Ich sagte ja bereits: da sind auch einige Hedges short und die geben nicht so schnell auf. Mit kleinesten Stückzahlen wird der Kurs um 10 oder 20 cent gedrückt...weil die MM kooperieren, denn die haben selbst kaum noch Inventory.
Stochastik schaut gut aus und Umsatz ebenso. Wir werden wieder nach oben laufen, denn jetzt stehen Käufer an der Seitenlinie und warten auf "Tiefstand". Wenn die MM fertig sind mit dem Abfischen, werden sie panikartig aus dem Ask kaufen und die MM werden das nutzen, indem sie schnell und hart nach oben tickern. Das alte Spiel eben...

Ja, wie wir sehen haben die shorts noch nicht das handtuch geworfen. Die haben recht erfolgreich die 9 abgewehrt und tickern fleissig die 500er mit Unterstützung der Saubeutel ARCA, UBSS,SBSH und NITE, also den bekannten shortern.
Deren letzte Hoffnung ist ein Q-Ergebnis unter den Erwartungen. Und da formiert sich die ganze braune Brühe aus MM, shorts und Daytradern, um noch einmal Reibach zu machen, bevor der Stock zweistellig wird.

Back to reality. Wir haben Aufträge, Personal und Zukunft. 600 Mio in 2007 scheinen gesichert und das wir hier grad passiert ist eben Realität an der OTC.

The bombs, which the military calls improvised explosive devices, or IEDs, have killed or wounded thousands of troops and shredded conventional military vehicles. The new vehicles have a V-shaped hull, which disperses the force of an explosion and helps keep the vehicle from flipping over.

"It's just going to be the standard for any vehicle on the battlefield over the next 10 years," John Pike, a military analyst at GlobalSecurity.org in Alexandria, Va., said of the V-shaped hull.

Not only are lives at stake, but also millions — and potentially billions — of dollars.

The Pentagon's Joint IED Defeat Organization is spending nearly $3.5 billion this year to combat IEDs. Pentagon records show that since the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq began, 1,074 troops have been killed and 11,513 others wounded by insurgent bombs.

A major Pentagon supplier of V-shaped vehicles is 9-year-old Force Protection of Ladson, S.C. The Pentagon says the number of the company's Buffalo and Cougar V-shaped vehicles in Iraq is classified, but public records show the military has bought almost 300. That compares with more than 35,000 Humvees, the military's main multipurpose vehicle, in Iraq. The Buffalo vehicles cost $750,000 apiece, about five times the cost of an armored Humvee, which is smaller.

Force Protection says nobody inside a Buffalo has been killed in Iraq or Afghanistan despite encountering thousands of IED blasts.

Retired general Montgomery Meigs, head of the anti-IED organization, said the Buffalo's armor and shape make it "a lot more robust than the Humvee."

Foreign companies, many of them in South Africa, have been the leaders in developing the vehicles. Some of the Pentagon's largest contractors are marketing V-shaped vehicles with foreign partners. They include:

•AM General, the maker of the Humvee, is pitching to the Pentagon a V-shaped armored car called the Cobra. It is made by Otokar, a Turkish company, and uses a Humvee drivetrain.

•Oshkosh Truck, which makes many of the military's trucks, has partnered with ADI of Australia to market the Bushmaster armored vehicle.

•Blackwater, a private security firm that protects U.S. diplomats in Iraq, developed is own vehicle, the Grizzly, which it will send to Iraq soon.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, a South Carolina Republican and a member of the Armed Services Committee, pushed the Pentagon to buy the Buffalo and Cougar.

Graham said the Pentagon has acted quickly to deploy the vehicles, without the kind of delays seen in sending body armor and armored Humvees to Iraq.

"This is an example of where (the Pentagon) has gotten it right," Graham said. "They're doing it as fast as they can."

Schönen Sonntag noch und denkt Montag daran, dass es noch nicht vorbei ist. Die Shorts haben nicht kapituliert bislang. Ihr habt sicher gesehen, welchen Kampf es um die 8 gab. Die letzte Hoffnung der Shorts ist nun das Quartalsergebnis mit etwas schlechteren Zahlen als erwartet. Es gab Gerüchte, dass die Inspektoren des Verteidigungsministeriums, die die Fahrzeuge vor Auslieferung abnehmen, im letzten Quartal zu langsam waren und deshalb bereits fertig produzierte Fahrzeuge nicht offiziell abgenommen wurden, was das Ergebnis belasten könnte.

Auch wenn die Fahrzeuge noch nicht abgenommen sind, werden sie doch zum Umsatz des letzten Quartals gerechnet, oder?

