Financial

Historically, Medical Services International has shown an increase in revenue and has been profitable each of the last five years. Each year has shown an increase in profits as new divisions have been brought on stream.
The financial results obtained to date from medical operations have been a result of "word of mouth", as individuals who have been treated by our staff at our facilities have told others about the excellent level of health care that they received.

Tuberculosis
VScan rapid test kit for Tuberculosis (TB) is the only TB test kit that measures ONLY ACTIVE TB. There are NO false positives with the VScan TB rapid test kits. Previous testing has shown that the VScan TB test kit has a sensitivity of 80% and a specificity of 100%. These results substantially exceed the accuracy of any other existing TB tests.

Existing TB tests routinely produce false positives when a person has previously been vaccinated against TB using some of the vaccines available. This results in further testing that is expensive, stressful to the individual and time consuming. The VScan TB test kit is the only known test kit for TB that measures only ACTIVE TB and has no false positives.

Other innovative products are in various stages of development

All of these products are based on the immunoassay test principle and are designed for the initial screening of human antibodies to a specific disease in human blood, serum or plasma. In addition, with the HIV test kit, there is also a saliva and urine format kit available. With all test kits, if a positive (or inconclusive) test is produced a secondary, confirmatory test (such as Western Blot or ELISA) is required.

Increasingly whole blood (as opposed to serum or plasma) is the preferred test media for testing because it allows the test to be performed without additional laboratory equipment (centrifuge). This means the kit can be used anywhere!

Medical Services Files SDA Application and Initiates Live Testing in China

EDMONTON, Alberta, Nov. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Medical Services International Inc. (Pinksheets: MSITF - News) is pleased to announce that its progress in the People`s Republic of China has moved forward very quickly. Medical Services is the first Company that has signed an agreement with a Chinese Distribution Company that has a Distribution License to distribute HIV1&2 test kits. Test kits for HIV cannot be sold in China without a distribution license even if approval by regulatory agencies is received.

The Company has filed its application with the SDA in China for full approval of its VScan HIV 1&2 test kit. Medical Services is the only HIV test kit that has applied for approval based on both HIV 1&2. The Company`s test kit uses whole blood, serum and plasma and does not require refrigeration, specialized medical equipment or trained medical personnel as many of the other kits currently available. This makes it ideal for testing in remote areas.

Live testing using whole blood has started and is expected to be completed in three weeks. The excellent results obtained from the live testing in Florida have been reviewed in China and the Company has been told that the officials reviewing the data were very impressed with the results and methodology. In China there will be up to 1000 individuals tested. The Company has been advised by senior government officials that whole blood is the preferred method of testing as it can be done on the spot with immediate results. There is no potential for contamination that can occur when testing is done using serum and/or plasma.

The letter of intent from the Chinese Health Management Organization (HMO) announced on October 9, 2003 has now been expanded to include hospitals in 12 provinces. The Company has been informed that this could easily represent a potential first year volume of 3,000,000 to 5,000,000 HIV test kits.

Medical Services International Increases Distribution Network By an Additional 31 New Distributors

The new distributors must purchase a minimum of 1,000,000 Vscan test kits in 2004 in order to maintain their distributorships.

As a further development in the People`s Republic of China, Medical Services has been asked to immediately ship Hepatitis B test kits for independent testing by regulatory authorities. In the recent trip to China, the Company was informed by Senior Chinese officials that the infectious rate for Hep B has been as high as 30% during testing and that they have no reliable rapid test for Hepatitis B available to them. Medical Services has developed a very accurate test kit for Hepatitis B. The Company feels that there is no other rapid test kit for Hep B currently on the market that is comparable to the Vscan Hep B test kit. (Pinksheets: MSITF - News) is pleased to announce that it has signed a contract with a Mexican medical distribution Company. In the contract the company has agreed to assemble and distribute the VScan rapid test kits in Mexico from their existing facilities. As part of the contract, the Mexican Company has agreed to pay Medical Services $200,000US in advance as a setup fee. This facility will have the capacity to produce up to 8,000,000 kits per year.

As well as being the exclusive distributor for Mexico, this facility will supply under contract VScan test kits to Central and South America distributors as well as support Medical Services distributors in the United States once regulatory approval is received. Based on market studies that have been completed for Mexico it is reasonable to expect that Mexico alone will need at least 2.0 million kits per year.

