BUS STOP
The Hollies
Bus stop, wet day, she`s there, I say
Please share my umbrella
Bus stop, bus goes, she stays, love grows
Under my umbrella
All that summer we enjoyed it
Wind and rain and shine
That umbrella, we employed it
By August, she was mine
Every morning I would see her waiting at the stop
Sometimes she`d shopped and she would show me what she bought
Other people stared as if we were both quite insane
Someday my name and hers are going to be the same
That`s the way the whole thing started
Silly but it`s true
Thinkin` of a sweet romance
Beginning in a queue
Came the sun the ice was melting
No more sheltering now
Nice to think that that umbrella
Led me to a vow
Every morning I would see her waiting at the stop
Sometimes she`d shopped and she would show me what she bought
Other people stared as if we were both quite insane
Someday my name and hers are going to be the same

http://ericbazilian.com/songs1.html
http://www.tunisiancommunity.org/private_emotions.ram
---------------------THE HOOTERS---------------------
-------------------PRIVATE EMOTION-------------------
Every endless night has a dawning day
Every darkest sky has a shining ray
And it shines on you baby can`t you see
You`re the only one who can shine for me
It`s a private emotion that fills you tonight
And a silence falls between us as the shadows steal the light
And wherever you may find it wherever it may lead
Let your private emotion come to me
When your soul is tired and your heart is weak
Do you think of love as a one way street
Well it runs both ways, open up your eyes
Can`t you see me here, how can you deny
It`s a private emotion that fills you tonight
And a silence falls between us as the shadows steal the light
And wherever you may find it wherever it may lead
Let your private emotion come to me
Every endless night has a dawning day
Every darkest sky has a shining ray
It takes a lot to laugh as your tears go by
But you can find me here `til your tears run dry
It`s a private emotion... Come to me...

Deine Hand in meiner Hand.
Was mich beengt in meinem Leben,

-------------NOIR DESIR with LEONARD COHEN-------------
--------------THE PARTISAN--------------
When they poured across the border
I was cautioned to surrender,
This I could not do;
I took my gun and vanished.
I have changed my name so often,
I’ve lost my wife and children
But I have many friends,
And some of them are with me.
An old woman gave us shelter,
Kept us hidden in the garret,
Then the soldiers came;
She died without a whisper.
There were three of us this morning
I’m the only one this evening
But I must go on;
The frontiers are my prison.
Oh, the wind, the wind is blowing,
Through the graves the wind is blowing,
Freedom soon will come;
Then we’ll come from the shadows.
Les allemands e’taient chez moi,
Ils me dirent, signe toi,
Mais je n’ai pas peur;
J’ai repris mon arme.
J’ai change’ cent fois de nom,
J’ai perdu femme et enfants
Mais j’ai tant d’amis;
J’ai la france entie`re.
Un vieil homme dans un grenier
Pour la nuit nous a cache’,
Les allemands l’ont pris;
Il est mort sans surprise.
[the germans were at my home
They said, sign yourself,
But I am not afraid
I have retaken my weapon.
I have changed names a hundred times
I have lost wife and children
But I have so many friends
I have all of france
An old man, in an attic
Hid us for the night
The germans captured him
He died without surprise.]
Oh, the wind, the wind is blowing,
Through the graves the wind is blowing,
Freedom soon will come;
Then we’ll come from the shadows.

Love Calls You By Your Name
Leonard Cohen
You thought that it could never happen
to all the people that you became,
your body lost in legend, the beast so very tame.
But here, right here,
between the birthmark and the stain,
between the ocean and your open vein,
between the snowman and the rain,
once again, once again,
love calls you by your name.
The women in your scrapbook
whom you still praise and blame,
you say they chained you to your fingernails
and you climb the halls of fame.
Oh but here, right here,
between the peanuts and the cage,
between the darkness and the stage,
between the hour and the age,
once again, once again,
love calls you by your name.
Shouldering your loneliness
like a gun that you will not learn to aim,
you stumble into this movie house,
then you climb, you climb into the frame.
Yes, and here, right here
between the moonlight and the lane,
between the tunnel and the train,
between the victim and his stain,
once again, once again,
love calls you by your name.
I leave the lady meditating
on the very love which I, I do not wish to claim,
I journey down the hundred steps,
but the street is still the very same.
And here, right here,
between the dancer and his cane,
between the sailboat and the drain,
between the newsreel and your tiny pain,
once again, once again,
love calls you by your name.
Where are you, Judy, where are you, Anne?
Where are the paths your heroes came?
Wondering out loud as the bandage pulls away,
was I, was I only limping, was I really lame?
Oh here, come over here,
between the windmill and the grain,
between the sundial and the chain,
between the traitor and her pain,
once again, once again,
love calls you by your name.

@fixbutte: yeah - there is life in the streets...

