MSCI to Announce 2019 Market Classification Review

On December 19, 2018, MSCI (NYSE: MSCI), a leading provider of research-based indexes and analytics, announced a change in the communication release cycle of the MSCI Annual Market Classification Review and MSCI Market Accessibility Review. Accordingly, MSCI will announce the results of the MSCI 2019 Annual Market Classification Review on June 25, 2019 and the results of the MSCI 2019 Annual Market Accessibility Review on June 6, 2019. Both announcements will be made available shortly after 10:30 p.m. Central European Summer Time (CEST) on https://www.msci.com/market-classification.

Additionally, please note that as the MSCI Kuwait Index is currently included on the MSCI 2019 Annual Market Classification Review list for a potential reclassification to Emerging Markets status, the MSCI Kuwait Indexes will not be included in the MSCI 2019 Annual Market Accessibility Review report released on June 6, 2019. This information will subsequently be made available on June 25, 2019, concurrent with the MSCI 2019 Annual Market Classification Review announcement.
