ATLAS HIRES VALUE RELATIONS TO PROVIDE INVESTOR RELATIONS SERVICES IN EUROPE

Atlas Minerals Inc. has entered into an investor relations agreement with Value Relations GmbH. Value Relations is a full-service international investor relations company advising and assisting clients in all facets of investor relations in Europe. The managing partner of Value Relations is Christoph Bruening. Value Relations' head office is in Frankfurt, Germany. This agreement is subject to Toronto Stock Exchange approval.

Pursuant to the agreement, Value Relations will provide the company with advice, and assist in structuring, co-ordinating and organizing general investor relations activities in Europe for the next six months. The company has agreed to pay 5,000 euros a month, plus disbursements, travel expenses, meetings and other related costs. Value Relations has also been granted 50,000 options exercisable at a price of 40 cents for a period of one year.

Value Relations also hosts an important convention called Stock Days, which is held four times a year in Frankfurt and elsewhere in Europe. Stock Day brings together members of the financial community, including brokers, analysts, individual and institutional investors, and mining executives.

(die "Gesellschaft" oder "Atlas") (TSX Venture Exchange: AMR) gibt den Abschluss eines Investor Relations Vertrags mit Value Relations GmbH bekannt. Value Relations ist ein Unternehmen, das umfassende Dienstleistungen für die Anlegerpflege anbietet und Kunden in ganz Europa hinsichtlich aller Facetten von Investor Relations berät und unterstützt. Geschäftsführender Teilhaber von Value Relations, deren Zentrale sich in Frankfurt a. M. befindet, ist Christoph Brüning. Der jetzt abgeschlossene Vertrag muss noch von der Börse in Toronto genehmigt werden.
Im Rahmen der vertraglichen Vereinbarung wird Value Relations der Gesellschaft in den kommenden sechs Monaten Beratung und Unterstützung bei der Strukturierung, Koordination und Organisation allgemeiner Investor Relations-Aktivitäten in Europa gewähren. Chart vom 12/04/08

AMR folgt noch dem Downtrend und ist am vorletzten Support bei 0,25 CAD angelangt. Dieser sollte unbedingt halten, sonst steuert die Aktie auf das ATL von 0,19 CAD zu und wird dann schwer zu bremsen sein. Sollte er halten, geht der Chart in eine Seitwärtsbewegung über.

Die junge Aktie ist momentan noch sehr monatsvolatil. Bei guten News wäre eine deutliche Erholung denkbar.

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - April 11, 2008) - Atlas Minerals Inc. (TSX VENTURE:AMR) (the "Company") wishes to announce that the terms of the financing previously announced on February 27, 2008 are being revised due to market conditions. The Company has engaged Canaccord Capital Corporation to act as agent (the "Agent"), on a commercially reasonable efforts basis, by way of a private placement of up to 4,000,000 units ("Units") at a selling price of $0.25 per Unit, for gross proceeds to the Company of up to $1 million. Each Unit will be comprised of 1 common share (a "Common Share") of Atlas and one half of 1 common share purchase warrant. Each whole warrant (a "Warrant") will entitle the holder thereof to purchase 1 additional Common Share for 24 months after the closing at an exercise price of $0.35 per share. The Agent shall have the option, exercisable at any time prior to closing, to increase the size of the offering by up to $500,000. Proceeds of the financing will be used to continue exploration activities on the Company's Tres Chorreras property in Ecuador, which has recently demonstrated a significant body of mineralization not previously confirmed, and for general working capital.

The Company will pay Canaccord $15,000 and 8% of the gross proceeds upon closing. Further the Company will issue to Canaccord agents warrant equaling 8% of the units sold. Each agent warrant shall be exercisable for one common share for 24 months after the closing at $0.30 per share.