Es hagelt weiter news mit unterschiedlichem shareholdervalue, es werden Produktionen in China angekündigt, die dazugehörige Zulassung dort scheint bevorzustehen. Tests finden jetzt auch in Europa statt.

Things that need clarification:

1. Audited financials are late: Company says they are still working on them and will be out shortly. Both positive and negative speculation on this,
Negative: Since the financials are late, there has been a cease trading order by the Ontario Securities Commission which currently prevents Ontario residents to trade the stock. The only PR I found today read as follows: TORONTO, ONTARIO, Dec 5, 2003 (CCNMatthews via COMTEX) -- The Cease Trading Order issued on November 25, 2003 will continue December 5, 2003. While this caused a little initial pull back people soon figured out it had very little meaning as all the trading takes place on the pinks and PPS has continued its march North as much as 400% from day of PR.
Positive: The financials could contain some very good news including sales figures not previously reported, possible SEC filing etc. etc.

2. OS as per last filing is 779,293,853, however it has been rumored that OS may be as high as 2,000,000,000, company has said this will be clarified in next financial.

es vergeht fast kein Tag ohne PR zu MSITF.
Zwar sind die Inhalte nicht immer kursrelevant, alle warten auf die Explosion nach der China-Zulassung des HIV-Schnelltests.
Heute geht es um klinische Tests mit dem Tuberkulose-Schnelltest, den ich für einen absoluten blockbuster halte. Es gibt bisher kaum Konkurrenz, die anderen diagnostischen Verfahren sind wesentlich ungenauer und die Erkrankung ist ein relevantes weltweites Problem.
Ähnlich sieht es mit dem Schnelltest für West Nile Virus und Dengue Fever aus.
Bei HIV und Hep B / Hep C sind die Konkurrenz und der Preiskampf sicher größer.

The Chinese regulatory agencies requires companies that are applying for approval of their HIV test kits to complete testing of 2000 kits in 8 different provinces in China.

The Company was informed of the last location this week and has shipped the required amount of test kits to complete the test. Testing per location takes approximately 2 to 3 weeks. While the testing has been going on, the Company scientists have been working with officials in Beijing to complete all required documentation related to the test kits. Of the tests completed to date, the Company has achieved an overall sensitivity of 99.6% and specificity of 99.9%. The regulations require that test kits achieve an overall accuracy of 99%. We have met this requirement. Our testing has been done using whole blood, serum and plasma. Testing has been done in government approved laboratories. Live testing has been carried out in several locations. We have been informed by government officials that our test results were better than all other testing done on HIV test kits for all of 2003. No other kit exceeded 98% accuracy.

In addition to the above, the testing done in drug rehabilitation centers continues to go extremely well. The testing completed in China will be used to supplement the testing completed in the United States, related to the filing with regulatory agencies in the U.S. The number of tests completed in China gives additional credibility to the U.S. testing.

(Pinksheets: MSITF - News) is pleased to announce that it has received the latest results from the testing of its VScan TB rapid test kit in the People`s Republic of China. The test results show that the VScan rapid test kit had specificity of 100% which means no false positives and a sensitivity of 91.18%. The results that were obtained using the VScan TB test kit exceeded any of the results that were obtained through conventional testing at a fraction of the cost. The Chinese officials who conducted the testing were very impressed with the results. Currently the People`s Republic of China does not have a set standard that is required for approval of a TB test kit. Based on the results that have been obtained using the VScan TB test kit, the Company has been informed by health care officials that the results by the VScan rapid test kit for TB will now be used as the standard for TB testing in China. This means that no other rapid test kit for TB will be used in China unless it can meet or exceed our results. The Company is very comfortable that there are no other tests available that can achieve the test results of the VScan rapid test kit for TB.

The Company is currently completing testing of the VScan Rapid test kit for TB in Europe and other countries in Asia. Preliminary results from these locations are also showing excellent test results. Further the Company is pleased to announce that the facility has received regulatory approval for its Quality Assurance Certificate related to ISO9001:2000/ ISO 13485: 2003, IVDD 98/79/EC. die sehnsüchtig erwartete meldung von der vscan-hiv-zulassung in china ist also da, der kurs ist auf dem wege nach norden, wenn auch langsamer als erhofft.
vor einem jahr bei der zulassung für peru (!!!?) war es ganz ähnlich, der kurs lief in 1 1/2 wochen bis 0,018 $.
ich denke, dass es diese mal höher gehen wird, da noch mehr hochkarätige meldungen erwartet werden (tbc-test-zulassung, jahreszahlen, erträge !!).
es ist also noch zeit einzusteigen !!!
kurzfristig sind 100-200% drin, langfristig sicher noch mehr !

