So schreibt mir mal

Hi
Hier eine kleine Unternehmensbeschreibung:
BEA Systems, Inc. designs, develops, markets and supports software used by large organizations to enable and support their most critical business processes. The Company`s Enterprise Transaction Framework is an open, integrated middleware software platform for developing, deploying and managing distributed mission-critical computer software applications. The Company`s products are sold worldwide.

von meinen Gewinnen alles, was sie will.

Also auf weiter steigende Kurse!

TimesTen and BEA Form Alliance to Deliver Platform for Building Performance-Enabled, Next-Generation e-Commerce Sites
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 14, 2000--
TimesTen`s Front-Tier Dynamic Data Cache Integrates with BEA WebLogic Server for High-Performance E-Commerce Applications
TimesTen Performance Software today announced an alliance with BEA Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: BEAS), The E-Commerce Transactions Company(TM), to provide a software platform for building innovative, ultra-high performance e-commerce sites.
As part of the alliance, TimesTen has verified the compatibility of TimesTen Front-Tier(TM), the first dynamic data cache, with the BEA WebLogic Server(TM), which provides an industrial-strength set of services for building e-commerce applications based on the Java language and Sun`s new Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) platform.
Front-Tier operates as a dynamic data cache to an existing corporate database, managing an organization`s "hot" content at the front of a multi-tiered data infrastructure, bringing the data one or more computing tiers closer to the end user. Front-Tier features TimesTen`s unique in-memory database technology, powering dynamic data operations up to ten times faster than with a cached RDBMS.
Integrating Front-Tier with BEA WebLogic Server enables organizations to break through their current performance ceiling, speeding the delivery of deeply personalized, dynamic interactions that stand out from the crowd. Highly personalized Web sites ultimately are the ones that convert more browsers to buyers, generate more repeat business, and stimulate the greatest word-of-mouth publicity.
Powering many of the largest and most complex e-commerce sites today, BEA WebLogic Server is the recognized leader in the J2EE application server marketplace. The award-winning BEA WebLogic Server is designed for enterprise e-business applications that demand the flexibility and security of server-side components in Java, while supporting the scalability, performance, and high availability essential to mission-critical solutions.
"Caching has long been established as an excellent way to improve performance when accessing static content. Today, dynamic content is the key to maximizing visitor conversion and customer retention," said Joe Menard, president of the BEA E-Commerce Server Division. "When a back-end RDBMS is the sole source of dynamic data, the database quickly becomes the bottleneck for personalized interactions. Using in-memory database technology, like that in Front-Tier, as an intelligent data cache for a back-end RDBMS, will be extremely desirable to BEA`s high-volume e-commerce customers."
"This is a vital combination for TimesTen`s customers, as BEA is widely acknowledged as a powerhouse in Internet infrastructure," said James R. Groff, chief executive officer of TimesTen Performance Software. "By ensuring seamless compatibility, BEA WebLogic Server users will be able to take full advantage of our caching capabilities."

Hier die unglaublichen News von heute:KPN Royal Dutch Telecom and BEA Announce Multi-Million Dollar, Multi-Year Strategic Software Agreement
SAN JOSE, Calif., Feb. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- BEA Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: BEAS), The E-Commerce Transactions Company(TM) and KPN Royal Dutch Telecom today jointly announced the signing of a multi-million dollar, multi-year strategic contract. Under the terms of the contract, BEA has agreed to deliver its e-commerce transactions solutions to enable KPN to integrate many of its heterogeneous internal systems. In addition to Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) KPN will also implement other elements of the BEA E-Commerce Transaction Platform(TM) as part of the company`s strategic GAIA project.
"In 1998 we developed our distributed application integration architecture called GAIA, and studied XML, an essential element of GAIA. In 1999 we did a request for proposal of which BEA came out the clear leader. We then thoroughly tested BEA eLink(TM) and, using these tests, were able to build our own software on top of BEA eLink. Flexibility, performance, ability to integrate, as well as a good track record with BEA Tuxedo(R) in the past were the reasons to select BEA as our prime supplier," said John van Meurs, member of the KPN IT Office. "This year we will bring the GAIA architecture into operation to connect the main, existing applications via GAIA to our new e-Commerce application."
"This is an ambitious project that will help KPN maintain its technology leadership," said Bill Coleman, chairman and CEO of BEA Systems. "We are confident that our products, services and support will help KPN meet its goals and we are committed to making sure that BEA provides the support necessary to do so." BEA Systems, Inc.

Hi!

