"Previous developers of the project also indicated that the Kangankunde deposit would cater for 20% to 30% of the world’s supply of REO at its highest production levels."

Dann kommt Phase II eben nicht Ende 2012, sondern erst Mitte 2013, was solls? Andere Mitbewerber werden noch später starten.
Just my 2 cents...

Rare Earths: production squeeze, stock bubble
While there is little denying the need for more sources of rare earth metals, the current profusion of small stocks trying to get in on the action smells like a bubble

According to Lifton, "If a mine today, a small mine, does not have dysprosium, then you should not invest in it because it will never be able to compete with the Chinese, Lynus or Molycorp. Dysprosium is the key heavy rare earth which is critical for manufacturing rare earth permanent magnets that can operate at high temperatures such as under the hood of a car or in an air craft or space craft."
The quality/grades of the elements are a key issue,as they are in all minerals..gold,iron ore, copper, etc.
The below may serve as a good ready reckner as we associate what elements are used for what products..and will have an impact on contracts and price.
W=Mt Weld...D= Duncan..A=Arafura..M =Molycorp.
I re highlighted Liftons comments on Dysprosium as its noteworthy Molycorp has NIL.

http://www.hotcopper.com.au/post_single.asp?fid=1&tid=129804…
IMHO the biggest driver of the stock will be stage 1 and stage 2 sell out which will drive the stock price up and then there will be an analyst rerating once they digest the news at which time the stock price would have bolted.
As I have said before My jaw dropped when I heard Curtis state in the investor relations call that stage 1 all but sold out and stage 2 etc before end of year. He then expects to bring forward stage 2 development and probably a small capnraising of 200m. No one knows when this news will come out and if Curtis is to be believed it will be soon which will be BIG NEWS. I can't believe that most people are not blown away by this it will truly be company making news as it will give the company a base case with plenty of upside. You will not be able to buy thismstock under $2 if curtis achieves this complete sell out!
