contrast, TBS, the full service building systems provider, achieved a profitable market result in 2006. This operation is
rapidly establishing itself as a prominent turn-key solution building company in Vietnam with export market potential.
To conclude, shareholders should note that should the transaction involving Vinausteel and SSESTEEL proceed, you will be
consulted as part of this process. Further, on behalf of the Board, I would also like to acknowledge the dedication and

SALE OF ROLLING MILLS
The Company wishes to advise that the VII Board has agreed commercial terms to sell the Company’s
70% interest in Vinausteel Ltd (“Vinausteel”) and 100% interest in SSESTEEL Ltd (“SSESTEEL”) to
NatSteel Asia Pte Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Steel and unrelated to the VII Group of
companies. The parties have entered into a Share and Purchase Agreement.
Completion of the Share and Purchase Agreement will not occur until several conditions precedent
have been satisfied including the approval of VII shareholders and a post completion audit. Further
details of the conditions precedent are annexed to this announcement.
The indicative purchase consideration will be adjusted based on a number of factors, including
Vinausteel and SSESTEEL being debt free and a minimum net working capital and tangible fixed
asset value. The net purchase consideration payable to VII will be determined following a post
completion audit. Based on the audited financial statements as at 31 December 2006, the Company
expects that the amount it will be paid at completion, net of consultant’s fees, will be approximately
US$10.8 million. However, the actual amount may be higher or lower depending on the above
factors. The expected amount of US$10.8 million includes approximately US$2.7 million which will
be held in escrow pending recovery of certain receivables...

Tata Steel arm buys Vietnam plants at $41mn

NatSteel Asia Pte Ltd (NSA), the Singapore-based subsidiary of Tata Steel, said on Thursday it has acquired two new steel-bar rolling plants in Vietnam for $41 million as part of strategy to expand in the Asia-Pacific.

NatSteel struck a conditional agreement with Vietnam Industrial Investments Ltd (VII), an investment holding company, to acquire VII's 100 per cent stake in Structure Steel Engineering Pte Ltd and majority 70 per cent in Vinausteel Ltd.

Operations at SSE and Vinausteel have been affected by the volatility in prices of billets, a raw material, said Alan Young, chief operating officer of Vietnam Industrial. Tata Steel plans to supply low-costs billets made in India to NatSteel by end of next year, Mukherjee said on Feb. 15.

"Tata is a steelmaker that can produce billets, and once they can produce enough to supply their other operations they'll be able to send billets here," Young said in a phone interview. "It makes sense for them to have an outlet to utilize that."

Vietnam Industrial's shareholders will get $10.8 million, including $2.7 million to be held in escrow pending recovery of past dues and finalization of tax issues, the company said in a statement to the Australian Stock Exchange.

Wieso sollte ich den Verkauf bereuen ?

Also bisher ist die Reaktion der Aktie auf den Verkauf doch sehr entäuschend. Bei der Dursicht des 2006er Reports fällt einem zudem auf, dass die Performance der sich noch im Portfolio befindlichen Unternehmen, sich nicht besonders herausragend anhört.

Bin eigentlich auch überzeugt aber berauschend ist das momentan alles nicht.

Nun gut, ich hatte auch mit einer Kursexplosion gerechnet, aber denoch
bin ich nach der Restrukturierung sicher das wir an diesem Titel noch extrem viel Freude haben, ist die strategische Neuausrichtung doch sehr spannend.

Aber wie gesagt an der Börse muß man Recht bekommen, nicht Recht haben.

Ich werde jedoch Kurse unter 0,07 € zum aggressiven Positionsaufbau nutzen.
