    The Social Chain (TSC) is facing a difficult macroeconomic environment, with high uncertainty about future consumer spending. As with other retailers, the skyrocketing cost of purchasing is likely to weigh on business. The group experienced a sound economic situation during the pandemic which is now leading to a strong base effect, meaning that last year's sales and earnings figures should only be achieved again in the distant future. Therefore, we don't see the trough being passed yet. But the combination of TSC and DS Holding still seems to make sense, as DS Holding has a stronger balance sheet and experience to weather the looming weak years. We further cut our estimates and slightly reduce the price target to EUR 7.00. As it is too early to buy, the rating remains HOLD.
