I posted the following earlier this month based on the doubling of production, and what a possible takeover
Note I had doubled the production cost in the numbers ($123mil) to allow for ramp up cost; the article says $200mil to ramp up production, so my $123 mil is to high if the where to borrow the funds.
Minimum share price could easily reach $5, but even for the skeptic ultra conservative lets say $3.50 (40% discount).

Why LYC could be a takeover target.
The following assumes purchaser will ramp up production to 20,000T, cash cost has been doubled to $12.32kg ($123m extra to go toward production ramp up), and current basket price of $55.93. All in AU$. The company has a 10 year tax free holiday in Malaysia and during the first few years of production tax in AU will likely be offset by establishment costs depreciation etc. Its also assumed you all know about the paradigm shift in the rare earth market, LYC having the largest resource outside of China, together with its first to market advantage and lastly the possibility to increase production 30,000T or 40,000T. These points are what a suitor look at.
Minimum possible takeover Price $2 x 1721499093 (Fully diluted) = $3,442,998,186
Annual return based on current LYC basket price:
20,000T @ $43.61kg = $872,200,000 (25.33%)
EPS 50c x PE 10 = $5
Annual return based on basket price of $58.61 (+ $15 above current price):
20,000T @ $58.61 = $1,172,000,000 (34.04%)
EPS 68c x PE 10 = $6.80