Außerdem kann es mir egal sein, dann kommen diese Fahrzeuge eben in das nächste Quartal.

noch ein paar Details am Rande:

es ist so, dass die gelieferten Fahrzeuge erst dann von der öffentlichen Hand bezahlt werden, wenn die Inspektoren von Army/Marines etc. sie abgenommen haben.
Am Anfang erfolgte die Inspektion am Lieferort (Irak, Afghanistan..) d.h. verzögert.
Jetzt machen die Inspektoren das in Ladson, aber es scheint es gibt zu wenige Inspektoren und daher Verzögerungen bei der Abnahme.
Auch die Rechnungsstellung und somit die Umsatzverbuchung kann erst nach der Abnahme erfolgen.
Daher mache ich mir über das Q-Ergebnis keine Erwartungen, ausserdem dürfen Produktionszahlen nicht mehr in dem Umfang wie früher publiziert werden.

Jeff Landis, a Marine Corps Systems Command spokesman.

On Nov. 9, the Marine Corps issued a sole-source contract for up to 282 humvee replacement vehicles to Force Protection Industries of Ladson, SC.

Simultaneously, the service released an open request for proposals for many more vehicles. These initiatives were approved Nov. 6 in a meeting between Etter and the head of Marine Corps Systems Command, Brig. Gen. Michael Brogan, Landis said.

The Marine Corps has fiscal year 2007 supplemental funding to buy 805 new Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) tactical ground vehicles, Landis said. The service has a total of 69 MRAP vehicles in Iraq, he said. Funding for 38 of the vehicles came from the Joint IED Defeat Organization, which leads the Pentagon’s counter IED efforts, he added.

The Marine Corps divides these interim vehicles into three categories. Category one is for urban combat operations; category two is a multimission platform for convoy escort, troop transport and combat engineers; and category three is a larger vehicle for mine and improvised explosives clearance operations. ich würde das mal so interpretieren, das frpt mit einem fuß in der tür für die neu besetzung des humvee steht.

war noch nicht draussen, oder?

Die Chancen auf ein Stück vom MUMV-Kuchen stehen gut.
Aber mit welchem Partner sie in die Ausschreibung gehen, das wissen zumindest wir noch nicht.

an deinem Vergleich sieht man, dass du fundamental etwas nicht verstanden hast.

Es geht langfristig um den Ersatz von über 100.000 Fahrzeugen und da kannst du Gift darauf nehmen, dass in der Ausschreibung ganz klare Definitionen zu Treibstoff und Verbrauch stehen.

bezüglich des verbrauchs:

das dürfte eigentlich kein problem darstellen, da schutz in dem sinne wir IED sichere Fahrzeuge ihn benötigen nunmal eine schwere panzerung und damit gewicht mit sich bringt. Da ist klar das ein humvee, der nur die hälfte wie ein cheetah wiegt auch nur ca. den halben verbrauch hat. Aber ist dafür ist der humvee aber eben auch nicht IED sicher! Das Mehrgewicht können auch eventuelle andere hersteller nicht wegzaubern - bei IED scheint auch Kevlar nicht zu helfen.


Der Mehrverbrauch aufgrund des hohen gewichts der force-fahrzeuge kann aber teilweise durch motorentechnik wieder ausgeglichen werden.
Die Motoren sind eh zukaufteile, irgenwo stand auch mal von wem. Da muss man dann noch mal ein paar taler oben rauf legen und sich dieselmotoren mit aktuellster, effizenter und robuster technik kaufen, also praktisch dieseldirekteinspritzung in der robusten ausführung.

- haben etwas weniger unterm strich wegen 2 neuer Produktionslinien um zukünftig grossaufträge auch bedienen zu können

- bisher ist in einem frpt wagen noch kein einziger soldat weder im irak noch in afghanistan zu tode gekommen !!!!!!

Tja, schwer zu sagen.
Der Vergleich mit dem Vorjahr zeigt signifikante Verbesserungen. Ich kann aber nicht sagen, ob die nun über oder unter den berühmten Erwartungen liegen.

Der Handelsverlauf - in dem ich irgendwann meinen halben Bestand veräußert habe, weil es mir zu sehr an die Nieren ging - war mir rätselhaft. Würde mich nicht wundern, wenn das alles eine riesige Manipulation war, um billig an shares zu kommen. ich kann mir das nur bei den gewaltigen Dimensionen immer nicht vorstellen...!

ich denke, meine verbliebene Hälfte wird noch eine Weile in meinem Depot verweilen...- und wachsen.

Etwas weniger als erwartet und das haben die shorts heute versucht zu nutzen, um eine Panik auszulösen. Die haben weiter geshortet und zwar kräftig. Gut, der Kurs kam 6% runter aber es hat kein Volumen gegeben. Für mich ist die Story 100% perfekt!!!

Das kommende Quartal wird GEWALTIG werden!

Ich werde morgen früh alle (und ich meine ALLE) meine anderen Investments verkaufen und ab 15:30 kaufen, wobei es mir egal ist, ob es rauf oder runter geht. Wir werden im januar bei 16-18 Dollar stehen, wenn das Nasdaq Listing noch dazwischen kommt, sind alle Wetten ungültig.

Dies eFirma ist eine Chance, wie ich sie noch nicht hatte. kein Zock auf tage, Wochen oder Monate sondern ein stabiles Investment auf minimum 2-3 Jahre für mich. Wenn es eines Tages die Humvee-Ersatz-News gibt und der Cheetah genannt wird (und alles deutet darauf hin), ist es vorbei mit dem Arbeitsleben. Ich brauche einen Kurs von 25 Dollar und dann ist Ende mit Stress...dann wird ab und zu gebrokert und ansonsten ein ruhiges Leben gelebt.

