China Carbon Graphite Group, Inc. Completes Construction of Its New 30,000-Ton Production Facility
NEW YORK, Jan. 24, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- China Carbon Graphite Group, Inc. (OTCBB:CHGI) ("China Carbon" or the "Company"), the largest wholesale supplier of fine-grain and high-purity graphite in China, and one of the nation's top manufacturers of carbon and graphite products, today announced that it has completed the exterior construction of its new 30,000-ton plant, and will start installation and shakedown testing of a 4200-ton compressor and 36 annular kilns soon. The new facilities are expected to begin production by June 2011.

The new plant will focus on manufacturing ultra-high graphite electrodes with a diameter ranging from 600 to 800mm, fine grain, and high-purity graphite. The industrial application of these widely used products, which includes, aerospace, defense, automotive and clean tech end products, currently carries the greatest demand of all forms of graphite.

According to the Company, this new plant will have the largest and the most technologically advanced equipment in China capable of producing ultra-high electrodes with a diameter as large as 800 mm, and rounded fine grain electrodes with a diameter as large as 600 mm. The demand of these two types of graphite products is currently overwhelming. The expansion makes the Company China's first domestic producer of 800 mm diameter ultra-high electrodes and also further strengthens the Company's leading position in China's fine grain graphite market.

"Once new facilities are fully operational, our production capacity will be doubled from our current level," said Donghai Yu, China Carbon's CEO. "This new plant will focus on manufacturing higher margin products, including ultra high electrodes, and fine grain and high-purity graphite, with a gross profit margin of 30%, 35% and 21-29%, respectively. As a result, we fully expect to have higher profitability beginning in 2011 from a combination of increased production, higher margin sales and our ability of locking in raw material costs by using our $27 million loan."

"This expansion represents an important step for China Carbon that will solidify its status as one of the most significant manufacturers of graphite and related products in China."

The company reported dramatically higher sales and earnings for the quarter ending September 30, 2010.
China Carbon Graphite has started building new forming and baking plants in order to meet the growing demand for high-purity (and higher gross margin) products in the global market.
The company’s long-term strategy is to diversify and expand its product offering by manufacturing graphite that would be used as a reflector or moderator in nuclear reactors in China — a product that would have significantly higher profit margins than its current offerings. At present, there are 11 nuclear power plants in China, with 15 more plants currently under construction — and only one other manufacturer of nuclear graphite pure enough for use in these plants. The company works with Hunan University and Qinghua University to research and develop nuclear-grade graphite.

... planned expansion to 60,000 tons by June 2011 ... (entspricht einer Verdoppelung der jetzigen Kapazität) ...
Assuming the company can maintain its quarterly sales at the third-quarter level of $10 million, and net income of 9 cents per share per quarter, a share price of $3.50 still puts CHGI on a single digit PE ratio. That is 85% above the current share price of $1.90. ... Note that this valuation is conservative and completely ignores the potential for margin expansion with higher margin products and it also completely ignores the capacity expansion to 60,000 tons which will be complete in June and it assumes only a single digit PE ratio.
To the extent the market values CHGI with an expanded capacity at 60,000 tons, an expanded margin or an expanded PE above the single digits, this valuation should be in the $5 to $6 range, which is well above the required thresholds to list on the Nasdaq or Amex. I note, however, that I don't expect to see a $5 to $6 share price until after earnings are released, the stock is uplisted and the company announces planned sales of nuclear graphite.
... CHGI is planning a non-deal road show in February to get in front of institutional investors ...

China Carbon Graphite Group, Inc. to Integrate Natural Graphite Mines
NEW YORK, Feb 15, 2011 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX) -- China Carbon Graphite Group, Inc. /quotes/comstock/11k!chgi (CHGI 2.00, +0.05, +2.56%) ("China Carbon" or the "Company") plans to integrate natural graphite mining capacity in Inner Mongolia.

Natural graphite comes in several forms: Flake, amorphous and lump. Natural flake and synthetic graphite are currently used in renewable energy solutions such as lithium-ion batteries as well as in fuel cells, and in nuclear power stations. Very fine grades of natural flake graphite can also be transformed into synthetic diamonds.