Am 18. April 2008 hat die verfassungsgebende Versammlung von Ecuador einem Bergbaumandat zugestimmt, das neben anderen Folgen auch, Bergbauaktivitäten für 180 Tage aussetzte, und festgestellt, dass es die Obliegenheit des Ministeriums für Minen und Erdöl sei, aus einer Reihe von Gründen heraus, verschiedene Bergbaukonzessionen innerhalb Ecuadors zu widerrufen. Präsident Correa hat verschiedentlich festgestellt, dass Bergbauaktivitäten in diesem Land willkommen sind, solange sie in einer Art und Weise erfolgen, die sozial- und ökologisch verträglich ist, und dass der Staat den Unternehmen die Integrität ihrer rechtmäßig erworbenen Rechte und Ländereien garantieren werde. Diese unerwartete Entwicklung hat jedoch Atlas veranlasst, ihre Operationen zu überdenken und das Ergebnis der Überlegungen im Folgenden bekannt zu geben:

2007 hat Atlas mit Bohrungen auf der in der Provinz Azuay in Ecuador gelegenen Tres Chorreras Konzession begonnen. Die Explorationsgenehmigung wurde von der gegenwärtigen Regierung erteilt. Wir haben uns an alle maßgeblichen Vorschriften gehalten und die höchsten Standards bezüglich sozialer und ökologischer Auflagen erfüllt. Diese hat die Gesellschaft gerne akzeptiert als die Explorationsrechte auf der Liegenschaft erteilt wurden.

Die Gesellschaft hat das Bohrprogramm über 6.000 m abgeschlossen. Während der Klärung, wie dieses Mandat in der Praxis umgesetzt wird, wird das Büro der Gesellschaft in Quito mit der Auswertung der Ergebnisse des Bohrprogramms fortfahren und eine Ressourcenkalkulation erstellen lassen. Gleichzeitig plant die Gesellschaft das Personal vor Ort auf das Maß zu reduzieren, das notwendig ist, um ihren ökologischen Überwachungstätigkeiten nachkommen und weiterhin ihren Status als Explorationsgesellschaft in Ecuador sicherstellen zu können.

Wegen der durch das Bergbaumandat verursachten Ungewissheit wird die bereits bekannt gemachte Finanzierung durch Privatplatzierung über Makler nicht fortgesetzt. Künftige Finanzierungen sollen privat und in kleinen abgestuften Beträgen erfolgen, um einer Verwässerung vorzubeugen, bis sich die politische Lage geklärt hat und Atlas sein Explorationsprogramm wieder aufnimmt. Die Gesellschaft wird ebenso strategische Alternativen mit anderen Gesellschaften abwägen, soweit sie im besten Interesse der Aktionäre liegen.

ATLAS UPDATE ON ECUADOR MINING MANDATE

Calgary, Alberta – May 8, 2008 – Atlas Minerals Inc. (TSXV - AMR) The Company wishes to announce that Atlas Minerals continues to work and consult with the Ecuadorian government and industry peers in order to mitigate the impacts to the Company of the Mining Mandate passed by the Ecuadorian Constituent Assembly on April 18, 2008. These consultations have the specific goal of being able to continue Atlas Minerals’ positive exploration activities at the Tres Chorreras concession. The Company’s actions since it began operations in the country clearly demonstrate that it has been committed to responsible industry practices in Ecuador and is therefore aligned with the future proposals for the mining industry recently outlined by Ecuador’s President, Rafael Correa.

Until such time that the Company has a clear understanding of the long term effects of the Mining Mandate, the Company has ceased exploration activities in accordance with the dictate of the Mandate, laid off the vast majority of its local concession workers, and is in the process of reducing its administrative activities and costs to a minimum. The company requires a resolution to the uncertainties of its concession holdings before it can continue with its promising exploration and development program.

To that end, the Company wishes to announce management appointments that it feels will better serve its interests in Ecuador. The Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Andy Taunton to the positions of President and CEO. Mr. Taunton, a resident of Quito, Ecuador, is currently the Company’s COO and President of Atlas Moly SA, the Company’s wholly owned Ecuadorian subsidiary. The Company also wishes to announce the appointment of Mr. Nick DeMare to the position of CFO. Mr. DeMare is a Chartered Accountant and President of Chase Management Ltd. Mr. DeMare is currently a director of Atlas Minerals and is also a director and officer of several TSX and TSX-V listed companies.

To accommodate the focus on a positive resolution in Ecuador, Mr. Barry Herring and Ms. Leslie Vickers have agreed to step aside in their positions as officers of the Company to permit these management appointments. Mr. Herring will remain as a director and Ms. Vickers will consult to the Company as necessary. The Company would like to thank Mr. Herring and Ms. Vickers for their past and continuing contributions.
