Belarusian-Chinese car assembly company BelGee nearly finished building factory

The construction of a factory by the Belarusian-Chinese car assembly company BelGee is in the final stage, BelTA learned from Belarusian First Deputy Industry Minister Gennady Svidersky on 22 September.

Geely Has Seen The Market Shift From Hesitancy To Hope


Summary

.Geely has been on a tear, as new, higher-ASP, model launches have allowed the company to handily outpace the Chinese auto market in terms of unit sales.

.The next few years should see more of the same as Geely launches several new premium-priced vehicles developed with Volvo on the joint CMA platform.

.Geely shares now anticipate robust growth and are more vulnerable to disappointment, but additional successful launches can still drive upward revisions.

I've liked Geely (OTCPK:GELYY) (0175.HK) for a while, and I thought the company's refreshed line-up would reignite growth in 2016, but this Chinese auto OEM is doing much better than I'd expected. Sales growth has been well ahead of overall trends in China on the strength of new SUV models like the Boyue and Emgrand GS, and next year will see the first launches of products designed on a joint platform with parent company-owned Volvo.

The Hong Kong-listed shares are up almost 130% since my last update in late February (while the U.S. ADRs do trade, the Hong Kong shares are much more liquid). While the strong market reaction to Geely's new products has led me to significantly increase my fair value since then, I think you have to make some pretty bold assumptions to consider these shares fundamentally undervalued today. A lot could still go right for the company, but the risk-reward balance isn't as favorable as before.

New Models Are Proving Popular

Management has done a lot to turn this business around in recent years. The company had a reputation for low quality and cheapness that was well-deserved and there was a time when buying a Geely basically signaled to other people that things weren't going so well in your life. Management allowed the product line-up to get very old, and basically missed out on key trends like the popularity of SUV and sedans with turbocharged engines.

A lot has changed. The Boyue compact SUV has only been on the market since March, but it is proving to be a real challenger to incumbents like Great Wall (OTCPK:GWLLY), Changan (also written as Chang'an), and GAC. It certainly doesn't hurt that Geely priced the Boyue quite competitively, but it is an attractive, modern, and very competitive offering.

Das ist eine Super Idee! 2 Monate das Auto testen mit Rücktrittsmöglichkeit. So muss man rangehen um Vertrauen in die E-Mobilität zu schaffen!

Ich bin derzeit dabei abzuwägen ob und wann ich Aktien nachkaufe. Wenn man etwa das doppelte von vor einigen Monaten hinlegen muss, bringt das zusätzliche Kopfschmerzen...aber ich habe das Gefühl das wir uns in nicht allzu langer Zeit freuen würden, nochmal unter einem Euro Geelyanteile zu bekommen. Deine Posts sind da echt hilfreich..Danke..hier anbei unser wunderschöner Chart. Mein Wunschziel wäre etwa bei 0,75...der kleine Kreis....wie gesagt Wunsch, der Kurs kann auch genausogut der steilen roten Linie folgen, was hieße jetzt muss man kaufen.
Mittelfristig gesünder wäre es nicht zu schnell zu wachsen. We´ll see!
Vielleicht spielt ja der eine oder andere auch mit dem Gedanken! Für eine Konsolidierung sprechen auch Indikatoren, wie der Money Flow Index (MFI) die zeigen das die Geldzuflüsse in den Wert nachlassen. Wie gesagt, alles kann sich ganz schnell ändern, Kaufentscheidungen immer selbst abwägen und verantworten.
