Ich bin grundsätzlich teuren Uhren aus hochwertigem Material nicht abgeneigt, habe selber eine Sammlung alter Uhren.

Allerdings würde ich mir nie für ein paar Tausender eine Apple Watch kaufen, denn so Uhrenhaft die auch sein mag, wenn das neue Modell rauskommt, verliert die alte an Wert, zumindest mehr als eine "normale" Uhr. Übrig bleibt eine veraltete Technologie, die nur begrenzt eine Nachfrage finden wird.

Ich kann mir also nicht vorstellen dass der Absatz an hochpreisigen Apple Watches bemerkbar sein wird.

Natürlich kann ich mich auch irren, und die Apple Watch 1st Generation wird in 10-20 Jahren mit Aufschlägen als Sammlerstück verkauft so wie die ersten iPhones nun.

According to a survey by UBS, 10% of consumers said they were very likely to buy a smartwatch ahead of the Apple Watch launch in early 2015.

UBS surveyed 4,000 people and estimates Apple will sell about 24 million Apple Watches next year based on how many compatible iPhones are in use. (The Apple Watch is an accessory to the iPhone. It can't work independently.)

Most people surveyed (70%) said they already owned a regular watch, but would still buy a smartwatch.

If Apple can sell anywhere close to 24 million watches, it'll be a huge success. So far, no smartwatches have resonated with consumers. In the last 13 months or so, Samsung has released six different smartwatch models. None have been big sellers.

The Apple Watch will start at $349, but could cost well into the thousands for the models made of premium materials. Some, like Apple pundit John Gruber, have speculated that the gold Apple Watch will cost as much as $10,000. Apple hasn't given specific pricing on the various Apple Watch models except to say what the entry-level version will cost.

Smartwatches running Google's Android Wear operating system cost as little as $199.

Apple is still working on the watch. Even though the official unveiling happened in September, we only got a limited look at everything the Apple Watch will be able to do.

Since then, Apple has released Watchkit, a set of tools developers can use to make their iPhone apps work with the Apple Watch. WatchKit gave us a deeper look at how notifications will work on the Apple Watch.

We also may never find out how many watches Apple sells. On its last earnings call, the company said it would lump the Apple Watch sales into a miscellaneous category along with gadgets like the Apple TV and iPod. But if the watch has a strong opening weekend, you can bet Apple will come out with a braggy press release the following Monday with some real sales data.

The wearable computing market is one of the biggest growth areas in tech. BI Intelligence estimates that 148 million wearable devices like smartwatches and fitness trackers will ship in 2019.

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Apple Inc.'s (AAPL) price target was raised to $140 from $120 by analysts at Barclays on Monday.

The firm said it upped its numbers on the tech giant's stock due to its belief Apple is playing out a multi-year story of enhancing margins.

"To that end, we believe consensus estimates for gross margins could be conservative for a few years given historic mix shifts within iPhone and iPad toward bigger screens, along with the introduction of the new high-margin Apple Watch and innovative services," Barclays said.

"We believe margins are set to continue to move up appreciably over the next few quarters, and our estimates for full year 2016 and full year 2017 could even be conservative given fundamental product mix shifts with new products," Barclays added.

Shares of Apple are lower by 0.32% to $118.55 in pre-market trading this morning.

Ich habe mich über das U2 Album gefreut - hab´s sogar schon auf der Gear S
Wie gesagt - trotzdem eine Zwangsbeglückung, die manchen eben nicht erfreut hat - wobei ich mal annehme, dass dieser Shitstorm zumindest tw. schon gezielt ausgelöst wurde ....

Natürlich wusste ich, dass man für volle Funktionalität der Gear S zusätzl. ein entspr. Phone benötigt.
Allerdings war mir nicht klar, dass man für die Inbetriebnahme (!!) dieser Uhr auch bereits ein Phone benötigt - noch dazu ist das Zusammenspiel nur auf bestimmte Samsung-Geräte beschränkt!!

m.E. ist es nicht ganz fein eine Uhr als Stand-alone-Gerät anzupreisen, wenn es ohne zusätzl. Phone (das man eben zur Ersteinrichtung benötigt!) nicht einmal die Uhrzeit anzeigt...

Bin gespannt wie Apple das macht ...die Antwort wissen wir nun wohl alle ....

Ich denke man sollte nach dem Anstieg der letzen Monate auch mal ans aussteigen denken. Ich denke die Aktie wird nicht ewig so weitermachen. Der Absturz beim letzen mal war ja deutlich zu spüren.