To better protect the environment and to curb pollutants generated during the production of certain natural resources, in 2010, the Chinese government decided to implement a number of new restrictions on natural resource industry sectors, including certain export restrictions. As a result of these restrictions, numerous mines were limited in their operations, and the market prices of rare earth elements and certain natural resources that originate in these mines, such as graphite, were driven up.

Graphite is widely used in many different industries. It is used as a refractory material in the steel industry, and as a conductive material, a lubricating material and a metallurgical material in various other industries including aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, nuclear power, battery manufacturing, and generally as a high-tech composite material. For this reason, China has included graphite in its protective measures taken to assure domestic supply, much in the same way it has treated rare earth elements.

As a result, Graphite saw price appreciation in 2010 along with rising Chinese demand for all types of industrial minerals, including the increasingly popular rare earth elements. We believe this upward trend will continue in 2011.

In light of China's increasingly restrictive posture on rare earth and other important resources, as well as world dependency on China for graphite supply (it has been reported that China exports over 70% of world's graphite every year), graphite is on course to become a very important strategic resource. As one of the few listed companies in the graphite industry, the Company has the state-of-art technology in quality control and environment protection, and expects to enjoy sustained and rapid growth in the near future, since the new restrictions are expected to eliminate those less efficient competitors in this industry.

Since the beginning of 2011, aside from expanding production capacity, China Carbon is seeking to initiate an acquisition, with the objective of becoming a vertically integrated leader in the Chinese graphite industry.

China Carbon is located in Inner Mongolia, a region with very rich mineral resources. Beginning in 2011, the Company plans to gradually integrate upstream resources of natural graphite mines. With the Company's extensive management experience and relationships in the carbon and graphite industry, management is confident in the Company's ability to achieve current objectives.

About China Carbon Graphite Group, Inc.

China Carbon Graphite Group, through its affiliate, Xingyong Carbon Co., Ltd., manufactures carbon and graphite based products in China. The company is the largest wholesale supplier of fine grain and high-purity graphite in China and is one of the nation's top overall producers of carbon and graphite products. Fine grain graphite is widely used in smelting for colored metals and rare-earth metal smelting as well as in the manufacture of molds. High purity graphite is used in metallurgy, mechanics, aviation, electronics, atomic energy, the chemical industry, food industry and a variety of other fields. In September 2007, the company was approved and designated by the Chinese Ministry of Science & Technology as a "National Hi-tech Enterprise" amongst over 400 other carbon graphite producers in China. China Carbon is the only non-state-owned company to receive this honor. For more information, visit www.chinacarboninc.com.

China Carbon Graphite Group Expects Continued Growth Despite Recent Events in Japan
NEW YORK, Mar 23, 2011 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX) -- China Carbon Graphite Group, Inc. /quotes/comstock/11k!chgi (CHGI 1.71, -0.04, -2.29%) ("China Carbon" or the "Company"), the largest wholesale supplier of fine-grain and high-purity graphite in China and one of the nation's top manufacturers of carbon and graphite products, today announced that its management believes that the ensuing problems with Japan's nuclear facilities are not expected to diminish the Company's growth prospects.

Despite the recent earthquake in Japan and subsequent problems at Japanese nuclear facilities, reports from the Chinese Government continue to reiterate that nuclear expansion in China will continue. According to the state-run Xinhua news agency, Chinese Vice Minister of Environmental Protection Zhang Lijun said: "China will not change its determination and plan for developing nuclear power." Currently, there are 13 nuclear power reactors in China and 25 more are under construction, with plans to start construction on more facilities soon. Each of China's 13 operating nuclear power reactors requires at least 10,000 tons of nuclear graphite every year.

