Casino.org, global authority on casinos and all things gambling online, has published an illustrated report that reveals Britain's most sports-obsessed regions and the healthiest (or least healthy) areas, finding that over 70% of the UK is watching sport regularly. Combining the two pursuits, a third of the UK's TV sports audience doesn't drink alcohol.

Casino.org has worked with international researcher OnePoll, gathering exclusive data in a survey of 2,000 people nationwide. Quizzed on its sports watching and lifestyle, regional differences in the UK soon emerge, with twice as many rugby fans in Wales (15%) as in Scotland (7%). In terms of serious sports dedication, nearly a third of people in Northern Ireland watch more than the equivalent of 3 football matches every week.

Staying healthy seems to prove popular, with over 94% of people in London and Yorkshire exercising for over 3 hours a week. And while 59% of Londoners might enjoy a weekly takeout, nearly 2/3 of Southerners don't get takeaways at all.

The poll reveals the snacking habits of the UK, with 2/3 of the population opting for foods such as chips, crisps and chocolate while they watch sports, and various regions tipping (or breaking) the scales with their takeaway, beer and cigarette consumption. Casino.org has found that the overall picture remains a little more complex.

The Casino.org Sports Health Poll was carried out between 5^th and 10^th July 2017 using a nationally representative online survey. Respondents were split between 1018 women and 982 men, with ages varying from 13 - 80.
