OP to open a private hospital in Tampere in summer 2016 - Seite 2

Extensive hospital facilities

The Tampere unit occupies almost 4,000 m² of the building. All of the hospital's services will be located in the two floors of the building in Kelloportaankatu street. The building will have three operating theatres, some 30 reception rooms and a rehabilitation gym. The hospital will have one or two MRI equipment and an X-ray and CBTC equipment that is used for imaging otorhinolaryngologic diseases and in odontology.

The recruitment process will begin towards the end of 2015. The hospital will employ some 100 professionals.

The Helsinki unit is planning to branch out into new special fields, such as cardiology, gynaecological diseases, urology, neurology and eye and internal diseases. These fields will become available in the Tampere unit when it opens its doors.

Establishing a unit in Tampere is the first phase in building a national hospital network. We also aim to establish units in Oulu, Kuopio and Turku.
