BioVie Set to Join the Russell 2000 and Russell 3000 Indexes

CARSON CITY, Nev., June 23, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- BioVie Inc., (NASDAQ: BIVI) (“BioVie” or the “Company”) a clinical-stage company developing innovative drug therapies for the treatment of neurological and neurodegenerative disorders and advanced liver disease, today announced that the Company will be added as a member of the US small-cap Russell 2000 and Russell 3000 Indexes, effective after the US market opens on June 26, as part of the 2023 Russell indexes reconstitution. Membership in the Russell 2000 Index, which remains in place for one year, is based on membership in the broad-market Russell 3000 Index. The stock also was automatically added to the appropriate growth and value indexes.

Annual reconstitution of Russell's U.S. indexes captures the 4,000 largest U.S. stocks as of the end of May, ranking them by total market capitalization. The Russell 3000 Index serves as the U.S. component to the Russell Global Index, and the Russell 2000 Index is a subset of the smallest 2,000 components of the Russell 3000 Index.
