Adler Modemärkte AG: ADLER increases H1 revenue by 5 percent - Seite 2
18,510,000 no-par value shares, the adjusted earnings per share amounts to
EUR -0.28 (previous year: EUR 0.08).
Comparable growth and positive earnings indicators in Q2
In Q2 2015, revenue increased by 7.4% to EUR 153.3 million. On a
like-for-like basis, growth amounted to 2.2%. Due to the extraordinary
expenditures mentioned above, EBITDA decreased by some 5% from EUR 18.5
million in the same period of the previous year to EUR 17.5 million. EBIT
totalled EUR 13.5 million, representing a 7% decrease as compared to Q2
2014 (EUR 14.6 million).
"Despite the difficult market environment, ADLER once again significantly
outperformed the overall industry trend", underscored ADLER CEO Lothar
Schäfer. "The Company's growth, including on a like-for-like basis, and its
positive earnings figures in the second quarter demonstrate its excellent
growth potential. Therefore, we are confident that we will continue on this
path of profitable growth in the current financial year."
Forecast confirmed: further profitable growth expected
Based on the increase in revenue in the first half of 2015, ADLER continues
to consider revenue growth in the mid-single-digit percentage range to be
realistic for the overall year. ADLER's comments on EBITDA remain
unchanged: due to prepayments and expenses for integrating the Kressner
stores acquired, we expect EBITDA to stagnate at best at the already high
level, and to possibly decline slightly. In the medium term, however, the
Executive Board expects the expansion measures currently being undertaken
to strengthen ADLER and to lead to further profitable growth.
