Dentsply Sirona Inc. issued 2023 financial guidance that indicated it expects sales trends to improve this year.
The Charlotte, N.C.-based company, which makes X-ray machines and dental drills, said it expects full-year organic sales to be between 1% lower than in 2022 and up to 2% higher. Analysts surveyed by FactSet were expecting net sales this year of $3.82 billion, or a year-over-year decline of about 2.5%.
The company said its outlook assumes foreign-currency translations will be a 100 basis point headwind to net sales this year.
In 2022, the company posted net sales of $3.92 billion, a drop of 7.3% from 2021.
For 2023, Dentsply Sirona expects adjusted earnings of $1.80 a share to $2.00 a share. Analysts surveyed by FactSet were expecting adjusted earnings of $1.84 a share.