Die 4 Buffalos, die fertig sind aber nicht abgerechnet wurden, können wir uns schon mal ins kommende Quartal schreiben. 3 produktionslinien bedeutet 100-120 fahrzeuge im Monat, Wahnsinn!

A simple value analysis using a price to sales ratio of 2 and assuming the company hits the $400 million revenue mark values FRPT shares at approximately $16.00. I think $400 Million is conservative. AH is basically trading today at a 2 price to sales multiple on 2007 forecasted revenues and does not have the revenue growth rate FRPT is experiencing. I could probably argue a higher multiple considering the rapid growth of this company but this industry is fairly conservative. It may trade lower at tomorrow's opening, but this was widely known so there was a lot of selling along the way of people not wanting to be in just in case earnings missed badly. But stocks eventually trade to their value, and right now this stock is under-valued based on future earnings. Any major dips tomorrow and you can count me in as a buyer. One other positive we can all look forward to for some time to come is the tax loss carry forwards: This was from today's 10Q:

Spartan on their conference call indicated that they are currently building more than 5 Chassis per day -- and I interpret this to mean 5 per regular work day or over 25 per week, 100 per month. The new lines at Force Protection and the old one that was changed to put the efficiency changes in place are capable of making approximately 25 per month with out additional shifts. Therefore, Force Protection is capable of manufacturing approximately 75 Cougars per month. As they continue to ramp up, they could add additional shifts and get to 150 Per Month on existing lines or build other lines. Spartan is at 35% capacity and can therefore produce almost 300 per month.

It’s has been a strong year, it has been a great year, however I do believe the best is yet to come.

We continue to gain revenue and profits from our sub-contract work for both Force Protection’s Cougars and BAE’s ILAV in the third quarter.

In the specialty vehicles / chassis perspective sales were up 259% in the third quarter of this year versus last year.

In addition BAE recently announced a small add on order of 20 units relative to the ILAV product and what is exciting about that is add-ons don’t happen unless you are doing a very good job.

And as we look at the current ILAV contract, as mentioned in our earlier releases, the current contract is for 378 units, we have now had an add-on for 20. The total opportunity is 1050 and again, I wish to compliment all the associates both at Force Protection and at BAE and Spartan and all those sub contractors to move the ball in the right direction.

When I look at where we were on May 31st, building zero ILAV from a support subcontract perspective and where we are today, building at a rate greater than 5 a day, it is absolutely amazing and other people have noticed it both within the military and within Congress.

I am also pleased you know again I would like to compliment Rick Schalter of Spartan Chassis for the ramp-up of the production on the Cougar and the ILAV. What is also so exciting is we have tremendous room for growth in the Military slash specialty vehicles chassis end of the market place.

Today, we are operating at a 35 percent capacity on a single shift so we are not capacity constrained in this area. The other thing that I wish to just share with all of you is as of today, there has not been even a single fatality in a Cougar or Buffalo of ILAV product. This is something absolutely fantastic. The product is flat out performing."

As we look at 2007, we really see nothing from the end user, the military indicating that there procurement cycle of mine blast protected vehicles is going to slow down. If anything, what we see is questions how fast can you accelerate, how fast can you ramp-up. I think all of us if we look at the news etc. perceive that what is going on overseas is not moving in the direction that everybody anticipated. So as we hear the voice of the consumer, the questions which they are asking us is not what happens you know if we slow things down, you know, all the questions are what’s your capacity, what is the up-line opportunity, or the strategic supply chain management issues for you to accelerate production. And the interesting thing is the marines have received products on the Cougar, the Army is coordinating the ILAV projects with BAE and Force Protection, however, those units will be going to the Iraqi Army. What’s interesting is that if you look at our own forces in Iraq, very few are scheduled right now to be getting mine blast protected vehicles.”

Ja ist schon richtig mit der größeren Stückzahl. Aber man kann sich ja vorstellen, das die Kursschwankungen in $ von 9,14 vorgestern auf heute schon Einige zehntausend Dollar ausmachen können. Man bekommt bei größerer Stückzahl schneller Bauschmerzen bei dem auf und ab. Man fragt sich oft, hätte ich gestern oder vorgestern verkauft, hätte ich schon wieder zig tausend mehr Stücke. Aber wie gesagt hätte, wenn ,aber. Man läuft auch Gefahr bei Verkauf zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt nicht wieder günstiger reinzukommen.

Ja, jetzt sind es rund 80k long.
Wenn man bedenkt, dass ich zwischen Dezember und Anfang Februar rund 50k für kleines Geld kaufte (Schnitt 1,20 Dollar), dann hat sich das bis jetzt gelont. Noch ein paar Monate und die Gewinne sind sogar steuerfrei.

Looking to the Future Through the Windshield, Not the Rearview Mirror!

