Eigentlich hätte man die schon viel früher im Portfolio haben
können, da sie zusammen mit anderen Unternehmen von der
Europäischen Union unterstützt werden bzgl der critical raw
materials Initiativen für wichtig hält und näher für eine
Förderung ins Auge fasste. und schon 2022 gab es gemeinsamen
Aktivitäten von Greenland Ressources und der EU (entweder über
EIT RAW Materials oder das ERMA-Thema):

EIT RAW Materials hat sich am Projekt bereits mit 500k Equity
beteiligt, das ist natürlich nicht wirklich viel:

in der gestrigen gross angekündigten Europäischen Critical Raw
Materials Strategie wird dann auch Greenland Resources explizit
erwähnt, aber was da genau gefördert wird, oder ob das nicht
schon längst erledig ist, keine Ahnung. Die EU verkauft ja auch
die 1 mrd des deutschen Rohstoff Fonds als Bestandteil der gross
angekündigten 3mrd Euro….mal wieder typisch…

in 2024 hat man die Lizenzen in Grönland beantragt,
mittlerweile sind diese genehmigt worden.

COPENHAGEN, June 19 (Reuters) - Greenland on Thursday handed a
30-year permit to a European Union-backed project that aims to
mine molybdenum, a critical metal used in aerospace, energy and
defence and on which China has imposed export controls.
The resource-rich Arctic island has seen rising activity in its
mining sector over the past month, after U.S. President Donald
Trump expressed an interest in purchasing it earlier this year.
The permit was granted to Toronto-listed Greenland Resources

licence to the Malmbjerg project in eastern Greenland, the
country's government said in a statement.
The open pit Malmbjerg mine can produce an average 32.8 million
pounds of concentrated molybdenum per year, potentially supplying
around 25% of Europe's molybdenum use, according to the company.
Molybdenum is a silvery-white metal used primarily to strengthen
steel and improve its resistance to heat and corrosion, making it
critical for industrial applications such defence and clean
energy.

investment. The Company has now signed letters of intent and
offtake agreements for the long term supply of molybdenum with EU
steel and chemical companies in Germany, Italy, Belgium, Austria,
Sweden, Denmark and Finland and with a roaster and processor in
Belgium and Germany. These agreements include a take or pay
10-year offtake agreement on approximately US$1.8b of molybdenum
oxide with Outokumpu, the largest stainless steel company in
Europe and second largest in North America. The Company has also
signed high quality letters of intent with main European export
credit agencies like EKN, FInnvera, EIFO and Canadian EDC to
support the approximately 70% debt part of the bankable
feasibility capex (approximately US$700M)."
