In the fall of 2005 and in January 2006, Teck Cominco Minera and Sonora Gold Corp. signed joint venture agreements on the San Enrique Option Lands, a Copper/Molybdenum/Gold prospect in Sonora State, Mexico. Teck Cominco has the right to earn up to a 70% interest in this 8,500 hectare prospect by spending up to US $7 million on the property under various terms and conditions. Sonora Gold currently owns a 100% interest in the San Enrique Option Lands. All costs associated with the property are covered by Teck Cominco, the project operator. To date 4400 meters of exploration drilling has been completed on the property; 2000 meters previously undertaken by Sonora Gold and approximately 1200 meters undertaken by Teck Cominco since December 2005. Continuing work on these San Enrique Option Lands has identified a minimum of 5 anomalous areas of interest which are currently being assessed. Exploration work completed by Teck Cominco at the San Enrique project in 2006 includes geological mapping at a scale of 1:2500, field review of magnetic anomalies, dating of intrusive rocks, rock sampling, mapping of vein density and structural analysis of the main target area. Teck Cominco also completed a five hole, 1,216 m diamond drill program on the San Enrique project. The objective was to drill test the Cu-Mo (Au) “Nacho Libre” target defined earlier at the main San Enrique area. The target area is represented by widespread quartz veining with strongly anomalous Cu-Mo mineralization coincident with a magnetic high. Detailed mapping of the main Greta area as well as minor new rock sampling was also completed during the summer. An exploration proposal is being prepared for 2007, which will include continued exploration of the Au target at Greta and possibly some additional work on the “Nacho Libre” Mo-Cu target located west of the gold occurrence at Greta. Teck Cominco commenced working on the San Enrique Option Lands in late 2005.
In 2005, Sonora Gold undertook a 16 hole drill program to test the potential of the San Enrique. The program included ore grade copper, molybdenum and silver intercepts including 27.6 meters grading 0.148% Mo, 0.0308% Cu, and 6.7gpt Silver. Within this interval, 5.3 meters graded 0.454% Mo, 0.92% Cu and 21.3 gpt Silver.
GEOLOGY & PAST WORK
The San Enrique project area is considered to have excellent exploration potential. The combination of flat-lying, favourable host rocks, regional hornfels and skarn development, strongly anomalous Au, Ag and Cu from soil geochemistry, and the presence of multiple intrusive bodies, are all considered to be to be suggestive of a large system, and to be highly favorable indications of the exploration potential. Prominent linear trends evident in the soil geochemical data indicate the presence of several through-going structures that represent excellent exploration targets.
The potential significance of the San Enrique project was initially highlighted by regional soil geochemistry which revealed an approximately 4 kilometre diameter, roughly circular geochemical anomaly defined by highly elevated Au, Ag, Cu, Mo, and Zn, with anomalously low As and Sb. Subsequent regional mapping in this area revealed a broad, domal structure cored by shallowlydipping limestone, calcareous siltstone, and sandstone of the Mural Formation. These rocks contain pervasive ductile deformation structures, regional hornfels (± skarn), and have been intruded by the Las Panoches granite pluton, and numerous dykes and sills ranging in composition from diorite through granodiorite, leucotonalite and granite, with abundant lamprophyre. This dome is structurally overlain by Morita Formation purple siltstone and sandstone, which lack ductile deformation structures, hornfels, and intrusive rocks.
Mapping by Anderson (Anderson and Hamilton, 2000) indicated that around the margins of the dome, ductile, bedding-parallel mylonitic fabrics in the Mural Formation dip shallowly outwards from the centre of the dome, and everywhere record top to the southwest non-coaxial shear. The contact between the Mural and Morita Formations along the margins of the dome is marked by a very sharp, brittle fault that has a shallow dip and occurs at the base of a zone of poorly consolidated breccia that ranges in thickness up to approximately 100 metres. Collectively, these features are interpreted to indicate that the dome represents a tectonic window through a low-angle detachment fault that probably formed during development of the Magdalena metamorphic core complex located approximately 20 kilometres to the west.
The San Enrique Option Lands also include the Greta property. The Greta property comprises 954 hectares and lies nine kilometres southeast of the main past-producing gold properties at Santa Gertrudis. Several near-surface bulk tonnage gold occurrences were drilled off by previous operators on the Greta property including the La Gloria, Greta, Ontario, Tracy and El Tigre. The Greta property is also considered to have excellent potential for hosting deeper, high-grade Carlin-style mineralization due to the spatial coincidence of several favourable geological, structural, geochemical and geophysical criteria, including:
Proximal intrusive bodies, as indicated by the presence of aeromagnetic anomalies with coincident, regionally developed aureoles of quartz-pyrite hornfels, marble and skarn;
Substantial thicknesses (>300 meters) of favourable stratigraphy;
Clearly-defined, high-angle feeder structures that intersect the favourable stratigraphic units near the intrusive bodies;
The presence of sedimentary rock-hosted, disseminated gold occurrences at the margins of the hornfels aureoles;
Strongly anomalous gold, arsenic, mercury, silver and copper indicated by soil geochemistry.
In October 1998, Campbell drilled two reverse circulation drill holes (CIR 101, totaling 126.0m and ROS-101, totaling 147.0m) in the San Enrique target area. Both of these drill holes are situated along the northeast margin of the tectonic window, and were targeted on 27 zones of strongly hornfelsed siltstone coincident with highly anomalous Au in soils (Santa Gertrudis Project W.S. Hamilton Geological Consulting Ltd.). Both of these drill holes were significantly anomalous in Au, Cu, and Zn; however, the only significant gold value obtained was 2.108 grams/tonne over 1.5 metres from 88.5 to 90.0 metres in ROS-101. No additional drill holes were completed by Campbell due to a dispute with the local surface-rights owner.
Zusätzlich ist ein Spring 2007 Drilling in Kanada geplant (1% Cu, 0.4 oz AU samples)

Its very rare you see SPROTT on the bid side buying at near market price as they did here on SGG today at .16 cents 100K.
I for one follow the smart money and when SPROTT is buying you can bet your rearend this little nugget will be moving on upwards and has the goods.
I always get excited when I see SPROTT buying in the open market and now its just a matter of time before this explodes.
SPROTT does not invest in losers, this is clearly forming into a winner

Gestern war es eine erstklassige Nachkaufgelegenheit die ich bei 0,075 noch mit 20000 shares ausgenutzt habe. Ich bin gespannt wo uns diese Rakete hinbringt.
