Premstaetten - Premstaetten, Austria (3 July 2017) - ams (SIX: AMS), a leading
worldwide supplier of high-performance sensor solutions, announces the
completion of the transaction to acquire 100% of the shares in Princeton
Optronics, Inc.

On 16 March 2017, ams announced that the company had signed an agreement to
acquire Princeton Optronics, Inc., a leading provider of high performance
Vertical Cavity Surface-Emitting Lasers (VCSELs) which offer specific
differentiation for mobile, consumer, automotive, and industrial applications.
VCSELs are specifically gaining traction in optical sensor solutions for
consumer 3D imaging, future autonomous driving applications and the Human
Machine Interface (HMI).
