Encavis' data protection and information security management system certified
Hamburg, May 5, 2021 - MDAX-listed wind and solar park operator Encavis AG (ISIN: DE0006095003, Prime Standard, Ticker symbol: ECV) received a certificate from VdS Schadenverhütung GmbH, a
company of the German Insurance Association (GDV), a certificate for the group-wide data protection management system in accordance with VdS 10010 VdS Guidelines for the Implementation of the
German Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO) and for the group-wide information security management system in accordance with VdS 10000 Information Security Management System for SMEs (small- and
medium-sized companies).
As part of the realignment of Encavis AG's IT strategy, these two certifications are each further milestones within a continuous improvement process. Encavis continually questions its own actions
in order to adequately adapt IT security and data protection to changing circumstances. The rapid increase in global cyber crime requires strengthened defense systems and independent back-up
solutions at all IT levels, just in case. With the certification, Encavis documents the establishment of the high security standard of the insurance industry.
Due to the pandemic, the final on-site inspection for certification could only be completed a few weeks ago. The technical requirements of the IT security systems and the corresponding management systems in compliance with the German Data Protection Act had already been checked the previous year.
"Nowadays, IT security systems are as important as the company's safe used to be. Encavis has a very high security standard, which has been confirmed once again by the certification that has now
taken place," said Dr. Dierk Paskert, CEO of Encavis AG, underlining the Group's sustained investment in IT security and data protection.