The Company has reached a distribution agreement with a large pharmaceutical company headquartered in Taiwan. The fact that the Company has received regulatory approval in the People`s Republic of China, India and Vietnam and has significant test data from S.E. Asia was instrumental in negotiating a deal that is very favorable to the Company. In order to maintain its distributorship the pharmaceutical company must purchase a minimum of 1,000,000 HIV test kits in the first year of the contract. The hospitals are located in southern China and have been involved in the testing that resulted in regulatory approval. These hospitals are very familiar with the VScan test kit and have been extremely pleased with the sensitivity and specificity of the VScan HIV test kit as well as the ease of use. ABSTRACT

Background
The costs, benefits, and cost-effectiveness of screening for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) in health care settings during the era of highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) have not been determined.

Methods
We developed a Markov model of costs, quality of life, and survival associated with an HIV-screening program as compared with current practice. In both strategies, symptomatic patients were identified through symptom-based case finding. Identified patients started treatment when their CD4 count dropped to 350 cells per cubic millimeter. Disease progression was defined on the basis of CD4 levels and viral load. The likelihood of sexual transmission was based on viral load, knowledge of HIV status, and efficacy of counseling.

Results
Given a 1 percent prevalence of unidentified HIV infection, screening increased life expectancy by 5.48 days, or 4.70 quality-adjusted days, at an estimated cost of $194 per screened patient, for a cost-effectiveness ratio of $15,078 per quality-adjusted life-year. Screening cost less than $50,000 per quality-adjusted life-year if the prevalence of unidentified HIV infection exceeded 0.05 percent. Excluding HIV transmission, the cost-effectiveness of screening was $41,736 per quality-adjusted life-year. Screening every five years, as compared with a one-time screening program, cost $57,138 per quality-adjusted life-year, but was more attractive in settings with a high incidence of infection. Our results were sensitive to the efficacy of behavior modification, the benefit of early identification and therapy, and the prevalence and incidence of HIV infection.

Conclusions
The cost-effectiveness of routine HIV screening in health care settings, even in relatively low-prevalence populations, is similar to that of commonly accepted interventions, and such programs should be expanded.

The PSA test acts as a screening tool for cancer of the prostate.

Entweder machst du Swingtrading oder du bist Langfrist-Anleger, ansonsten muss man von der Performance der Aktie enttäuscht sein(Ich halte seit über einem Jahr). Der Kurs passt absolut nicht zu den Geschäftsaussichten und zu den bereits bestehenden Verträgen. Zu diesen Zahlen passt auch die heutige neue PR (siehe unten).
Ich bin mir sicher, dass ein Anleger , der heute kauft, in einem Jahr steuerfrei einen Ten-bagger kassieren könnte, vorausgesetzt die Aktie kann das "F" loswerden und wird eine besser kontrollier- und handelbare Aktie.
Das scheint jedoch derzeit nicht die Priorität von Herrn Talbot zu sein. Zumindest gibt es jetzt endlich mal Verkaufs- und Umsatzzahlen zu China. Vielleicht schaffen wir es heute mal über 0,005 $ ?

Medical Services Increases Contracts and Orders in China

(Pinksheets: MSITF - News) is pleased to announce that it has received additional contracts and orders in China. The Company now has confirmed orders and contracts to supply 4.8 million VScan HIV test kits in the next year. This represents approximately 5% of the current market in China. These test kits will generate revenues of $10,896,000 US in the fiscal period from July 1, 2005 to June 30, 2006. The Company expects this amount to increase as the accuracy and ease of use of our test kits becomes common knowledge.

In addition to those milestones achieved in December and January, here is a summary of recent announcements and accomplishments made by the Company since the beginning of this month (March 1, 2005):



1. Chinese officials have granted the Company a contract to supply 10
Chinese Provinces with 3.6 million VScan HIV 1&2 test kits per year,
for the next three years. This contract has a total value of
US$25.5 million, based on an assessment of the contract performed by
an independent accounting firm. In addition, the assessment also
revealed that Medical Services would realize $4,331,000 in gross
profit per year from the sale of those 3.6 million kits.

