New Dragon Asia Corp. Announces Fiscal 2004 Results
Monday March 28, 7:30 am ET
Net Income Jumps 70 Percent for The Year; Net Sales Up Over 27 Percent

SHENZHEN, China, March 28, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- New Dragon Asia Corp. (AMEX:NWD - News) today announced financial results for its fiscal year and fourth quarter ended December 25, 2004 -- reflecting organic growth and contributions from its new packaging and milling operations, both of which were acquired in 2004.

Net income for the fiscal fourth quarter increased 16 percent to $2.6 million, or $0.06 per diluted share, from $2.2 million, or $0.05 per diluted share, a year earlier. Net sales for the same period jumped 26.9 percent to $13.4 million from $10.6 million a year earlier. Income from operations climbed 70.2 percent to $2.4 million from $1.4 million last year, primarily as a result of a consolidation of the company`s sales offices.

Net income for the full year increased 70 percent to $4.6 million, or $0.10 per diluted share, from $2.7 million, or $0.06 per diluted share, a year ago. For the same period, net sales climbed more than 27 percent to $39.2 million from $30.8 million a year earlier. Gross profit for the full year increased to $7.3 million from $5.9 million a year ago, reflecting a stable margin of 19 percent. Income from operations more than doubled to $4.5 million from $2.2 million in fiscal 2003.

The company`s strong sales and earnings performance for 2004 reflects the success of an ongoing strategy to expand through internal growth, as well as from acquisitions. Our acquisition of a manufacturing facility in Penglai City in Shandong Province last June has greatly enhanced our growth potential, with an approximately 30 percent increase in capacity on an annualized basis. Equally important, it is indicative of other acquisition opportunities and the corresponding benefits to the company`s growth strategy moving forward,`` said Heng Jing Lu, chief executive officer.

He noted New Dragon Asia`s continued focus on leveraging its strength in production, distribution, brand name awareness and quality recognition within the retail and commercial markets, with a particular emphasis on producing more premium products. Lu highlighted the company`s receiving Grade A certification in 2004 for its flour products by the China Green Food Development Center, an organization solely authorized by the Chinese government to issue the ``green`` and organic label to food producers.

Lu said that an analysis of sales for 2004 revealed a significant expansion of its overseas sales with New Dragon now exporting to at least six countries, including: Korea, Hong Kong, Sweden, Canada, Singapore and Greece. Korea was the only export country in 2003. As previously announced, PARKnSHOP, a leading supermarket chain based in Hong Kong and a member of the A.S. Watson Group (ASW), was one of New Dragon`s leading new customers in 2004, ordering approximately 1,000 tons of flour with an aggregate sales value of approximately $500,000.

New Dragon Asia Corporation Receives Order for Soybean Protein Powder from Coca-Cola
Thursday July 28, 7:30 am ET
Acquires Previously Leased Soybean Production Facility

SHENZHEN, China, July 28, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- New Dragon Asia Corp. (AMEX:NWD - News) today announced it has received an initial order for approximately 13.2 tons of soybean protein powder from Coca-Cola (China) Beverages Ltd., based in Shanghai, China. The company`s soybean operation is expected to generate revenues of more than $5.0 million in 2005 from Coca-Cola and other existing customers, additional terms were not disclosed.

``This order follows an extensive evaluation by Coca-Cola`s quality control department, with New Dragon passing its stringent standards. It clearly demonstrates the importance of maintaining rigorous production standards and offering our customers the highest quality. We look forward to additional opportunities to leverage our relationship with one of the world`s leading brand names,`` said Li Xia Wang, chief executive officer.

New Dragon Asia also said it recently acquired the plant and machinery utilized for the production of soybean-derived products for Coca-Cola and other customers from a state-owned enterprise. The facility, located in Longkou City, Shangdong Province, China, had been operated by New Dragon Asia under a 10-year lease agreement, with three production lines and aggregate annual production capacity of 3,000 tons of soybean protein powder and 1,500 tons of soybean milk powder.

New Dragon Asia said that a portion of funds raised through a recently completed $6.0 million private placement was utilized for this acquisition and its planned purchase of a new production line that will add annual capacity of approximately 2,000 tons of soybean powder. The new production line will be primarily utilized for Coca-Cola`s soybean powder order requirements.

The facility utilizes only organic soybean sources, which complements New Dragon Asia`s Grade A certification of its flour products by the China Green Food Development Center, an organization solely authorized by the Chinese government to issue the ``green`` and organic label to food producers. In addition to Coca-Cola, customers of this facility include baby food and cereal food manufacturers, hotels and other beverage manufacturers. The facility also produces a special type of soybean milk powder for the Chinese National Army.

New Dragon Asia Corp. Reports 2005 Second Fiscal Quarter Results
Thursday August 4, 7:30 am ET
Net Income Up 77.9 Percent for Six-Month Period; Sales Climb 8.3 Percent

SHENZHEN, China, Aug. 4, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- New Dragon Asia Corp. (AMEX:NWD - News) today reported results for its second fiscal quarter ended June 25, 2005, reflecting an increase in net sales and net income.

Net income for the second fiscal quarter increased 83.3 percent to $988,000, or $0.02 per diluted share, from $539,000, or $0.01 per diluted share, a year earlier, supported by revenue growth and the positive impact of a tax refund related to government incentives in certain regions of China in which the company has operations. Net sales for the same period increased 5.2 percent to $9.0 million from $8.5 million a year earlier, reflecting strength of the company`s flour business.

Net income for the six-month period jumped 77.9 percent to $1.6 million, or $0.03 per diluted share, from $877,000, $0.02 per diluted share, a year earlier, primarily due to increased revenue growth. Net sales for the same period increased 8.3 percent to $17.3 million from $16 million last year.

``Results of the second fiscal quarter and six-month period reflect the ongoing benefits of increased flour production capacity, as well as selling and marketing investments to further leverage the company`s brand name and distribution strength,`` said Li Xia Wang, chief executive officer.

She highlighted New Dragon Asia`s recent financing, which it completed subsequent to the end of the second quarter -- enabling the company to continue its acquisition program, support marketing efforts and focus on numerous opportunities within the food industry in China.

As previously announced, New Dragon Asia acquired the plant and machinery utilized for the production of soybean-derived products from a state-owned enterprise. The facility, located in Longkou City, Shangdong Province, China, had been operated by New Dragon Asia under a 10-year lease agreement. It has three production lines and aggregate annual production capacity of 3,000 tons of soybean protein powder and 1,500 tons of soybean milk powder. New Dragon Asia commenced its soybean business on July 1, 2005.

The company announced last week the receipt of an initial order for approximately 13.2 tons of soybean protein powder from Coca-Cola (China) Beverages Ltd., based in Shanghai, China. New Dragon Asia indicated that the soybean operation is expected to generate revenues of approximately $5.0 million from Coca-Cola and other existing customers.

An increase in selling and distribution expenses for the second quarter and six-month period primarily reflects promotional costs in several key cities in China.

General and administrative expenses decreased by 12.7 percent to $405,000 from $464,000 a year earlier, primarily as a result of ongoing cost controls.

Wang emphasized that the company`s balance sheet remains very strong. At June 25, 2005, the company had working capital of $10.4 million compared with $7.4 million at June 25, 2004.

      About The Company

Also ich hatte jede Menge Spaß mit New Dragon.
