"PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Australian explorer AusAmerican Mining has moved to acquire a majority shareholding in private Chinese company Shenglong International Investments, which holds exploration assets and a direct shipping ore- (DSO-) producing asset in the Republic of Congo.

Under the terms of the transaction, AusAmerican would acquire a 77.58% shareholding in Shenglong for a total of $103.44-million, which would be paid to the vendor over a two-year period, starting this year.

Using the last day of Paydirt’s African Downunder conference, in Perth, AusAmerican executive chairperson Peter Landau stated that the company would fund the cash payment from a $60-million project finance facility, which was yet to be secured, while the balance of the payments would be funded from ongoing operations at the Moubiri DSO mine, which formed part of the transaction.

“This acquisition, together with discussions on acquisition and development funding represents a transformative milestone for the company,” said Landau.

Shenglong owns Congolese company Societe Lulu de Mine, which, in turn, holds a 90% interest in the two polymetalic exploitation permits that include the Moubiri DSO project and the Mindouli copper project.

The exploitation permits cover some 372 km2, and are valid until 2036, with Landau telling delegates at the conference that the projects would also be exempt from taxes for the next ten years.

The Moubiri project is a copper/lead/zinc DSO asset currently producing at a rate of 50 t/d, and Landau believed that the company could ramp up production to around 200 t/d in the short-term with a capital investment of A$2-million, to provide significant cash flow margins for the company.

The project could further increase production to 500 t/d with further investment.

The Mindouli project, in turn, is a large, high-grade sandstone and limestone-hosted copper deposit, which has an exploration target of between 15-million and 30-million tonnes, grading at between 3% and 5% copper.

“Mindouli is a development project with significant exploration and feasibility work undertaken to date and, importantly, a clear path forward to establish the next stage forward for development,” said Landau.

Meanwhile, AusAmerican had started discussions with several international trading commodity houses to secure a $60-million copper/lead/zinc prepayment facility to fund the transaction.

Landau pointed out that discussions had involved the company providing an exclusive offtake agreement for the life of the Moubiri mine in return for providing the company with the prepayment loan.

Should AusAmerican be unable to raise the initial funding to pay the vendor for his shareholding in Shenglong, the transaction would not proceed.

+ Tsodilo calculated this exploration target by extrapolating results from current drill hole data to the far larger area covered by the ground magnetic geophysical data by utilizing a ground magnetics inversion model.

"The share price of ASX-listed junior Coventry Resources increased by 70% on Wednesday, on news that the company would be earning an 80% shareholding in an Alaskan copper project.


Coventry told shareholders that it would acquire an 80% interest in the Caribou Dome copper project through the acquisition of unlisted Australian company Aldevco.

Under the takeover agreement, Coventry would issue about 60-million of its shares to Aldevco, subject to the necessary regulatory and shareholder approvals.

Aldevco holds the right to earn a majority interest in Caribou Dome by reimbursing Hatcher Resources some $75 000 in expenses incurred, as well as spending a minimum of $100 000 a year over periods ending September 1 2015, 2016 and 2017.

Aldevco would also be required to spend a minimum of $2-million between September 2014 and 2017, September 2017 and 2020, and September 2020 and 2023.

The unlisted company had to spend a total of $9-million on the project, or complete a feasibility study on the project by June 2023.

Hatcher would retain a 10% interest in the Caribou Dome project following the completion of the earn-in, with the remaining 10% held by SV Metals. The current project owner, C-D Development Corporation would retain a 5% net smelter royalty in the project, with Coventry retaining the right to purchase the royalty for $1-million for each 1%.

Mineralisation has been identified over nearly 4 000 m of strike at Caribou Dome, and Coventry would initially target the delineation of between five-million and ten-million tonnes of mineralisation at between 2.5% and 4% copper.

Coventry meanwhile also announced that it would also delist from the TSX Venture Exchange, subject to approval.

The decision to apply for the delisting was driven by the company’s management team being based out of Australia, and the majority of the shareholders either being registered on the Australian share register or residing in Australia.

It was hoped that the delisting would also reduce administrative costs and burdens.

Coventry was trading at a high of 1.8c a share on Wednesday, up from an opening price of 1.5c a share. "

I am pleased to be sending you the first update on BC Anthracite, for whom I serve as Executive Chairman.

Between July and September this year, BC Anthracite acquired a significant holding of prospective anthracite ground through both formal British Columbia Government channels as well as through direct acquisitions with various private licence holders.

This has resulted in a 402 square kilometer contiguous package of prospective tenure (100% owned by BC Anthracite) that covers the southern and eastern extent of the known anthracite bearing Groundhog Coalfield, as well as the BC rail subgrade that links to several deep sea ports, including the Ridley Coal Terminal at Prince Rupert as well as several Vancouver coal terminals. The flagship project has been appropriately named "Groundhog South", and has been independently assessed as hosting:

NI 43-101 compliant Exploration Target# of 2.3 to 3.8 billion tonnes of anthracite based on:

only 46% of the 402 km2 project area
a low and high assumption of 15m and 25m net cumulative anthracite
an anthracite density of 1.65 tonnes/m3
a further 50% discount applied to a calculated 4.6Bt to 7.7Bt range

#Exploration Target quality and quantity is conceptual in nature. There has been insufficient exploration to define a mineral resource and it is uncertain if further exploration will result in delineation of a mineral resource.

This is a significant starting point from which we believe we can again build a world class asset.

Anthracite markets remain buoyant

Despite a generally weak global hard coking coal market, higher grade steel making inputs such as high grade anthracite has remained relatively strong, with current pricing stable at US$150-$175/t, almost double that received for hard coking coal. Seaborne supply remains under significant pressure due to declining Vietnamese and Ukrainian anthracite exports.

