Lincoln identifies maiden resource at Kookaburra Gully graphite project

The Adelaide-based explorer said resource modeling at the Eyre Peninsula project had defined a total indicated and inferred resource of 2.25 million tonnes at 15 per cent total graphitic carbon (TGC), with 338,000 tonnes of contained graphite at a cut-off grade of 5 per cent.
Shares were trading 3 per cent higher at 9.3c.
The 3D modeling, by AMC Consultants, found the high-grade flake graphite mineralisation extends to at least 125m below ground level and is over 500m in strike length.
"The maiden JORC Code compliant Mineral Resources at Kookaburra Gully reinforce Lincoln's confidence in being able to quickly progress the company's graphite resources on southern Eyre Peninsula into a high-quality, long-life graphite mining and processing operation," managing director Dr John Parker said.
"Drilling the Kookaburra Gully Graphite Project and defining over 2 Mt (million tonnes) of mineralisation at 15 per cent TGC in this timeframe has been a fantastic result for Lincoln."
The Kookaburra Gully prospect, 35 km from Port Lincoln, lies at the north-east end of an extensive electromagnetic anomaly, which the company said held the potential for a large exploration target.
To date, less than 20 per cent
of targets have been drilled, and an additional drilling program is planned for the middle of the year to extend the known mineralisation.
"Lincoln is very optimistic that drilling planned for Kookaburra Gully this year will define further graphite resources," he said.

The primary focus is to test proximal zones to the Discovery Zone trench which has returned excellent metallurgical, analytical and geophysical results.

36.8% Cg over 1.5m (minimum thickness) & 20.2% Cg over 1.4m (minimum thickness) in Discovery Zone trench sampling which also exposed approximately 20m of strike length with trenching bottoming in graphite.
The drill program is intended as a lead up to a more extensive drilling campaign which is currently being planned to systematically test the large geophysical target area, and other key anomalies and showings identified within the large property package....

The Yalbra Graphite Project is located 250km North West of Meekatharra and 280km East of Carnarvon, Western Australia, and covers an area of 37km2.
