Die Credit Suisse hat die Einstufung für Iberdrola auf "Outperform" mit einem Kursziel von 4,70 Euro belassen. Die regulatorischen Risiken in Spanien hätten deutlich abgenommen, schrieb Analyst Stefano Bezzato in einer Studie vom Donnerstag. Zudem komme der Stromversorger beim Schuldenabbau gut voran. Iberdrola sei im Vergleich zum ersten Halbjahr 2012 nun in einer klar besseren Position. Der Experte erhöhte seine Gewinnschätzungen. Das Papier ist in der "Europe Focus List" der Credit Suisse enthalten.

Die US-Bank Citigroup hat die Einstufung für Iberdrola auf "Neutral" mit einem Kursziel von 3,90 Euro belassen. Das Verschuldungsziel des Versorgers sei angesichts des spanischen Tarifdefizits außer Reichweite, schrieb Analystin Antonella Bianchessi in einer Studie vom Donnerstag. Allerdings seien weitere Maßnahmen zum Schuldenabbau eventuell nicht notwendig. So dürften rückläufige Anleiherenditen den Druck mindern. In der Zwischenzeit könnte es Steuerreformen geben, um die langfristige Profitabilität des Sektors zu sichern.

EdF and Iberdrola lead Greece's wind energy market




Electricite de France SA and Iberdrola Renovables SA’s Greek unit, Rokas Renewables, are the top producers in Greece’s wind energy market, which grew 7 percent in 2012, according to the Hellenic Wind Energy Association.

Total installed capacity increased by 115.2 megawatts to 1,749.3 MW last year, compared with a 24 percent advance the year before, according to a statement on the Athens-based association’s website on Tuesday.

EDF produced 17 percent of that, or 298.8 megawatts, while Iberdrola accounted for 14 percent.

“The wind energy market is dynamic and has important prospects,” the association said.

“Political stability and a stable investment environment are prerequisites” for growth in the industry.

Terna Energy SA, Enel Green Power SpA and Ellaktor SA are the other top producers in the country.

Investments in the industry stood at 150 million euros last year, with total renewable energy investment reaching 2.5 billion euros, according to the statement.

Die Profitabilität europäischer Energiekonzerne dürfte weiter durch staatliche Sparmaßnahmen gefährdet werden, schrieb Analyst Clive Roberts in einer Branchenstudie vom Montag. Zudem könnte der wachsende CO2-Ausstoß in China Länder weltweit zu einer strengeren Regulierung aufgrund umweltpolitischer Bedenken veranlassen. Das könnte europäische Stromversorger ebenfalls belasten. Insgesamt sei die Unsicherheit mit Blick auf den Sektor recht hoch. Dessen Bewertung könnte noch weiter sinken.

IBERDROLA INGENIERÍA, TOGETHER WITH FOUR BASQUE COMPANIES, CARRIES OUT THE LARGE-SCALE ELECTRIC POWER STORAGE ALIA2 PROJECT



The initiative, which is part of the Company's commitment to innovation, is backed by the Basque regional government
The consortium has already completed the first stage of the project, which involved the design and manufacture of a 150-kW Storage System prototype based on lithium-ion
The aim of the ALIA2 project, in which the IBERDROLA subsidiary participates with CEGASA, OLDAR, IKOR and ORONA, is to create a Storage System with several megawatts of capacity, which will be the most powerful and reliable system available on the market
The infrastructure may be used by electric power generation and distribution companies and in other sectors as an alternative in the event of a supply failure in their facilities



IBERDROLA INGENIERÍA, together with the Basque companies Cegasa, Oldar, Ikor and Orona, is carrying out the Alia2 project, an innovative R&D initiative focused on large-scale electric power storage.

This consortium has successfully completed the first stage of the project, which involved the design and construction of a system based on lithium-ion capable of storing up to 150 kilowatts (kW).

The ultimate goal of this ambitious initiative, which was launched in 2010, is to build a Storage System based on lithium-ion with a capacity of several megawatts/hour that will be capable of delivering an amount of power five times greater than the energy stored in only 10 minutes, and will be the most powerful and reliable system available on the market when it comes into operation.

For the last three years, the Basque regional government, through the business development agency (SPRI), has been backing this project with funding channelled through research centres like IK4-CIDETEC and IK4-IKERLAN.

One innovative technological element of the ALIA2 project is the development of the battery pack concept, with a built-in cooling system, in a modular system where the lithium-ion cells are inserted as well as their corresponding protection systems, achieving the required voltage level and capacity. A control and protection module has also been created, which will be in charge of managing the electrical modules and will act as an interface with other modules or with the external grid system.

The new solution developed within the framework of this research will be highly relevant for electric power generation and distribution companies. These companies will be able to use this system in production plants using renewable energy, substations and transformer stations to improve grid services, the manageability of the energy produced and the synchronisation between production and demand.

In addition, this system, which uses 100% Basque technology, will undoubtedly also be extremely useful for other companies as a reliable alternative to electricity supply in the event of a supply failure in their facilities, namely: hospitals, trains, shopping centres, etc.

ALIA2, a project whose development is part of the IBERDROLA Group's firm commitment to innovation, is now in the testing stage, including the prototype and the auxiliary elements that will enable its integration into the electric grid.

Research into energy storage technologies has been in full expansion in recent years, particularly those based on lithium batteries. There are two driving forces in this area: the development of electric mobility, an area where the IBERDROLA Group is a global benchmark, and the integration of renewable energy into the electric grid, where the Company, as a global leader in wind power, has also played a key role.

Versorger Iberdrola will Scottish Power vorerst ganz behalten


LONDON (dpa-AFX) - Der spanische Versorger Iberdrola hat den geplanten Teilverkauf seiner britischen Sparte Scottish Power laut einem Pressebericht vorerst abgeblasen. Grund sei, dass der Verkauf von Vermögenswerten im vergangenen Jahr besser gelaufen sei als erwartet, schreibt die 'Financial Times' (Montag) unter Berufung auf mit der Sache vertraute Personen. Der Verkauf von Randbereichen habe mehr als die für 2012 vorgesehenen 850 Millionen Euro eingebracht. Insgesamt will sich der Konzern von Vermögenswerten in Höhe von zwei Milliarden Euro trennen, um die Schuldenlast zu verringern.

Dem Bericht zufolge hatte Iberdrola einen Teil seines britischen Stromanbieters bislang veräußern wollen. Der Konzern lehnte eine Stellungnahme auf Nachfrage der Zeitung ab./stw/jha/fbr

Was sollen sie denn groß darüber berichten? Das Ganze ist noch vollkommen in der Schwebe bzgl. Ausgleichszahlungen und es sind u.a. auch andere Unternehmen wie General Eletric davon betroffen. Findet man denn bei GE dazu überhaupt eine offizielle Pressemitteilung?

Ich habe die Dinger auch nicht endgültig verkauft.
Zur Zeit muss man halt auch ein wenig "flüssig" sein.
Außerdem habe ich noch meine EDP's. Die hatte ich ja aufgestockt.
Spätestens im Mai fliegen die aber raus.
Vielleicht stocke ich dann wieder Iberdrola auf.
