The aim is for your investment to reflect the performance of the Markit iBoxx Japan Sovereign Index (Index).The Index reflects the performance of tradable debt (bonds) issued in Japanese Yen (JPY) by the Japanese government. Only bonds whose cash flow can be determined in advance are eligible for inclusion in the Index. All bonds must have a minimum emaining time to maturity of at least 1 year at each re-balancing date. All bonds require a specific minimum amount outstanding of JPY 200 billion in order to be eligible for inclusion in the Index.The Index is calculated on a total return basis, which means that amounts equivalent to interest payments on the bonds are reinvested in the Index after deducting the applicable withholding tax. The Index is calculated and published by Markit and rebalanced monthly.
To achieve the aim, the Fund will buy bonds and/or invest in cash deposits and enter into financial contract(s) (derivative(s)) with Deutsche Bank relating to the bonds/deposits and a portfolio of bonds aimed at replicating the performance of the Index, in order to obtain the return on the Index.