FRPT announced their third quarter operating results late on the afternoon of November 14th. Everyone knows the bad

news (At this time of night, that phrase makes me think I might be sounding too much like the radio personality, Paul

Harvey, for comfort.), ten vehicles were not inspected in time to be accepted by the US Government. Therefore, the

revenue recognition approach that the Company uses did not allow for those associated revenues to be included in the

quarter’s results. Hence, FRPT reported $42.16 million of total revenues for the period.

On the other hand, even with the lower level of quarter revenues, the Company’s operating results—particularly gross

margin and bottom line figures—were impressive. FRPT reported a $0.01 in profit. Remember, this was on the basis of a

much lower revenue number and the significant costs of starting a second Cougar manufacturing line and other quantum

increases in the production process.

I think that it is important to note that if the 10 vehicles did get inspected, that would have added another $6.5 million to

$8 million in incremental revenue. A back-of-the envelope calculation suggests that the firm should have made an

additional 2¢. Or, produced an operating profit figure that would have equaled what FRPT delivered in the second quarter.

We now just have something to look forward to in the final quarter of the year.

It is very significant that the quarter’s operating costs--particularly the G&A costs—were as restrained as they were.

Think about what is happening. The company ought to be 4-times the size is was in 2005, yet operating costs while

adding manufacturing and fabrication lines are nearly stable. It portends very well for 2007.

As to our model, we have updated the fourth quarter to better reflect the improved flow of business and strong operating

margins: we are now using $0.10 for Q4. For next year, we have boosted out revenue number to reflect the start-up and

operation of three Cougar lines, a ramp in production for Buffalos, and the beginning of “seeding” models of the Cheetah.

Given that combination of product increases, we are now using $598 million in sales.

Also based on the production ramp, we are modestly adjusting upward our estimated margins while continuing to restrain

G&A in our model for next year. I know I’m going to be aggressive, but never have I witnessed in my 30 professional

years in the market an operation that added production capacity and increased revenues like I have witnessed with FRPT.

More spectacularly, this has been done with incredible Op Ex restraint. On that basis, we are now using $0.90 in fullytaxed
EPS for 2007. Valuation for the shares can be approached from two perspectives: essentially 15-times $1.00, or using a
higher multiple given the service and repair component of the trucks and the technology, on a lower risk-adjusted earnings

figure. The target today is the mid –teens.

wenn du gesehen hättest, mit welchen päckchen wir die letzten zwei minuten runtergetickert wurden, würdest du dem wenig beachtung schenken. zum ende des handelstages ist das am einfachsten, um die investoren zu verunsichern. meiner meinung nach haben wir morgen super chancen, signifikant über 9 zu schließen. bei ca. 9,45 ist nochmal ein widerstand aus dem letzten ath. wenn wir durch sind - und das unter hohem volumen - rückt die 12 wohl in greifbare nähe.

Mit FRPT scheinst du ja wirklich die aktie deines lebens gefunden zu haben wenn du da mit 80 k drin bist dann dauert es bei dir wirklich nicht mehr lange mit dem ruhe stand.

Ich glaube es ist gerade mal ein recht guter zeitpunkt dir für deine arbeit hier im board zu danken.

Ich bin zu 3,90 € rein und bin dank deiner recherche auch drin geblieben und hab nicht verkauft trotz mittlerweile 100 % gewinn.

Force Protection, Inc., Growing Fast (New Nov 16 update)

In July 2006, FPI announced a major production ramp up, “… Our customers in uniform recognize the unmatched protection our vehicles provide and continue to order them at an unprecedented rate," said CEO Gordon McGilton. “As a result, Force Protection is engaged in efforts to triple its internal manufacturing capacity,…”. Force Protection currently has over 600 employees and is according to Mike Aldrich of FPI hiring 25 to 40 people a week.

The large increase in production was not without its challenges. In 2004, the company was building the vehicle in bays on a one by one basis. More vehicles were needed than could be built on a one by one basis. Therefore in 2005, FPI began building a regular production line for Cougars. In early 2006, FPI had completed staffing the new line and by April 2006 they had reached target production of 20 Cougars per month. In July, 2006 FPI began the process of once more tripling internal production. The production ramp up was intended to increase production from approximately 20 Cougars and 3 Buffalo per month to approximately 50 to 60 Cougars and as many as 8 to 10 Buffalos per month.

Due to the rapid increase in demand for Force Protection vehicles, even this rapid ramp-up is not enough. Due to strong demand for Force Protection vehicles, Force Protection teamed with General Dynamics Land Systems to build the Cougar medium mine-protected vehicle – See the following link:

FPI’s order backlog has been growing. Last June BAE and FPI won a bid on a contract to build 378 Cougars for the Iraqi Army and police. The contract may be extended to 1050 vehicles. FPI retains all rights to the Cougar design and BAE will pay FPI a license fee for each vehicle built. In August, FPI won a $63 million contract from the British to build 85 Cougars – to be renamed the Mastiff. In November, Force Protection won a $214 million contract to build 200 Cougar and 80 Buffalo and are currently bidding on contracts for over 4000 additional vehicles. These additional vehicles and perhaps 10s of thousands more over the next few years is why Force Protection has teamed with General Dynamics.

