Tawsho Mining Reports a Graphite Discovery on Its Cabot Property

      http://www.marketwire.com/press-release/tawsho-mining-report…

A tightly folded graphite rich formations with estimated widths greater than 50 meters and up to 250 meters in fold noses sampled (chip and grab across locally exposed widths) over a length of 1. 6 km returns graphite grades between 1.67% and 14.32% C(g)(1)

ORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 19, 2013) - Tawsho Mining Inc. (TSX VENTURE:TAW) is pleased to report that a graphite discovery has been made on its Cabot property in Newfoundland. The Cabot Property consists of 102 claims which cover an area of 25.5 sq. km located approximately 12 km north of the village Baie Verte in northwestern Newfoundland. The property, acquired in March 2012 (see press release February 21, 2012), was known to host the Cabot Cu-sulfide prospect and the Marble Cove Au prospect. Although graphitic metasedimentary rock units had been mapped on the property, there is no indication that the area had been explored or actively prospected for economic graphite prospects. Tawsho undertook during the 2012 exploration season to systematically prospect, locate, map and sample graphite occurrences on the Cabot property.......

Lithex Resources’ (ASX: LTX) recent geological mapping and sampling at its Plumbago Graphite Project in New South Wales has produced high grades of up to 23% total graphitic carbon (TGC).

The project contains 10 historically recorded occurrences of graphite, with three of these having produced graphite back in the early 1900s.

Seven samples taken from these occurrences assayed between 1.4% and 23% TGC, with an average of 10.6% TGC.

Graphite Weekly Review: Record Purity Equals ZEN

      http://www.proedgewire.com/graphite-graphene-intel/graphite-…

The second biggest story, no doubt, is the fact that a company has found a way to refine natural graphite to the unprecedented level of 99.96% carbon content.

Bin zwar ein wenig zu spät rein, aber bei dem Reinheitsgrad kann man die meisten anderen Mine ja wohl vergessen.

“We are pleased to have successfully completed due diligence upon this
exciting Sri Lankan graphite portfolio. Sri Lanka is well documented to have the
world’s highest grades of graphite mineralisation (usually in excess of 90%
      :eek::eek:
TGC) relative to the rest of the world’s deposits that typically do not average
grades in excess of 15% TGC. We believe that grade will prove to be the point
of difference and will support the ongoing value proposition of Bora Bora
      Resources relative to its peers.

Monax Mining to commence drilling at Waddikee graphite project, Australia

      http://carbon.energy-business-review.com/news/monax-mining-t…

Australia-based multi-commodity explorer Monax Mining has commenced drilling at its 100% owned Waddikee Graphite Project.

The project is located on the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia and the drilling program will target Waddikee's Wilclo South prospect.

Previous drilling at the site identified 15m at 16.3% total graphitic carbon (TGC) in hole WG032 measuring 90-105m and 9m at 14.8% TGC in hole WG031 measuring 59-68m.

Mapping and sampling at Wilco South has confirmed coarse flake graphite up to 3.5km in strike length.

The company will undertake the majority of the drilling program at the Wilclo South prospect to primarily provide sufficient drill-hole information for the determination of an inferred resource by mid-2013.

Monax will also undertake limited drilling at the project's Francis and Argent prospects to test strong conductive features outlined by the ground EM survey and previous sampling.

The drilling is expected to be concluded in four to six weeks.
