Hi Leute,
here a message from within, how Top managewment sees it:
This morning the Company is announcing third quarter results, which are in line with the previously revised expectations. A news release and perspective from Durk Jager are posted on the Corporate intranet.
Overall, we had a pretty strong quarter! Here are some highlights:
1. On a total basis, including Iams and PUR, the volume, profit came in ahead of target and dramatically above year ago.
2. Not included some other accomplishments, which directly helped the total Company results.
The divestiture of Chloraseptic was successfully completed.
Global Licensing donated P&G`s enhanced paperboard technology to Western Michigan University. As with all donations, the Company gets a tax benefit.
3. There was continued NOS growth on our key established brands, another round of excellent cost management, and significant progress on our development projects during JFM. Holding us back from even better results, though, category-wide cough/cold consumption was actually down versus year ago, and our established Health businesses generally were off versus year ago in developing markets.
4. Here are some specific business accomplishments that I think are especially noteworthy:
The Iams channel expansion is going extremely well. Volume/Profit exceeded expectations, and we`re on track to beat the acquisition economics for the year. Full-scale marketing has just begun, but value shares even before that were already quite encouraging. The supply, distribution, and in-store merchandising support for Iams have been truly outstanding.
Presentations to U.S. customers began on new Advanced Cleaning Crest and a new top-end toothbrush. The toothpaste should result in further business building.
And finally, certainly a recent high point is Actonel`s U.S. FDA approval. The introduction of this superior drug, now underway in the U.S., U.K. and Germany, is a significant milestone for our GBU and for the Company overall.
We need to keep up the pace of consumer-meaningful innovation while continuing to drive down costs and bring in extra funds. Our target is still to exceed the current April-June Forecast, just as we`ve beaten each of the preceding quarters this year. We`re starting to provide some exciting returns on P&G`s investment in our GBU. Let`s keep it going!

Hi Jopius, Huebi wo bist Du?
