CPSI (NASDAQ: CPSI), a community healthcare solutions company, announced today that three Montana hospitals – Mountainview Medical Center, Big Sandy Medical Center and Dahl Memorial Healthcare Association – have selected cloud-hosted electronic health record (EHR) solutions from Evident to replace their existing systems. In addition, RCM solutions from TruBridge will be used by all three facilities to complement the EHR. All three hospitals are expected to complete their implementation for both the inpatient hospital and clinic suite of products by the fourth quarter of 2019.

The dynamic nature and continued demands in healthcare delivery led all three facilities to pursue a new partner to meet their ongoing technology needs and to effectively manage business operations going forward. In addition to the stringent Promoting Interoperability (PI) requirements for 2020, the need for EHR system adoption by providers and other clinicians to improve patient outcomes and utilization was also a factor. In addition, rural facilities continue to face challenges with patient volume, making it imperative to find ways to maximize reimbursement and improve cash flow by leveraging revenue cycle management tools and services.

“As a current TruBridge RCM customer, we already knew the benefits and financial impact to our business,” said Rob Brandt, chief executive officer of Mountainview Medical Center. “By choosing to go back to Evident after leaving in 2016, we are also confident in their EHR capabilities to help us meet regulatory requirements and timelines without feeling rushed and ensure quality care to the patients we see every day.”

“The functionality of the product was key for us,” said Leah Griffith, chief executive officer of Big Sandy Medical Center. “Following the demonstrations, our medical director penned a letter to our board of directors showing her support in selecting Evident. When physicians like an EHR solution, you know it is the right choice.”

“Partnering with CPSI gives us the unique opportunity to work with one company with solutions that span multiple care settings,” said Ryan Tooke, chief executive officer of Dahl Memorial Healthcare Association. “With both a hospital and affiliated nursing home, having EHR capabilities that address both unique points of care was very attractive to us.”

“The products and services offered through the CPSI family of companies help ensure that our customers are in the best position possible to succeed in healthcare delivery and address the unique needs of rural and community healthcare,” said Boyd Douglas, president and chief executive officer of CPSI. “There is no stronger testament to our commitment to advancing community healthcare than these three facilities choosing to partner with CPSI.”
