Drs. Stowe and Serralde will be treating chronic heart failure patients with the stem cells being directly infused into the tissue to increase the function of the heart. The human clinical study will conform to FDA standards as a Phase 1 study, and this is the first time in the world that bone marrow concentrate containing all active forms of adult stem cells will be used on human patients.

die Studie (die ja erst noch durchzuführen ist) so zu gestalten dass sie mit den Richtlinien der FDA konform ist. Das ist EINE Voraussetzung für die spätere Genehmigung.

der kurssprung ist schon gewaltig, laedt zum verkauf ein. ist eben die frage was wirklich an der ganzen geschichte dran ist. fuer skeptiker=finger weglassen, fuer zocker=einfach kaufen und ein stop limit reinlegen. wer nicht wagt der nicht gewinnt. das ganze gepushe finde ich auch uebertrieben, allerdings ist es doch auch sehr informativ. wer bei pennystock irgendwelche fundamentals sucht um den kurs zu begruenden, hat diesen speziellen markt mit seinen risiken und chancen ohnehin nicht verstanden.

Es gibt mindestens ein anderes Unternehmen (das übrigens im regulären Segment der Nasdaq notiert ist, wo etwas genauer hingeschaut wird, als im OTCBB-Bereich )
das bereits nachgewiesenermaßen eine von der FDA genehmigte klinische Erprobung ihres Produktes begonnen hat.
Das Produkt beruht auf aus Knochenmark (bone marrow) gewonnenen adulten Stammzellen.
Hier ist also nicht nur eine Absichtserkärung des Unternehmens da, eine solche klinische Erprobung fda-konform zu beantragen, sondern tatsächlich eine Genehmigung der FDA zur Erprobung ("approved by.." s,u.)
Eine solche Firma ist z.B. AAstrom (ASTM, Nasdaq).
Ich habe weder Aktien von denen, noch gedenke ich welche zu kaufen, noch soll dies eine Kaufempfehlung darstellen.

(Nasdaq: ASTM - News) today announced it will initiate a human clinical trial for the evaluation of the Company`s Tissue Repair Cell (TRC) product to form new bone tissue in the spine. The Phase I/II trial will be conducted under an Investigational New Drug (IND) application approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and initially conducted at a single clinical center, the William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI (Beaumont Hospital). Aastrom`s TRCs, a proprietary bone marrow-derived adult stem cell product, will be used in posterior-lateral lumbar spinal fusions for treatment of degenerative spondylolisthesis. This is the Company`s second FDA-approved, human clinical trial for local bone regeneration using TRCs.

This spine fusion clinical trial will be conducted under the direction of Principal Investigator Harry Herkowitz, M.D., Department Chair of Orthopedic Surgery at Beaumont Hospital. Spine fusion is a procedure in which new bone tissue is induced to fuse two or more vertebrae together to treat conditions such as fractures of the vertebrae, or ruptured or lost disks. Current therapy uses surgically transplanted bone tissue, as well as other artificial bone materials and bone growth factors, to induce the growth of new bone tissue. Aastrom proposes to use its TRCs in combination with a carrier matrix to induce sufficient bone growth to fuse or merge two vertebrae in the lower back, and potentially eliminate the requirement for other more invasive or less effective approaches. By stabilizing the spine, this procedure reduces debilitating back pain, and helps a patient regain more normal use of their legs. The primary purpose of this approved clinical trial is to confirm that Aastrom`s TRC product, when used as a bone graft, is safe for use in posterior-lateral lumbar spinal fusion surgery, and is able to generate new bone at the fusion site, based on defined radiographic and clinical data.

ITEM 2. MANAGEMENT DISCUSSION AND ANALYSIS
Results of Operations
On March 30, 2005 we sold our only operating subsidiary, Hana Pearl, LLC, to the individual from whom we acquired it in 2001. In those three years we had been unable to obtain the financing necessary to expand the operations of Hana Pearl to a degree that it would be appropriate for that business to be part of a public company. Accordingly, we exchanged the subsidiary for shares of our common stock that had a market value equal to approximately 250% of the book value of Hana Pearl.
The results of operations of Hana Pearl have been recorded as "Discontinued Operations." Accordingly we report no revenue from continuing operations, and a loss from continuing operations equal to the administrative cost of maintaining our public company. Until we initiate or acquire a new business, our results of operations will have this structure.
We intend to negotiate for one or more acquisitions of operating businesses or properties, preferably in fields with which our President is familiar. Any acquisition that we make is likely to involve the issuance of a large number of shares of capital stock. If, in the alternative, we initiate a new business, it will be likewise likely that we will finance the new operations by selling a large number of shares of capital stock.
Liquidity and Capital Resources
The Company has no operating assets and $56,345 in liabilities, all but $800 of which are owed to our President. Our President will continue to fund the administrative expenses of our business until we initiate or acquire a new business operation.
Off-Balance Sheet Arrangements