Revenue is growing in line with production and the number of deployed vehicles; in 2004, revenue was $10.3 million, in 2005, revenue was $49.7 million, in 2006, revenue should exceed $210 million and in 2007, contract backlog is already approaching $500 million. As the number of deployed vehicles increases, so does the reoccurring revenue for continued support, maintenance and repair. In 2008, the support, maintenance and repair revenue should be much higher than FPI’s 2005 yearly revenue.

FPI currently produces two major types of vehicles – the Buffalo and Cougar. The Buffalo was designed for use by Military Engineers as a mine clearing vehicle to keep roads and transportation routes clear of mines and IEDs. The Buffalo has no direct competition and was made an official part of the “IED Defeat Task Force.” The Cougar has several variations and may be used for a large number of possible missions. It can be used to transport military engineers, as a patrol vehicle, as a troop transport or for command and control.

A third vehicle called the Cheetah has been developed to provide a smaller mine protected vehicle to replace Humvees or the Snatch type vehicles. The Humvee and Snatch are either unarmored or use up-armor kits to provide a limited amount of ballistic and blast protection. The up armor kits are not effective against most mines and IEDs. The Cheetah was designed from the ground up to survive small arms fire, mine and IED blasts.

FPI’s vehicles are easy to repair, economical and practical because wherever possible they rely on commercially available parts and sub-assemblies. The Buffalo chassis is the same one as used in many Mack trucks. For the Cougar vehicles, the Chassis are provided by Spartan Chassis Inc. The drive train, transmissions and motors are provided by manufacturers such as Caterpillar, Mack, Allison, Fabco and Marmon-Herrington. High reliability is ensured by using proven highly reliable parts and sub-assemblies. It ensures the vehicles are economical because FPI is purchasing products already produced in volume. In short, FPI is able to build a highly reliable vehicle by using the best technology from many different vendors and integrating them together. Part of FPI’s genius has been their ability to rapidly adapt, design, prototype and manufacture the best in class vehicle faster than their larger competitors.

FPI initially acquired much of the “mine and blast protection” design used in the Buffalo and Cougar from South Africa. A long insurgency was fought by the South African against insurgents and terrorists whose weapons of choice were mines and IEDs. Due to both import and budget restrictions, South Africa could not import armored vehicles. Therefore, for over 40 years, the South Africans developed an armor technology that was very sophisticated but inexpensive enough to be affordable for large scale deployment. The armor allowed South Africa to defeat the insurgency by rendering the insurgent’s main weapon -- mines and IEDs ineffective. FPI was granted the exclusive design rights to some of South Africa’s latest technology in return for a per vehicle royalty.

FPI’s chief scientist is Dr. Vernon Joynt. Dr. Joynt is a pioneer in the field of ballistic and mine protected vehicle design and worked on many of the South African designs. He has over 30 years experience in developing armored vehicles. One of his early accomplishments was the design of the first “wedge shaped” mine protected vehicle for the South African government. Dr. Joynt is leading the effort to both develop and acquire new technology that will improve the blast and ballistic protection on new vehicles. The Cheetah uses new technology developed exclusively by FPI to make it as light as possible while still providing a large measure of blast and ballistic protection. FPI recently acquired the manufacturing and development rights to a new “Blast Manipulation Technology” that may be used on wheeled and tracked vehicles. The new technology substantially reduces the blast effect on vehicles.

Buffalos and Cougars have a history of survivability in “real world” situations. They have already survived thousands of IED and mine attacks without any reported deaths. No other comparable vehicle has demonstrated that amount of survivability.

The military is likely to continue to acquire new mine protected vehicles. In Iraq, most casualties are caused by IEDs and mines. Mines have not only caused most of the casualties but have significantly degraded the effectiveness of soldiers who must carefully inspect every area they wish to operate in for mines. Roads must be continually patrolled and inspected to ensure that no new IEDs or mines have been planted. Therefore, mines and the threat of mines have been one of the largest problems faced by US forces and also the deadliest threat to soldiers. The solution to this problem is to acquire more mine protected vehicles from manufacturers such as FPI and it appears that the military has begun the process of doing just that.

na, so einfach wird das nicht sein.

Es gibt mit Sicherheit Druck vom Verteidigungsministerium, dass so schnell wie möglich die Produktion weiter erhöht wird und GD hat wohl freie Kapazitäten.
Damit rücken für mich AH und BAE aus dem Fokus für zukünftige Kooperationen oder buyouts.

Es bleibt weiter spannend

subcontractor weil sie eben freie Fertigungskapazitäten haben.
Eine Zusammenarbeit bei der FPI subcontractor war hat es im Vorfeld ja schon gegeben und meiner Einschätzung nach wird sich daraus mehr entwickeln.
Wir haben immer gesagt für die Lieferung des HUMV-Nachfolgers ist FPI zu klein, von der Produktion und von der Lobby her.
Damit kommen wir wieder zu der alten Theorie der Übernahme.
Auf jeden Fall war ich mir noch mit keiner Aktie von Anfang an so sicher, dass alles stimmt.

was mich etwas wundert ist, dass überhaupt keine Rede mehr von der Einstellung eines weiteren unabhängigen Direktors und einem Segmentwechsel die Rede ist. Auch nicht in dem Catalyst-Update.

