Huch, Iguana ich wollte heute eigentlich nicht mein Postingreservoir einer ganzen Woche verpulvern, doch bei deinem „Without You“ muss ich unweigerlich an eine der tragischsten Bands der Rockgeschichte denken – BADFINGER. Dass sie den Song geschrieben haben und Nilsson den Riesenerfolg damit hatte, war ja nur eine ihrer Tragödien.

Die grösste war wohl, dass sie zur selben Zeit wie die Beatles aktiv waren und das selbe Management hatten. Das hat sich voll auf die Beatles konzentriert und Badfinger fallen lassen wie eine heisse Kartoffel. Man sprach sogar von Betrug. Pete Ham und Tom Evans sind daran zerbrochen, beide endeten durch Selbstmord. Der Drummer Mike Gibbins starb im Oktober 2005, und so ist Joe Molland der einzige Überlebende des ursprünglichen Quartetts, das mal als „Iveys“ begonnen hatte.

…das hat mich auf die idee gebracht mal ausschau nach dem größten song
von Aerosmith überhaupt zu halten – „Kings And Queens“, den sie leider
nur selten in der setlist haben(als ich sie live gesehen habe zum beispiel leider nicht) –
und bin selbst da fündig geworden...
...allerdings muss man live einige abstriche machen zur filigranen studioversion,
da es damals sound- und reha-probleme in der band gab...

Viacom kopiert YouTube Montag, 12. Februar 2007
Wenn ein TV-Unternehmen YouTube dazu auffordert, tausende von Video-Clips aus dem Datenbestand zu entfernen, ist das kaum mehr eine Meldung wert. Doch die in der vergangenen Woche bekannt gewordene Forderung von Viacom macht da eine Ausnahme.

Denn diesem Unternehmen scheint es nicht nur darauf anzukommen, beim YouTube-Eigentümer Google den besten Preis herauszuschlagen - etwa im Sinne einer angemessenen Beteiligung an den Werbeeinnahmen. Viacom scheint vielmehr zu beabsichtigen, eine eigene Video Site aufzubauen, auf der dann Ausschnitte eigener TV-Produktionen kostenlos verbreitet werden.

Ein interessanter Plan, zumal Sendungen aus Viacoms "Comedy Central" zu den beliebtesten Inhalten bei YouTube zählten. Doch auf diese 100.000 Clips muss YouTube jetzt verzichten. Ob Viacom allerdings mit einem eigenen Video-Angebot auch eine eigene Community aufbauen kann, ist eine andere Frage.

Dieser Punkt dürfte aber sehr wichtig sein. Denn die Bereitschaft anderer Medienunternehmen, eigene Produktionen im YouTube-Bestand zu lassen, hat wohl auch mit der Werbewirkung dieser "Zweitveröffentlichung" zu tun. YouTube-Filme werden häufig beispielsweise von Blogs verlinkt und erreichen so teilweise ein neues Publikum.

Jedoch muss hierzu auch erwähnt werden, dass Viacom nicht nur wie YouTube Film-Clips veröffentlichen will. Es ist auch vorgesehen, die von YouTube eingeführte Möglichkeit der Einbettung dieser Clips auf anderen Web Sites zu kopieren.

Wenn also die technische Umsetzung dieses Vorhabens Viacom nicht überfordern sollte, könnte sich dieses Modell als "Antwort auf YouTube" auch bei anderen Fernsehanbietern etablieren. Dann wäre YouTube viel stärker als heute auf Eigenproduktionen seiner Nutzer angewiesen.

Streng genommen hast du natürlich Recht, Juno aber bei dem Vielvölkergemisch von Louisiana vermischen sich eben auch die Begriffe wie die Zutaten der Eintöpfe, die als kreolische Küche gelten. Wobei Kreolen (laut Wikipedia) wiederum sowohl französische, portugiesische, karibische und sogar deutsche Einwanderer sein können als auch die Mischung aus schwarzen und karibischen Menschen, die als Sklaven auf den Baumwollfeldern des Südens gearbeitet haben. Und die Cajuns sollen wiederum aus Arcadien stammen - einem Landstrich, der bei mir eigentlich nur als schönes Fantasiegebilde bzw. als arkadischer Zustand existent war ...
