ich war in diese lahme Ente auch einmal investiert.

Als ich dann aber las daß die Geschäftsführung garnicht an einem explodierenden Kurs interesiert ist (wie bei Sina, Netease) war bei mir schluss mit lustig

Hallo Wuscher,

ich halte auch Tom Group. Seit über einem Jahr. Bin zu ca. 0,145 rein und damit im Plus. Ich sehe wie du eine große Chanche in der Aktie auch wenn Sie mir manchmal den Nerv raubt. Leider kriege ich momentan auch nicht mehr viel mit von der Aktie. Die Emfiser haben zum x-ten Mal ihr Konzept über den Haufen geworfen und machen nun wieder alles anders. Leider ist damit das Tiger- Depot scheinbar völlig verschwunden. Dort war die Tom Group drinnen. Ich halte die Aktie jedenfalls weiter. Die letzte Zusammenfassung von Emfis zum Gewinn der Tom Group sah nicht schlecht aus. Igendwann zeigt sich das in den Kursen.
Kopf hoch Wuscher, du bist nicht allein. Vielleicht solltest du neben Tom Group für die Rente auch mal nach Gold und Silber schauen. Hat sich bei mir bisher sehr gelohnt.

Nun geht aber das Gerücht um das Tom Group
die Vermarktungsrechte an den Olympischen Spielen
besizt.
Das bringt doch gedanklich einige Fantasie ins Spiel.
Zum anderen scheint es so das Tom Group seine
Einkaufstour beendet hat und in sich wächst.
Tom Group hat meiner Meinung nach dfie Tochter Tom Online
erfolreich an die Börse gebrachtund macht richt gute Gewinne damit.
Tom Group besizt einen eigen Fehrnse Sender
Und ist auch sonst sehr gut aufgestellt.

Sing Wang, chief executive of Tom Group, a media company controlled by tycoon Li Ka-shing, abruptly resigned and was replaced by chief financial officer Tommei Tong, following media reports questioning the amount of time he was spending on personal investments while remaining at the helm of the publicly traded company.

In a hastily called press conference, Tong insisted that the company "has always been aware of Wang`s personal business interests, which are not in conflict with our business."

He "is resigning from Tom Group in order to devote more time to his private investments," she said. Wang, who had been chief executive since 2000, did not attend the briefing.

Wang`s outside investments came into the spotlight last week when he agreed to sell 25 percent of his investment company, Amerinvest Coal Industry Holding, to Hong Kong-listed Willie International for HK$66.25 million in stock, making him Willie International`s second-largest shareholder with a 7.6 percent stake.

Tong said the group will "promote someone from within" to fill the vacant chief financial officer`s position.

Analysts said the management shake-up is unlikely to have much impact on Tom Group`s share price. "[It] already trades at a discount to the value of its assets, [so] the impact from the change of CEO won`t be too significant," said Macquarie Securities analyst Ramiz Chelat. The announcement came after the market close Wednesday. In earlier trading, Tom Group shares were unchanged.

Despite a 79 percent surge in the past year in the shares of Tom Online, Tom Group`s 71.8 percent-owned subsidiary, the parent`s stock price has gained only 19 percent in the same period.

"Tom Group`s market capitalization reflects only the market value of its stake in Tom Online, and on that basis little value is attached to its remaining assets," Chelat said.

Tom Online contributed about HK$605 million to Tom Group`s turnover of HK$1.41 billion in the first half of last year. The remainder came from the group`s publishing businesses in Taiwan and the mainland, its outdoor advertising arm, a sports business, and China Entertainment Television, a Guangdong-based TV station in which it owns a 65 percent stake.

"It is difficult at the moment for Tom Group to generate cross media advertising and synergies from the different lines of businesses it currently owns," Chelat said. "It is a quite disparate group of assets."

Tong said a spin-off of the group`s non-Internet media assets is unlikely in the short term.

Anscheinend war Li Ka-shing mit der Entwicklung bei TOM Group nicht zufrieden.

Manchmal bringt ein neuer Mann an der Spitze neuen Wind in das Unternehmen. Die Börse Hong Kong feiert die Meldung
bereits mit einem Plus von 4,52 % auf 1,62 HKD.

Generell denke ich, dass ein Wechsel in der Führungsetage bzw. etwas frischer Wind nicht schaden kann.

Ob allerdings der Anstieg heute Morgen in HK darauf zurückzuführen ist, werden wir wohl eher erst in den nächsten Tagen sehen. Ungefähr in dem gleichen Maße (prozentual gesehen) ist HEUTE auch Softbank Inv. International (HK 0648) gestiegen, bei denen hat sich aber nichts verändert. Könnte also auch mal wieder einer dieser, nicht so seltenen, Kurshüpfer sein, die sich in den nächsten Tagen wieder abbauen.

Wünsche mir natürlich auch, dass es mal wieder längerfristig hoch geht.

(Infocast News) Tommei Tong, Chief Financial Officer of TOM Group (2383), announced today the company`s CEO, Sing Wang, will resign from TOM Group starting from January 27 for more time to take care of his own investments. Tong will become the new CEO.

Tong will also oversee the group`s financial affairs for some time while she takes up the post of CEO.

TOM Group will remain an inter-media company focusing on the Greater China Region after Wang`s resignation, and may continue to acquire businesses, Tong said.