Das könnte u.U. bedeuten, dass man den Wechsel wegen einer Übernahme gar nicht mehr braucht. Dem Managment würde ein Wechsel zu GD sicher schmecken und FK und McG hätten garantiert auch alle Schäfchen im Trockenen.
Ob es den shareholdern schmecken würde, ist eine andere Sache.

Dem Managment würde ein Wechsel zu GD sicher schmecken

ich denke, dafür ist es noch viel zu früh. der aufbau einer kleinen firma zu einer großen bringt sehr viel reputation
und eine ganz andere gehaltsklasse.
ein segmentwechsel liegt m.e. in der luft und dann steht der kurs bei 20$. bei weiteren news darüber.
sollte dann den aktionären ein angebot gemacht werden, würde dies wiederum einen satten aufschlag auf den kurs geben.

unbenommen liegst du damit auf lange sicht richtig.

nur...
es geht nicht immer darum, welche werte einem wichtig sind beim covering einer firma.
wie auch du sehen musst, gibt es andere usarien, den wert von firmen zu beurteilen bzw. zu "erklären".
den inneren wert einer firma bewerten kenner meist gleich.
das erreichen temporärer kursziele ist der unterschied, bzw. das kommunizieren dieser( ich lese etwas von 40 $)

im übrigen ist für eine diskussion über reale zahlen ( ergebnisse ) noch genügend zeit.

Wenn es wirklich einen Bieterkrieg geben sollte (Kandidaten wären GD, AH und BAE) dann wirst Du noch mehr als glücklich sein. Sobal es konkrete Gerüchte gibt -erinnere Dich an das AH Statement vor einigen Tagen- brennt der Baum erneut. Ein Premium von locker 6-8 USD ist dann drin. Da wir bis dahin bei 12 stehen sollten, wenn nicht mehr, käme ein Übernahmeangebot so bei ca. 20 Dollar in Betracht. Damit könnte ich leben. Und ich meine Leben.

ich habe auch noch ein Depot bei der Kreissparkasse. Ich hatte mal Teile in D gekauft und einige in USA, die standen dann getrennt im Depot. Das war noch zu Zeiten als die Online Broker erst im kommen waren und war sauteuer.
Auf meine Anfrage hin wurde mir gesagt ich könne eine Zusammenlegung beantragen, das habe ich aber nicht gemacht und irgendwann waren sie trotzdem zusammen, und hat nix gekostet. Wie es bei denen mit dem Verkauf ist weiß ich nicht, aber bei Consors geht das problemos.

Changes in Registrant's Certfying Accountant



ITEM 4.01 CHANGES IN REGISTRANT'S CERTIFYING ACCOUNTANT.
The Audit Committee of the Board of Directors of Force Protection, Inc. (the "Company") has approved a change in auditors. At a meeting of the Audit Committee held on November 10, 2006, the Audit Committee approved the engagement of Elliott Davis, LLC to serve as the Company's independent registered accounting firm for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2007. In addition, the Audit Committee dismissed Jaspers + Hall, P.C. as the independent registered accounting firm of the Company effective upon completion of the audit of the Company's consolidated financial statements as of and for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2006.

During the years ended December 31, 2005 and 2004, and through November 16, 2006, the Company did not consult Elliott Davis, LLC regarding the application of accounting principles to a specified transaction, either completed or proposed, the type of audit opinion that might be rendered on the Company's financial statements or any matter that was either the subject of a disagreement (as defined in Item 304(a)(1)(iv) and the related instructions to Item 304 of Regulation S-K) or a reportable event (as defined in Item 304(a)(1)(v) of Regulation S-K).

The reports of Jaspers + Hall, P.C. on the Company's consolidated financial statements for the years ended December 31, 2005 and 2004 did not contain an adverse opinion or a disclaimer of opinion and were not qualified or modified as to uncertainty, audit scope or accounting principle.

During the years ended December 31, 2005 and 2004, and through November 16, 2006, there were no disagreements with Jaspers + Hall, P.C. on any matter of accounting principles or practices, financial statement disclosure or auditing scope or procedure, which disagreements, if not resolved to the satisfaction of Jaspers + Hall, P.C., would have caused Jaspers + Hall, P.C. to make reference thereto in its reports on the Company's consolidated financial statements for such years. During the years ended December 31, 2005 and 2004, and through November 16, 2006, there were no reportable events (as defined in Item 304(a)(1)(v) of Regulation S-K) with respect to the Company.

The Company requested Jaspers + Hall, P.C. to furnish a letter addressed to the Securities and Exchange Commission stating whether or not it agrees with the above statements. A copy of such letter is filed as Exhibit 16.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.

