Slate Retail REIT Announces the Purchase of Mooresville Consumer Square in North Carolina
TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - May 19, 2017) - Slate Retail REIT (TSX: SRT.U) (TSX: SRT.UN) (the "REIT"), an owner and operator of U.S. grocery-anchored real estate, announced today that it has entered into a binding agreement to acquire Mooresville Consumer Square (the "Property") for U.S. $51.3 million ($109 per square foot). The Property is 97% occupied, is Walmart-anchored and is located in the Charlotte Metropolitan Statistical Area. Closing is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2017 and remains subject to customary closing conditions.