-------------------THERE IS A WAR-------------------
There is a war between the rich and poor,
a war between the man and the woman.
There is a war between the ones who say there is a war
and the ones who say there isn`t.
Why don`t you come on back to the war,
that`s right, get in it,
why don`t you come on back to the war,
it`s just beginning.
Well I live here with a woman and a child,
the situation makes me kind of nervous.
Yes, I rise up from her arms,
she says I guess you call this love;
I call it service.
Why don`t you come on back to the war,
don`t be a tourist,
why don`t you come on back to the war,
before it hurts us,
why don`t you come on back to the war,
let`s all get nervous.
You cannot stand what I`ve become,
you much prefer the gentleman I was before.
I was so easy to defeat,
I was so easy to control,
I didn`t even know there was a war.
Why don`t you come on back to the war,
don`t be embarrassed,
why don`t you come on back to the war,
you can still get married.
There is a war between the rich and poor,
a war between the man and the woman.
There is a war between the left and right,
a war between the black and white,
a war between the odd and the even.
Why don`t you come on back to the war,
pick up your tiny burden,
why don`t you come on back to the war,
let`s all get even,
why don`t you come on back to the war,
can`t you hear me speaking?

ALTE LIEBE
Boris Bukowski
abgestorben, tot und leer
ausgeronnen
alles vorbei
was du zu fest gehalten hast
das gleitet aus der hand
was gestern noch in flammen stand
was einmals grosse liebe war
vergessen und vorbei
alte liebe
nicht mehr modern
alte liebe
nicht mehr modern
doch diese liebe, doch diese liebe
lässt mich nicht los
wir sind ja alle so modern
alles kein problem
die scherben untern teppich kehrn
sich keine blösse geben
die zugbrücke hochgezogen
nach unten das visier
was kaputtes repariern
das steht doch nicht dafür
alte liebe
nicht mehr modern
alte liebe
nicht mehr modern
doch diese liebe, diese liebe
lässt mich nicht mehr los
alte liebe
nicht mehr modern
alte liebe

ALTE LIEBE
Boris Bukowski
abgestorben, tot und leer
ausgeronnen
alles vorbei
was du zu fest gehalten hast
das gleitet aus der hand
was gestern noch in flammen stand
was einmals grosse liebe war
vergessen und vorbei
alte liebe
nicht mehr modern
alte liebe
nicht mehr modern
doch diese liebe, doch diese liebe
lässt mich nicht los
wir sind ja alle so modern
alles kein problem
die scherben untern teppich kehrn
sich keine blösse geben
die zugbrücke hochgezogen
nach unten das visier
was kaputtes repariern
das steht doch nicht dafür
alte liebe
nicht mehr modern
alte liebe
nicht mehr modern
doch diese liebe, diese liebe
lässt mich nicht mehr los
alte liebe
nicht mehr modern
alte liebe

Crusaders feat. Randy Crawford - Street Life
(Joe Sample/Will Jennings)
I play the street life, because there`s no place I can go
Street life, it`s the only life I know
Street life, and there`s a thousand parts to play
Street life, until you play your life away
You let the people see
Just who you wanna be
And every night you sang
Just like a superstar
The type of life that`s played
A temptin` masquerade
You`re dressed, you`re geared out
You`re who you think you are
Street life, you can run away from time
Street life, for a nickel or a dime
Street life, but you better not get old
Or you`re gonna feel the cold
There`s always love for sale
A grown up fairy tale
Prince Charming always smiles
Behind a silver spoon
And if you keep it young
Your song is always sung
Your love will pay your way
Beneath the silver moon
Street life, street life, street life, oh, street life ...
Uh huh, yeah yeah
I play the street life, because there`s no place I can go
Street life, it`s the only life I know
Street life, and there`s a thousand parts to play
Street life, until you play your life away
Street life, street life, street life, oh, street life ...

Eine schöne Steilvorlage für mich, Iguana!
FIRST WE TAKE MANHATTAN
Leonard Cohen
They sentenced me to twenty years of boredom
For trying to change the system from within
I`m coming now, I`m coming to reward them
First we take Manhattan, then we take Berlin
I`m guided by a signal in the heavens
I`m guided by this birthmark on my skin
I`m guided by the beauty of our weapons
First we take Manhattan, then we take Berlin
I`d really like to live beside you, baby
I love your body and your spirit and your clothes
But you see that line there moving through the station?
I told you, I told you, told you, I was one of those
Ah you loved me as a loser, but now you`re worried that I just might win
You know the way to stop me, but you don`t have the discipline
How many nights I prayed for this, to let my work begin
First we take Manhattan, then we take Berlin
I don`t like your fashion business mister
And I don`t like these drugs that keep you thin
I don`t like what happened to my sister
First we take Manhattan, then we take Berlin
I`d really like to live beside you, baby ...
And I thank you for those items that you sent me
The monkey and the plywood violin
I practiced every night, now I`m ready
First we take Manhattan, then we take Berlin
I am guided
Ah remember me, I used to live for music
Remember me, I brought your groceries in
Well it`s Father`s Day and everybody`s wounded
First we take Manhattan, then we take Berlin