Hier mal ein kleiner forecast wie die entwickung von force so weitergehen könte:

Aus den Q2 und Q3 Zahlen von 2006 konnte ich entnehmen das Force mittlerweile eine Marge von gut 20 % erwirtschaftet.

Obwohl sie in den letzten 6 Monaten stark investieren mussten um die Produktion zu erhöhen, haben sie es immer noch geschaft insgesamt Gewinn zu erwirtschaften.

Bei einem prognostizierten Umsatz in 2007 von 500 - 600 Mio $ und einer übertragenen Marge von 20 % würde dies dann einen Profit von über 100 Mio $ bedeuten. Wenn man davon dann noch die Kosten für Selling General and Administrative mit durchschnittlichen Kosten von 6 Mio $ pro Quartal abzieht würde man immer noch einen Jahresnettogewinn von 75 Mio $ in 2007 erwirtschaften.
Selbst wenn man jetzt noch etwaige Zusatzkosten und Steuern berücksichtigt, würde man mindestens 65 mio $ in 2007 Nettogewinn machen.

Dazu genommen die Fantasie mit dem Segmentwechsel, dem Großauftrag über 4000 Fahrzeuge, der Übernahmegerüchte und dem Cheetah könnte man ein KGV von 15 als passend betrachten.

Gerechtfertigt wäre dann also in 2007 eine MK von ca. 1 Mrd. $, was bei 50 mio ausstehender Aktien dann einen Kurs von 20 $ ergeben würde.

Dies ist die Konservative Rechnung, wenn dazu aber News über Segmentwechsel, Großauftrag 4000 Fzg. (geschätztes Volumen 1,5 - 2 Mrd. $) oder Cheetah ersetzt Humvee kommen dann halte ich einen Kurs von 30 - 40 $ in 2007 für nicht unwahrscheinlich.

Wenn man dann noch bedenkt das die Börse gerne zu Übertreibungen neigt, sind 20$ für 2007 eher konservativ. Da gebe ich dir vollkommen recht.

Der "Buffalo" von Force Protection

Nach einem äußerst volatilen Kursverlauf in den vergangenen Jahren mit zum Teil deutlichen Kurgewinnen und -verlusten kann die Aktie des amerikanischen Unternehmens Force Protection wieder seit Monaten massive steigende Kurse verbuchen.


Nach einem Zwischentief bei gerade einmal 69 Cents im Januar des laufenden Jahres konnte die Aktie einen mittelfristigen Aufwärtstrend etablieren und inzwischen knapp 1.400 Prozent auf zuletzt 10,26 Dollar zulegen. Alleine in den vergangenen beiden Handelstagen ging es um rund 25 Prozent nach oben.


Bisher volatile operative Ergebniszahlen ...



Der "Cougar" von Force Protection
Diese Entwicklung dürfte angesichts der operativen Historie des Unternehmens zunächst etwas verwundern. Denn in den vergangenen Monaten konnte es zwar den Umsatz im Trend deutlich steigern, die Gewinnentwicklung dagegen war dabei alles andere als überzeugend. Das Unternehmen hatte bisher offensichtlich Mühe, die Gewinnschwelle zu erreichen und zu halten.


So ließ es sich lange Zeit fragen, wieso der Kurs der Aktie so deutlich nach oben lief. Das Kurs-Gewinnverhältnis auf Basis von zwei Gewinnschätzungen für das laufende Jahr liegt bei 89 und ist damit optisch zunächst ebenfalls alles andere als attraktiv. Allerdings prognostizieren dieselben Analysten für das kommende Geschäftsjahr einen deutlichen Gewinnanstieg von elf auf 53 bis 58 Cents. Das würde zu einem Kurs-Gewinnverhältnis von 18,5 führen.



Minenräumgerät von Force Protection
Was der Markt geahnt und die Analysten offensichtlich gewußt haben, wurde am Donnerstag bekannt: Der Rüstungsriese General Dynamics gab bekannt, dem kleinen Unternehmen bei der Produktion von Mannschaftstransportern und Minensuchfahrzeugen zu helfen. Force Protection entwickelt und stellt solche gepanzerten Fahrzeuge her und lieferte bisher mehr als 300 Einheiten in den Irak und nach Afghanistan, die sich dort zu bewähren scheinen. Bisher habe es keine fatalen „Versager“ gegeben, heißt es.

Am zehnten November konnte Force Protection einen Auftrag im Wert von 214 Millionen Dollar zur Produktion solcher Fahrzeuge akquirieren. Scheint das Unternehmen bisher nicht in der Lage gewesen zu sein, der Nachfrage rasch genug nachkommen zu können, so dürfte sich zumindest dieses Problem mit der Vereinbarung mit General Dynamics zum Teil gelöst werden können. Weitere Partnerschaften würden angestrebt, heißt es von Seiten des Unternehmens. Es ist allein in den vergangenen drei Jahren von zwölf Beschäftigten auf zuletzt 655 Beschäftigte gewachsen.




