PANDA MARINE Mining and Exploration Limited (PANDA MARINE) wishes to inform all effected parties that the Option held by Ridgeback Global Resources PLC (Ridgeback) that entitled Ridgeback to a 34.9% equity holding in PANDA MARINE is currently being renegotiated.

Johannesburg, South Africa, Thursday 21 April 2011

The directors of PANDA MARINE Mining and Exploration Limited (PANDA MARINE) today stated that the lapsed Option held by Ridgeback Global Resources PLC (Ridgeback) to obtain 34.9% equity holding in PANDA MARINE is currently being renegotiated.

Mr.Kobus Pansegrouw, the CEO of PANDA MARINE, stated that the two companies have managed to come to terms regarding the way forward and that both parties have expressed the desire to enable a positive outcome. The anticipated agreement will be in the best interest of both companies, giving Ridgeback a position in Marine Mining and PANDA MARINE exposure to the international capital markets.

Ridgeback Global Resources Plc is publicly trading on the German Open Market, based in Frankfurt, under the ticker symbol RDM (WKN: A1CTMK).

PANDA MARINE Mining and Exploration Limited, is a marine diamond mining company operating on the South African West Coast and the owners of Mineral Rights and Intellectual Property relating to submersible robotics and equipment for the harvesting of marine diamonds.

Recent exploration efforts discovered what is suspected to be an ancient river channel passing below the coastline and heading seawards where it narrows into a deep gully. Phenomena such as this is caused by historic west ward flowing river drainage systems, now submerged under 30 meters of water and the ideal entrapment point for diamond deposits. PANDA MARINE’s exploration vessel is currently focusing on this high potential area.