ITEM 2. MANAGEMENT DISCUSSION AND ANALYSIS
Results of Operations
On March 30, 2005 we sold our only operating subsidiary, Hana Pearl, LLC, to the individual from whom we acquired it in 2001. In those three years we had been unable to obtain the financing necessary to expand the operations of Hana Pearl to a degree that it would be appropriate for that business to be part of a public company. Accordingly, we exchanged the subsidiary for shares of our common stock that had a market value equal to approximately 250% of the book value of Hana Pearl.
The results of operations of Hana Pearl have been recorded as "Discontinued Operations." Accordingly we report no revenue from continuing operations, and a loss from continuing operations equal to the administrative cost of maintaining our public company. Until we initiate or acquire a new business, our results of operations will have this structure.
We intend to negotiate for one or more acquisitions of operating businesses or properties, preferably in fields with which our President is familiar. Any acquisition that we make is likely to involve the issuance of a large number of shares of capital stock. If, in the alternative, we initiate a new business, it will be likewise likely that we will finance the new operations by selling a large number of shares of capital stock.
Liquidity and Capital Resources
The Company has no operating assets and $56,345 in liabilities, all but $800 of which are owed to our President. Our President will continue to fund the administrative expenses of our business until we initiate or acquire a new business operation.

Dann noch der Chart dazu, wo man schön sieht dass die Aktie alle paar Monate zu pump und dump Zwecken genutzt wurde, also kurzzeitig gepusht und dann wieder eingebrochen, (obwohl bzw. weil sie in 4 Jahren mit Hana-Pearl nix auf die Beine gekriegt hatten, laut letztem SEC Filing)
Mir ist völlig unverständlich, wie jemand das Ding überhaupt anfassen kann, nur auf vage Gerüchte und sinnentstellende Berichte in Pusher-Briefchen hin. Die ganzen SEC Filings sind doch öffentlich zugänglich.

Maui General Stores (bald Trinity BioGenics) - Neue Biotechrakete à la Cytori!
Berlin, 19.01.06. Die Wertpapierexperten von Small-Cap-News.de sehen in Trinity BioGenics ein chancenreiches Biotechnologieunternehmen, dass im Zuge eines indirekten Börsengangs, durch eine Fusion mit der börsennotierten amerikanischen Gesellschaft Maui General Stores (WKN: A0F60Y / ISIN: US5773441044) ins Rampenlicht der Öffentlichkeit tritt.
Das Thema Stammzellenforschung ist bei Investoren mittlerweile in aller Munde. Unternehmen, die sich mit dieser zukunftsweisenden Materie beschäftigen, konnten ihren Aktionären viel Freude bereiten. Beispielsweise konnte sich Cytori in nicht einmal einem Jahr vervierfachen! Aber das Leben und auch die Börse bietet risikobereiten Investoren immer wieder neue Chancen hohe Gewinne zu erzielen.

Einfach, aber genial: Man nutzt die Stammzellen des Patienten, der behandelt werden soll! Ein entscheidender medizinischer Vorteil besteht darin, dass eine Abwehrreaktion des Patienten auf die Stammzellen ausbleibt, da es sich um körpereigene Substanzen handelt. Ziel der Therapie ist die Bildung von neuem gesundem, körpereigenem Gewebe sowie die Selbstheilung der Organe durch die verabreichten körpereigenen Stammzellen. Zukünftige Anwendungsbereiche der von Trinity BioGenics angewandten Stammzellenforschung könnten neben Herzerkrankungen und Diabetes unter anderem auch Alzheimer, Arthritis sowie Multiple Sklerose sein.
Trinity BioGenics gab im November 2005 bekannt, dass die klinischen Studien mit den adulten Stammzellen in Mexico City begonnen haben. Patienten mit chronischem Herzfehler werden dort durch direkte Injizierung der Stammzellen ins Gewebe behandelt, um ihre Herzfunktion zu verbessern. Die amerikanische Gesundheitsbehörde FDA hat bei dieser Phase-1-Studie weltweit ERSTMALS genehmigt, dass Knochenmarkkonzentrat mit sämtlichen(!) aktiven Formen adulter Stammzellen bei menschlichen Patienten eingesetzt werden darf. Das ist ein wahrer Ritterschlag für Trinity! Die Ergebnisse dieser Studie bilden dann die Basis für ein vorklinisches Treffen mit der FDA, um die Behandlung auch in den USA zu genehmigen. Dank der Verpflichtung des renommierten Harvard-Mediziner Dr. May Jacobsen dürfte die Erfüllung dieser Auflagen keine Hürde darstellen.
Neben dem Stammzellenbereich forscht Trinity zudem im Bereich der Immuntherapie und der Biologischen Medizin. Ein Biotechunternehmen, das bereits ein Projekt in der ersten klinischen Testphase hat, ist normalerweise wesentlich(!) höher bewertet. Der Highflyer Cytori ist im Vergleich dazu schon rund 130(!) Mio. Euro schwer. Gelingt es Trinity BioGenics, sich nur einen kleinen Teil des milliardenschweren Kuchens im Bereich Stammzellen zu sichern, dürfte der Börsenwert des Unternehmens explodieren.
Jeder Fortschritt beim Hauptprojekt sollte sich positiv auf den Aktienkurs auswirken. Die Ergebnisse der Phase-1-Studie, die im vierten Quartal 2005 begonnen hat, dürften auch nicht mehr lange auf sich warten lassen. Sollte es wie erwartet nach der Fusion zu positiven Testergebnissen kommen, wäre ein starker Kursanstieg für uns die logische Konsequenz!
Die Experten von Small-Cap-News.de empfehlen die Aktie von Maui General Stores Inc. (bald Trinity BioGenics) daher mit einem ersten Kursziel von 0,35 Euro auf Sicht von 12 Monaten zum Kauf.