2. The Company has been asked by Chinese officials to submit its TB,
Dengue Fever, Hepatitis B and Malaria test kits for regulatory
approval. The Company anticipates that it will receive approval of at
least the VScan TB test kit early in Quarter 1 of the upcoming new
fiscal year.

3. The Company has begun shipping its VScan TB Rapid Test Kits to Chinese
hospitals on an experimental basis. Currently both the TB and
Hepatitis B test kits are being evaluated.

As a result of these recent accomplishments, Medical Services is now issuing the following projections:


1. As the Company`s HIV Test Kit program becomes active, and hospitals
utilizing the kits are reporting positive reviews, Medical Services
anticipates acquiring additional contracts for the kits from those
provinces not included in the initial ten provinces designated by
Chinese officials.

2. Based on all of the Company`s existing contracts, plus additional
orders that have been recently placed by Chinese agencies and by other
parties, Medical Services is now projecting gross sales of
approximately US$10.9 million for the upcoming fiscal year scheduled
to begin July 1, 2005.

3. Should approval of the Company`s TB test kits be achieved in Quarter 1
of the upcoming fiscal year, it is reasonable to expect that the
Company will generate an additional $2.5 million in sales from the
VScan TB test kit.

The Company has high expectations for steadily increasing orders and contracts from China over the next three years. In addition, recent regulatory approvals in India, Nigeria, Congo, and 10 other countries for the VScan HIV test kits, lead Medical Services to estimate that it will most likely need to produce in excess of 6.5 million test kits to fulfill orders in the next fiscal year. The Company is currently seeking approval for its kits in 19 additional countries worldwide.

Medical Services Completes Evaluation of Its VScan Dengue Fever Test Kit

Medical Services International Inc. (Pinksheets: MSITF) is pleased to announce that it has had an opportunity to evaluate its Dengue Fever rapid test kits in a clinical setting and then re-evaluate the same test kits in a laboratory setting. The kits were originally used in a clinical setting by medical staff. Once the kits were used they were then re-evaluated in the lab to check for accuracy. This test took place in south east Asia. The results showed that the VScan Dengue Fever kits were 100% accurate with 100% sensitivity.

There are 4 different strains of Dengue Fever and the results showed that the VScan test kit has the ability to detect all 4 of the different strains. Infection from one strain of Dengue Fever does not give immunity from the 3 other strains. This is the reason that it is important that the VScan test kit have the ability to detect all 4 strains.

The test data obtained from this particular study will be important in the marketing of the Dengue Fever test kits.

Dengue Fever is transmitted by mosquitoes and depending on the strain can be fatal. Successful treatment of Dengue Fever depends on early detection. The normal test for Dengue Fever takes up to a week or more to get test results. The VScan Dengue Fever kit gives results in under 20 minutes.

Medical Services Moves Into Russia

(Pinksheets: MSITF - News) is pleased to announce that its VScan HIV and TB rapid test kits have been accepted for registration by regulatory authorities in Russia. In Russia there is a significant HIV/AIDS problem as well as a very serious TB problem. The key to attempting to control these problems is early detection through rapid test kits as in VScan rapid test kits.

In terms of TB test kits, the VScan TB rapid test kit is the most accurate test on the market and gives no false positives. It is the only TB test that gives NO false positives.

On March 24, 2005 ("World TB Day") it was reported out of Geneva and New York by "Doctors Without Borders" that development of simple and rapid diagnostic tools are the key to fighting Tuberculosis (TB). Medical Services Awarded Additional $25 Million Contract for its VScan HIV Test Kits

EDMONTON, Alberta, April 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Medical Services International Inc. announced today that it has been awarded a US$25 million contract from the Federal Government of Nigeria for its VScan HIV 1&2 Test Kits.

The Government of Nigeria recently issued a tender notice for eligible companies to submit proposals to supply its health sector with HIV test kits. This procurement contract was an upshot of the $120 million loan recently awarded to Nigeria from the World Bank for improvement of the Country`s Health, Educational and Agricultural Sectors. Of the $120 million, 25 million has been allocated for the supply of HIV/AIDS test kits. The fact that the VScan HIV test kit was recently awarded full NAFDAC registration and approval in Nigeria was instrumental in Medical Services receiving this contract.
