8x8 and Jabra Partner to Expand Work from Anywhere Capabilities

(NYSE: EGHT), a leading integrated cloud communications platform, today announced a partnership with Jabra to expand equipment offerings to include the Jabra BIZ, Engage, Evolve and UC VOICE mono and stereo headsets. The additional support for these headsets ensures companies can continue to use their preferred audio solutions with 8x8 cloud communications, video collaboration and contact center solutions.

In response to the dramatic increase in usage of 8x8’s desktop and mobile apps for voice, video conferencing, chat and contact center, as companies quickly move to work from home environments, 8x8 is enhancing support for headset capabilities to further enable this transition. Regardless of location or device, clear audio is the core of any effective business-related phone call or video meeting. Combining 8x8’s patented call quality and reliability with Jabra’s leading professional headsets for concentration and collaboration ensures employees have the communication capabilities they need to stay productive. Now, thirty-two models across the Jabra BIZ, Engage, Evolve and UC VOICE headset families can be used with 8x8 X Series, 8x8 Video Meetings and 8x8 Contact Center.

With this integration, joint customers will have a seamless experience when making and receiving calls using the 8x8 Virtual Office Desktop or Mobile applications and a Jabra headset. Users can answer, mute and disconnect 8x8 calls directly from their Jabra headsets with no further actions required in the 8x8 applications, for an experience that replicates the native phone application and business phones.
