And on Wednesday, we did, when Airbnb announced an expansion of an earlier pilot program it ran in May, allowing Airbnb app users to book restaurant reservations, powered by Resy (see video below for an explanation of how it works).
There are many reasons why this integration of Resy into the Airbnb platform makes sense.
This is especially the case when you consider Airbnb’s pursuit of becoming a “super brand of travel” and owning more of the overall traveler journey or experience, whether by adding tours and activities (Airbnb Trips) or even launching something related to flights, as Chesky has previously mentioned.

"Is Airbnb going to put some “air” into its business on the road to an initial public offering? Speculation has mounted since CEO Brian Chesky teased the project in late 2016.
The Information reported last week that Airbnb “held preliminary talks” to buy or integrate with Hopper, the mobile-only fare prediction and flight-booking app that secured a $61 million financing round in December 2016.
In a separate move a year ago, Airbnb had “a team working on a potential flight-booking integration with Skyscanner, which was eventually scrapped,” The Information reported.

"It’s already been established that homesharing giant Airbnb doesn’t need to go public anytime soon. But if it did, Airbnb may likely have a market capitalization larger than any hotel company — and be on par with some of the biggest online travel agencies.
That’s just one of the findings from a new report, “Airbnb’s Network Effect Offers Investors a Unique Stay,” from Morningstar Equity Research. Morningstar analysts used two different methods — one looking at exit multiples and another comparing Airbnb to its competitive peer set — to determine the company’s valuation.
Morningstar found that Airbnb may well have a market cap that ranges anywhere from $53 billion to $65 billion, which would mark the first time Airbnb’s valuation would surpass the world’s largest hotel company, Marriott International, with its market cap of $46 billion.

“The valuation we’re getting to is worth a decent amount more than its last funding round of $31 billion from 2017,” said Dan Wasiolek, senior equity analyst for Morningstar and co-author of the report released on Tuesday.
Online travel agency Expedia’s market cap is $19 billion and TripAdvisor’s is $8 billion. Only Booking.com beats Airbnb’s estimated market cap, with a valuation of about $100 billion."

"Airbnb has reached peak Airbnb, at least in its most mature markets in the U.S. and Europe. Those are the findings of a new report from Morgan Stanley Research.
A follow-up to last year’s annual AlphaWise survey of 4,000 consumers in the U.S., UK, France, and Germany, the report found a continuation of slower growth for the homesharing giant in those markets, as well as increasing competition from online travel agencies Booking and Expedia.
For this year’s survey, the percentage of travelers who used Airbnb during the 12 months leading up to October 2018 increased to 27 percent, or about 2 percentage points. In 2017, the percentage of travelers who used Airbnb during the same period increased to 25 percent, up 3 percentage points. By contrast, in 2016, that increase was up 8 percentage points..."

HotelTonight hat geclosed:
https://press.airbnb.com/hoteltonight-and-airbnb-finalize-ac… Studie:
https://www.phocuswire.com/airbnb-versus-hotels-pricing-stra…"Among hotels’ concerns is how Airbnb impacts their pricing and distribution strategies, which, according to new research from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University, might be more dramatic than hoteliers may think.
The study, called Competitive Dynamics in the Sharing Economy: An Analysis in the Context of Airbnb and Hotels and shared in the INFORMS journal Marketing Science, pitted flexible-capacity Airbnb against the fixed-capacity lodging industry to uncover how the sharing economy has changed the way the hospitality industry accommodates demand fluctuations and how traditional hotels should respond."

"At 10:12 a.m. ET, the home rental firm’s shares were indicated to open at $149, more than double an upwardly revised initial public offering price of $68 apiece that raised $3.5 billion for the company."

Uff...gerade geschaut. 110€ in echt?
Was meckert ihr. In solchen Zeiten muss man einfach reich werden.
akt. 146,16 USD ... 💰💰💰
Im Hoch 163 USD ...da wird einem warm ums Herz...
puh, sind das Höhen wo die hin ist, die muss sich erst mal wieder finden
