Melkior Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:MKR) is pleased to present results for 54 rock samples from a new trench on the 100% owned Timmins West Property, called the "ZamZam Zone". The trench is located 150 metres northwest of the Jowsey occurrence where previous sampling returned 280 g/t gold (News Release Oct. 5, 2006).

Trenching in this area was initiated this summer to access bedrock over a strong multiline Induced Polarization (IP) anomaly that was identified last winter. IP is considered an effective geophysical technique for the detection of concentrations of disseminated sulphides. The trenching determined the IP anomaly is blind; however 25 metres west of the IP anomaly a significant quartz vein was encountered. Subsequent trenching has uncovered 55 metres of a gold mineralized system. This area was overburden covered and had not been sampled previously. Mineralization extends beyond the limits of the trench in both directions.
The vein orientation, assay results, geologic structure, and proximity indicate a strong relationship between the ZamZam Zone and the adjacent blind IP anomaly 25 metres away. Within the intrusive host on this property a very strong positive correlation has been observed between sulphide content and gold assays. The strong IP anomaly indicates a significant zone of possible sulphide concentration within 100 metres of the surface. This represents a high priority drill target for a drill campaign later this year.
Samples submitted for analysis were obtained using a chisel over the indicated sample width, with the exception of MKR-WTK-94 to 100 designated grab samples. MKR-WTK-94 to 100 were taken over a two metres length where the mineralized width was approximately half a metre. The table below provides the assay results for the ZamZam Zone. The assay cross-sections are spaced approximately 2 metres apart along the 55 metres of vein exposed in the trench.
The current summer program of prospecting, trenching and sampling was carried out on a number of historic gold occurrences including the 1010 vein area. Assay results from this work are pending and expected to be received within three weeks.
Rock samples were assayed for gold by Bourlamaque Assay Laboratories in Val-d'Or, Quebec using the standard fire assay technique with a gravimetric finish.

Gestern zogen Kurs und Umsatz schön an. Ich hoffe, wir können jetzt langsam mal in einen schönen neuen Trend gelangen. In Trends wird richtig Geld verdient. Warum nicht? Los Baby!
Zum Schluss liess die Handelsaktivität etwas nach. Die Briefseite war sehr dünn und hätte kein Hinderniss dargestellt.
Aber ich denke, 14,8% sind ganz ordentlich für einen Tag.