In 2012, China Carbon intends to begin producing isostatic graphite, including solar, semiconductor or nuclear graphite. Management believes that China Carbon would likely have the support of the Chinese Government if the Company decides to produce nuclear graphite, which is used as reflectors within nuclear reactors. China is asking domestic enterprises to supply the nation's burgeoning nuclear industry; Chinese companies, like China Carbon, stand to benefit considerably. China is quickly becoming independent in regards to nuclear reactor design and construction and the nation plans to increase domestic manufacturing of nuclear plants and equipment. China hopes to be completely self-reliant in respect to the design and project management of their nuclear facilities as well. China Carbon's position as an established, large domestic supplier and the Company's continuing research development activities related to isostatic graphite puts China Carbon in an excellent position to potentially do well in the nuclear power industry in the future. In the event that the Chinese Government chooses in the near future to pursue solar power expansion instead of nuclear power as a result of the recent catastrophic events in Japan, China Carbon is confident that it will be capable of manufacturing solar graphite to meet alternative energy demands.

China Carbon CEO, Donghai Yu, stated: "China Carbon's market strategy is extremely flexible. Our technology is applicable to multiple industries, allowing us to consider market demand before making any decisions. Regardless of the future developments in China's nuclear industry, we anticipate that graphite will increasingly be in demand. Solar graphite is an isostatic graphite, which is a key component to manufacturing poly-si silicon, which is currently in short supply but in high demand in the solar industry. Many foreign poly-si silicon producers are arranging to shift their production plants to China. As demand increases for nuclear or isostatic graphite in particular, and graphite in general, China Carbon looks forward to becoming a prominent supplier of graphite."

During the course of 2010, China Carbon doubled annual production capacity from 15,000 tons to 30,000 tons, driving revenues higher during the nine months ended September 30, 2010. The Company intends to double annual production capacity again by June 2011 to 60,000 tons. China Carbon expects to utilize its new facility, which has an annual production capacity of 30,000 tons, primarily to produce its existing products, including graphite electrodes, fine grain graphite and high purity graphite, which are used in a variety of high-tech applications including aerospace, defense, automotive and clean tech end products.

In 2012, China Carbon plans to develop isostatic graphite--including nuclear graphite, solar graphite and semiconductor graphite--in a separate plant. The Company expects that $12 million dollars will be needed to purchase an isostatic molding machine and to construct the new facilities in order to produce isostatic graphite. The Company anticipates that cash generated by operations and provided by local Chinese banks should be sufficient to fund this expansion. The Company is currently operating at 100% capacity.

China Carbon Graphite Group, Inc. Expects to Report Strong Sales Momentum for the First Quarter of 2011

NEW YORK, May 5, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- China Carbon Graphite Group, Inc. (OTCBB:CHGI) ("China Carbon" or the "Company"), the largest wholesale supplier of fine-grain and high-purity graphite in China and one of the nation's top manufacturers of carbon and graphite products, today announced that the Company anticipates reporting a considerable increase in revenue for the first quarter of 2011 as compared with the same quarter of 2010.

China Carbon’s preliminary, unaudited revenue during the first quarter of 2011 was approximately $11.6 million USD, reflecting an increase of approximately $6.7 million USD or 138%, when compared to revenue of $4.8 million during the first quarter of 2010. This substantial improvement in revenue is due to its doubled capacity and the significant increase in the sales of its high margin products.

Industrial Minerals recently reported that the price range for industry standard large flake high carbon graphite has risen from $2,050-$2,500 per ton to $2,275-$3,000 per ton. In the third and fourth quarters of 2010, China Carbon accurately projected that the per ton graphite price would increase within this range.

Anticipating these price increases, after securing a $27 million USD loans from the Construction Bank of China, China Carbon purchased additional levels of inventory and paid advances to suppliers to lock in the price of its raw materials. This well-timed strategic move has China Carbon expecting improved gross margins for the first quarter of 2011 as well as considerable full year increases.

The notable rise in the commodity prices associated with carbon graphite is being driven in large part by the mounting demand for carbon graphite, which is in turn being driven by increased manufacturing associated with global economic growth. At this time, China Carbon plans to accommodate by expanding its current operations and the Company estimates that the construction of its new baking plant—which is expected to boost its annual production capacity from 30,000 tons to 60,000 tons—will be completed by June 2011 and fully operational by August 2011, subject to potential delays involved in construction, installation or production involved in the development of a new manufacturing facility. The Company is currently running at 100 percent capacity.

China Carbon plans to file its Form 10-Q containing first quarter 2011 results by May 16, 2011.

      Hallo,