Insgesamt hat die Aktie sicherlich noch etwas spekulativen Charakter. Allerdings sind die Wachstumsaussichten angesichts der anhaltenden Unruhen weltweit zumindest kurz- und mittelfristig vorhanden und dürften das Unternehmen weiter wachsen lassen können.

offene worte, die ich auch bei BIPH und bei PTSC schrieb:

keine Aktie erklimmt ohne Täler zu durchqueren den berg. und deshalb möchte ich auch alle bitten mentale stopps/gewinnmitnahmen zu setzen.

ich bin bei BIPH sehr früh gegangen, da war bei 2,70 oder so die grenze erreicht. bei ptsc, die ich erstmals für rund 6 cent kaufte, bin ich ebenfalls bei .92 gegangen.

es geht nie darum, die absoluten höhen abzufischen oder unter die tiefsten täler zu durchschreiten (wie die biphler grad´). es geht darum, gier zu vermeiden und sich bewusst zu machen, dass die bank max 4% per anno bringt und der durchschnittstrader zu beginn seiner karriere im durchschnitt innerhalb der ersten 6 monate 70% seines kapitals über pump und dump schemata verliert.

ich habe meine gewinne dadurch gemacht, dass ich bei signifikanten kurssteigerungen stets 10% verkaufte. wenn es nachhaltige news gab, habe ich mein cash zum nachkaufen genutzt und so eine feste position und eine tradingposition aufgebaut. die halteposition mit dem ziel keine steuern zu zahlen und die tradingposition, um verluste zu vermeiden (also nachkaufen können im gleichen stock oder in andere investieren).

denkt bitte darüber nach, wann es vernünftig wäre teilgewinne mitzunehmen. wenn es weiter nach oben geht, ärgert euch nicht sondern denkt daran, dass jeden tag eine miese news kommen kann, sei es bezogen auf die aktie oder auf das weltgeschehen. ihr macht kein minus, das ist das wichtige. ich beantworte derzeit mindestens 10 anfragen jeden tag von leuten, die tief in den roten zahlen stehen. da machen banken druck, die ehefrau und es brechen zukunftsperspektiven auseinander, weil gier oder unvernunft (die ersten verluste zu akzeptieren fällt am leichtesten bevor man zum schlachtlamm wird und einen stock ganz nach unten reitet) die oberhand gewinnen.

also, wer nicht mit spielgeld, egal wieviel es ist, unterwegs ist, der sollte sich auch bei 20,30 oder 100% mal fragen, ob er nicht ein stück vom teller nimmt und davon den zehnten teil spendet. dfas ist gut für die empfänger und das seelenheil.

das ist keine verkaufsaufforderung aber ich werde irgendwann auch meine ersten gewinne mitnehmen und kann mit rund 800% gewinn auch mal täler durchschreiten, wenn die perspektive für mich noch ok ist.

ich sehe nach wie vor potential bis locker 15, 18 oder 20 dollar, nur damit das klar ist. aber keine sau kann das garantieren. das war das wort zum samstag und ich wünsche euch allen vieol geld und guten umgang damit.

hatte gestern ein interessantes Gespräch mit einen von mir sehr geschätzten Investor, der jahrelange Erfahrung mit kleineren Unternehmen die an der OTC bzw. die es geschaft haben in ein anderes Börsensegment zu gelangen. Es war ein sehr aufschlußreiches Gespräch.

Ich will hiernochmals die wichtigsten Fakten euch wiedergeben, wie es eventuell bei FRPT kommen könnte.

Er vermutet, falls das NAZ - Listing schnell durchlaufen sollte, das es vielleicht nochmals einen Anstieg auf 15-18 Dollar geben könnte. Das NAZ Listing hätte den Vorteil das die Aktien marginable wären, was bedeuten würde, das der vorhandene Aktienbestand der Anleger beliehen werden kann. Die können also auf eigenes Risiko bis zu 80 % des Depotwertes auf Leihbasis für weitere Käufe einsetzten.

Außerdem werden sich mit dem NAZ Listing diverese Fonds einkaufen, einige müssen sogar lt. Börsenbestimmungen. Das wird bei der knappen Anzahl der verfügbren Aktien sicher in 2007 eventuell zu einem forward Splitt führen, um die Liquidität im Markt zu sichern. Er schätzt mal auf einen 3 zu 1 Splitt, was dann rund 160 Millionen Aktien im Markt bedeuten würde und eine Verdreifachung der Aktien führen würde. Also keine Dilution sondern nur mehr Aktien , damit der Handel lliquide bleibt. Forwards Splitts haben die Angewohnheit, das der alte Kurs schnell wieder erreicht wird.

Ich finde es ist durchaus ein denkbares Szenario das hier geschildert wird. Es kann jetzt jeder sich seine Gedanken machen, was die nächste Zeit vielleicht noch alles auf uns zukommen wird.

Ich bleibe jedenfalls noch Investiert so lange es keine negativen Einflüsse geben wird. Nur werde ich meinen Einsatz bei einer sich günstigen Gelegenheit rausnehmen und den Rest long stellen

Ich wünsche auf alle Fälle jeden ein glückliches Händchen bei seiner Entscheidung.
