I totally agree with Investment Underground's analysis on Nok. In my point of view, at this point it's premature to judge and determine the successs of Microkia's Lumia 900 launch, even though early reports of Lumia handsets sales from AT&T and Amazon are positive and quite impressive. But news of Nokia faces tough competition from Asian cheap smartphones in emerging markets like China and India - 2 big smartphone markets that Nokia aims to make inroads to win - have clouded Nokia's prospect. On the other hand, sales of Lumia 900 in United Kingdom and Europe are mixed. This indicates that European smartphone users haven't quite accept the introduction of WP phones. But this trend may change depends on Microkia's marketing efforts or price cutting in order to win the Europeans' acceptance of the Lumia 900. In order for Nokia to become a leader in smartphone market and profitable, it must win in all fronts - China, India, Europe, South America, and North America of course. It is a very, very tough job for Nokia's CEO to execute the war plan to win over iPhones and Android handsets. For investors who are long on Nok, we have to wait for the upcoming Microkia launch of Lumia 900 and tablets which run on Window 8OS, and Lumia handset equipped with 41 Megapixel camara. Microsoft is working to change the desktop PC's interface which will be operating on Window 8OS, so that the desktop PC and WP handsets will be running on the same platform. Microsoft's strategy is to make the PC users to get used to Window 8OS, and of course will get used to Lumia 900 8OS. This is a risky effort, but I think the bet could be well pay off for Microkia, considering Microsoft is the world's top software maker which controls almost 90% of world's PC operating system. To be fair in determining Nokia's Lumia 900's success, the investors have to give the company at least 2 quarters or 1 year to decide if Nokia will ever succeed with its partnership with Microsoft or sink. When a dark cloud forms in the sky, we don't know if it is going to rain, drizzle or downpour. All we can do is to keep looking at the sky and hoping for the dark cloud to move away and disperse. The sun will begin to emerge behind the cloud and shine its powerful sunray on the planet. And that's what the investors who have faith in Nokia are hoping for. I am long on NOK.

Zitat von myviews: sehr interessanter artilel

Mein Reden:
Windows 8, as a an operating system that crosses platforms, holds an incredible amount of promise, however, for Microsoft and Intel, and also for companies like Nokia as well. In a long-term portfolio, all three stocks have their places.