Namibia konnte ich mir schon lange etwas mit vorstellen,
aber noch nie etwas gehabt.
Die(hier) hatten mal in Eisen "diversifiziert", was(Projekt) ich pot sehr attraktiv fand,
aber im Eisen downturn glaube ich auch gegen die Wand gefahren.
Davon ausgehend, wenn ich es nicht komplett falsch auf der Reihe habe,
müssten Die glaube ich, schon mindestens, von "Rohstoff A in B, in C gehen",
das sollte Einem viel schon gewahr sein

Wollte eigentlich nur sagen dass Die "Mutter"(gesellschaft) damals -jedenfalls was den shareprice angeht- eine dieser megaerfolgreichen "Kolumbien Goldaktien"(riesen highgrade deposit definiert) war.
Später dann glaube ich vom Brasilianer Batista weggekauft

Habe mich bis dahin nur auf die "grades", den Equivalent, bezogen.
Njaaaaa, Metallpreise sind auf jeden Fall hoch unterstellt,
aber wenn Du (bei so hohen Graden)die "(runter)anpasst" dann kann es auch gut sein dass das keine großartige "(resourcen)reduktion" mit sich bringen wird.

Hört sich find ich reeecht lowgradig(aber sehr groß) an,
wobei auf Einen Equivalent umgelegt vielleicht teils Anders?
(bei Zink/Blei vermutlich immernoch nicht so,
aber auf Kupfer könnte Es vielleicht schon ganz anständig "aussehen")


Also weiss nicht,
aber Was mich an solchen Deposits schon öfter stört,
ist dass Der Equivalent "vielleicht schon gut" aussieht,
aber Wenn Du Eine Kombination von "mehreren lowergradigen (Anteilen)" hast, dann fallen Die Ausbringungs/Gewinnungsraten ab Dem(vielleicht so)2,3Rohstoff oft gaaanz schön ab.
(anfänglich oft noch in den 90ties(%), oder hohen 80ies, aber Dem 2.,3. dann oft nur noch eher so Die 70ies, wenns nicht sogar noch weiter runterfällt, is, Wenn es Viele sind, teils auch in Die 50ies, und so)
Gehört auch mit zu Gründen warum mich z.B. Sowas Wie Levon nicht interessiert.

Also Anders ausgedrückt,
Was ich nur sagen will:
Hättest Du Dieses ganze "Zeug",den "rock value" in, nur, Einem Rohstoff,
dann wären Die (Gesamt)Gewinnungsraten meist noch höher bis weit höher, als wenn Du Das auf "Viele Rohstoffe verteilt" hast.


Also Keine Ahnung zum konkreten Fall,
aber mal 1,2 Gedanken dazu.

für sehr, sehr viel Leid der Welt verantwortlich,
muss abgeschafft werden

- gibt auch Welche Die sagen Mir "Alles scheissegal, ich nehm wies kommt, will Kohle machen, Rest interessiert mich nicht, "Ende Gelände" "
- dann gibts, aber, auch eine Gruppe, Typ, Die/Der sagt:
Ich "finde es sehr, sehr bedauerlich Was Diese Spekulationen (teilweise)anrichten,
kann es aber NICHT ändern,

Most of the initial expenditure will be put to reopening the world’s highest-grade tungsten mine, Salau at the Couflens project in France. Apollo has completed the acquisition of Aurenere, a Spanish asset just down strike from its French site. License applications are progressing while a programme is being designed for drilling in due course. Initial reconnaissance work there has shown gold grades of up to 33 grams a tonne and 5% WO3.

"Message from Don Burton, President of Namibia Rare Earths Inc.

As anticipated, Celsius Resources (ASX:CLA) has released its maiden JORC compliant mineral resource estimate for their Opuwo Cobalt Project (“Opuwo”) in Namibia. The size of the resource is >100 million tonnes which has greatly exceeded their exploration target of 33-41 million tonnes and confirms the potential to develop a world-class cobalt mine in northern Namibia. The deposit is open in all directions. This is the same area where Namibia Rare Earths (“NRE” or the “Company”) has identified multiple cobalt targets from regional geochemical surveys over our adjacent Kunene Co-Cu Project (“Kunene”) as indicated in Company press releases of March 5 and March 26, 2018.


The JORC compliant resource reported by Celsius is 112.4 million tonnes at a grade of 0.11% cobalt, 0.41% copper, and 0.43% zinc, at a cut-off grade of 0.06% (or 600 ppm) cobalt. Note that JORC totals Indicated + Inferred resources. The Mineral Resource estimate represents contained cobalt of 126,100 tonnes and consists of:

- 72.0 million tonnes at a grade of 0.11% cobalt, 0.42% copper and 0.41% zinc in the Indicated category, and a further

- 40.5 million tonnes at a grade of 0.12% cobalt, 0.41% copper and 0.46% zinc in the Inferred category.


Celsius has also confirmed it is expecting to deliver a Project Scoping Study on Opuwo towards the end of Q2, 2018. A copy of the press release issued April 16, 2018 by Celsius is attached.

The news is important to shareholders of NRE as the Company holds a significant land position in the Kunene Co-Cu Project which is contiguous with Opuwo. The mineralization at Opuwo is stratabound in nature and occurs in a well defined sedimentary horizon termed the Dolomite Ore Formation (“DOF”). Extensions of the DOF are interpreted to extend across the NRE ground over a potential strike length of 40 km. As announced on March 26, 2018 NRE is preparing to fly an airborne EM survey covering all cobalt regional anomalies identified on its Kunene ground by the regional geochemical surveys. Today’s announcement by Celsius should firmly draw attention to the developing story of an emerging cobalt district in northern Namibia.
