Share price now over 50 & 200 day moving average. THE GOLDEN CROSS has appeared. RSI, momentum and volume is good Last I checked all technicals are bull now.. New highs comming shortly. Fundementls are clearly evident as eveyone knows. little resistance to $45 a share.

Barrick Gold Corporation (NYSE: ABX)(TSX: ABX) (Barrick or the "company") today announced that it has reached an agreement to form a joint venture with Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Ma'aden) to operate the Jabal Sayid copper mine, located 120 kilometers southeast of Medina, Saudi Arabia.
Under the agreement, Barrick and Ma'aden will each own 50 percent of the new joint venture. Ma'aden will acquire its 50 percent interest in the project for cash consideration of $210 million. The acquisition is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2014 and is subject to customary closing conditions.
"This joint venture will enable the Jabal Sayid project to move forward with the benefit of Ma'aden's extensive experience in the Saudi Arabian mining sector, combined with Barrick's technical and operating expertise," said Jamie Sokalsky, Barrick's President and CEO. "Once in production, Jabal Sayid will be a high-quality, low-cost underground copper mine capable of generating substantial free cash flow, while providing benefits for local communities through training, employment and economic development."
Jabal Sayid is expected to commence production in late 2015 and when fully operational is anticipated to produce approximately 100-130 million pounds of copper in concentrate per year during its first full five years of operation. The mine is expected to operate for up to 15 years on the basis of 1.4 billion pounds of copper in proven and probable reserves as at December 31, 2013.(1) Further exploration work will be carried out within the mining license area and the exploration license area surrounding the mine with the aim of extending the mine life.

Niemand wollte vor Wochen die beiden Edelmetalle haben, nach dem Sturz unter 19 Dollar mutmaßten manche Chartanalysten, dass gar Kurse von 16 und später 12 Dollar fällig sein könnten. Doch mit einer ordentlichen Bärenfalle hat Silber den Dreh geschafft, gestern kam richtige Dynamik in den Markt. Bis auf 21 Dollar kletterte Silber, auch Gold zog auf knapp 1.320 Dollar nach oben. Ein Grund ist natürlich das Statement von Janet Yellen, dass die Schleusen halbwegs offen bleiben. Der andere Grund ist aber, dass die Basiswerte ausverkauft waren, Aktien nicht mehr günstig sind und man nach billigeren Anlagen sucht. Und was böte sich da eher an als Edelmetalle wie Gold und Silber. Im Schlepptau übrigens steigt eine Aktie, auf die alle warten – Barrick Gold mit 18 US-Dollar gestern.
Der langfristige Chart von Barrick Gold sieht dabei aus wie ein Traum all jener, die auf ein Comeback hoffen. Wir hatten die Aktie vor einigen Tagen mit einer Anfangsposition ins defensive Depot genommen, abgedeckt durch ein Memory-Expresszertifikat. Wer möchte, kann sich dies noch einmal ansehen - ebenso übrigens wie unser Webinar von gestern, auch dort war Gold ein Thema.
Bei dem Papier reicht schon eine Kursstabilisierung für eine Rendite weit über Tagesgeldniveau bei einem weiteren üppigen Puffer nach unten. Doch schaut man auf den Chart, so sieht man eine wunderbare Bodenbildung, einen Widerstand bei rund 22 Dollar, stammend aus den Jahren 2013 und 2014, doch danach wäre der Weg frei über eine Kurslücke, die bis 28 US-Dollar reicht. Barrick könnte also ein absoluter Traum werden, wenn die Aktie etwas aus dieser Formation macht. Der Anfang ist auf jeden Fall geglückt. Übrigens könnten jene Anleger, die am 13.6 unseren Empfehlungen eines Silber Knock-out oder Silber Faktor-Long-Papiers gefolgt sind, schon erste Gewinne kassieren. Langfristig sollte man aber auch bei Silber am Ball bleiben.

Aber der Goldpreis ist nicht alles, eine positive aus Chile oder auch aus einer anderen Region für Barrick, würde den Aktienkurs weiter steigen lassen.

...erstes, auch kurzfristiges KZ, ist und bleibt 15-16 € -----für mehr brauchen wir Preise jenseits der 1500,XX
Der "Absturz" gestern Abend von 14,30 bis 13,65 kam trotzdem überraschend für mich, zumalsich die Unze Gold hält. Aber wie Du schon schreibst, vielleicht einfach Gewinnmitnahmen. Aktuell berappelt sie sich wieder auf 13,74
