ARQUANA AG takes over traditional printer, WUB, in Innsbruck

Neumünster, May 10, 2007 - The print holding company, ARQUANA InternationalPrint & Media AG (ISIN DE0006781008), takes over the WagnerscheUniversitätsdruckerei (WUB) in Innsbruck (Austria) from insolvency as ofMay 31, 2007 within the framework of an asset deal. The contract is subjectto the approval of the Austrian competition authorities as well as variousconditions which, among others, the city of Innsbruck, as the owner of theheritable building rights, must fulfil. The parties agreed not to disclosethe purchase price. The jobs at the Innsbruck location will remain.

The web offset printer, WUB, is a traditional Tyrolese company with a 400year history which generated revenues of EUR 22 million in 2006 under poorcapacity utilisation. The technical capacities suffice for a revenue volumeof approximately EUR 30 million. As an Austrian location, the companybelonged to the Schmelzle group (Waiblingen) which recently went intoinsolvency. The company thereupon had to declare insolvency itself on April4, 2007.

ARQUANA COO, Bodo F. Schmischke, and the managing director of the SochorGroup, Andreas Walka, take over the management at WUB. The previousmanaging director at WUB, Günter Kristen, will be taken up into the newmanagement.