Welche Rolle spielt BEAS in diesem zusammenhang? Lets the good time role

SAN JOSE, Calif., March 8 /PRNewswire/ -- BEA Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: BEAS - news), The E-Commerce Transactions Company(TM), today announced that BuildPoint Corp., a Silicon Valley based e-commerce hub for the $3.2 trillion global construction industry, has built an innovative e-commerce marketplace for the procurement of construction materials, equipment and supplies on BEA WebLogic Server(TM). Launched today, this new Internet-based vertical marketplace follows on the heels of BuildPoint`s successful Web-based bid-management service, which has already created a market in subcontracts for construction projects that totals over $2 billion in value. Thanks to its Enterprise Java component-based architecture and rigorous support of Java and EJB standards, BEA WebLogic Server enabled BuildPoint to dramatically speed the development and deployment of its new e-commerce solution.
Net Market Maker for the Construction Industry
Market research firm Gartner Group attributes much of the predicted explosion in B2B e-commerce to companies like BuildPoint, or what it calls ``e-market makers`` -- organizations that establish Internet-based vertical marketplaces. According to Gartner Group, these Internet market makers will facilitate 37 percent, or $2.71 trillion, of B2B e-commerce transactions by 2004. One of the largest and most fragmented industries in every nation, (and the second largest industry in the U.S.) the construction industry is ripe for such a Web-based market to exchange information and buy and sell materials, equipment and supplies. According to 1999 data from the Construction Market Data Group (CMDG), in the U.S. alone, approximately 150,000 large-scale projects begin each year, resulting in 750 million bids.
Since Nov. 1, 1999, BuildPoint has provided the construction industry with its first Web-based marketplace solution. In its first 100 days of operation, BuildPoint. com`s Project Marketplace had already attracted thousands of estimators, project managers and contractors nationwide to rely on the secure commerce hub to manage their project bidding and procurement activities, lowering project costs and saving time. Now, having achieved significant momentum in the Project Marketplace, BuildPoint is introducing its second and even more ambitious Internet marketplace solution, the BuildPoint.com Product Marketplace.
First Mover Advantage Enabled by BEA WebLogic Server
``We are relying on BEA WebLogic Server for the most scalable and important part of our business model,`` said Andre Taube, BuildPoint Vice President of Engineering. ``Having successfully acquired the demand side of the marketplace equation, we are now set to provide the marketplace with the supply side. BEA WebLogic Server will help us continue to reap first mover advantage -- an essential key to success in this industry -- as well as provide the performance and scalability to handle potentially enormous growth in numbers of users and transactions.``
Using BEA WebLogic Server, BuildPoint is delivering its e-commerce marketplace solution for construction materials, equipment and supplies only three months after BuildPoint.com developers began to write code. BuildPoint.com developers used Java Server Pages for the presentation and application workflow layer and EJB for the application logic and database abstraction layer. This new Internet-based marketplace is the first of its kind in the construction industry.
``The project managers, general contractors, subcontractors, estimators, materials and equipment suppliers and others who will use our marketplaces care about two things: performance and functionality -- for instance, how fast they can view an RFQ (request for quote) or place an order, and what new features are being added,`` said Taube. ``The clustering capability of BEA WebLogic Server will help us provide the highest levels of speed and availability and ensure that our service is available no matter how many users access it. And because BEA maintains rigorous support for Java and EJB standards, we also know that down the road we will be able to maintain predictable product development schedules, and therefore be able to provide new functionality in a timely manner.``
Besides its benefits of rapid time to market and its high performance, BEA WebLogic Server was selected over several other application servers for its platform-independence, which stems from its strong support for EJBs and other Java standards. BuildPoint.com has a mixed environment of Microsoft Windows NT and Sun Solaris platforms, and wants the flexibility to add new operating environments in the future.
``Net market makers like BuildPoint are turning to BEA because the BEA E-Commerce Transaction Platform(TM) is proven, reliable, robust, and highly scalable`` said Joe Menard, president of the BEA E-Commerce Server Division. ``Timing is an extremely important competitive issue for BuildPoint, and BEA WebLogic Server can reduce initial time to market and ensure speedy delivery of new applications and enhancements in the future.``
BEA WebLogic Server is part of the BEA E-Commerce Transaction Platform, which provides the foundation for building highly reliable e-commerce systems. In addition to BEA WebLogic Server, BEA WebLogic Enterprise(TM), and BEA Tuxedo® -- e-commerce transaction servers for rapidly building, deploying, and managing e-commerce applications -- the BEA E-Commerce Transaction Platform includes: BEA eLink(TM) for integrating new Web applications in real time with back-office systems and with other businesses across the Web; BEA WebLogic Commerce Server(TM), an integrated set of industry standard, out-of-the-box commerce building blocks that provide the time to market and adaptable business logic required for next generation e-commerce systems; and a wide range of education, customer support, and professional services to help small companies and large corporations get e-commerce initiatives off the ground and up on the Web.

SAN JOSE, Calif. (CBS.MW) -- BEA Systems posted better-than-expected earnings in the second quarter on strong sales and then boosted its sales and earnings expectations for the remainder of the year.
The e-commerce transactions company (BEAS: news, msgs) recorded pro forma net income of $21.9 million, or 5 cents a share, a penny ahead of analysts` average estimate, according to First Call. In the same quarter of 1999, the company made $12.4 million, or 2 cents a share.
Sales in the quarter soared 80 percent, year-to-year, to $186 million from last year`s $103.2 million. License fees climbed 22 percent to $104.2 million from $85.2 million in the prior quarter.
Bill Coleman, BEA CEO and co-founder, said he now expects a15 percent quarter-on-quarter growth rate for the "foreseeable future."
He boosted fiscal year revenue expectations to $785 million from $700 million. Also, he raised earnings expectations to 22 cents per share from 18 cents per share.
"We are really seeing a major move by companies looking to build e-commerce on Web Logic," Coleman said. "Our business is really firing on all cylinders."
Web Logic is BEA`s e-commerce transaction software.
In a separate release after the market closed, BEA announced more than two dozen strategic alliances in which collectively it plans to invest up to $20 million this fiscal year.
"Our channel growth has been constrained by our ability to build our channel directly," Coleman said.
This new program will accelerate growth through BEA`s ability to license products to third parties. BEA now has 27 partners, consisting of more than 4,000 consultants.
"The channel initiative is designed to drive dramatic market share growth through more strategic relationships with leading systems integrators, application services providers and independent software vendors," Coleman said.
BEA announced relationships with, among others, KPMG, Computer Sciences Corp. (CSC: news, msgs), MarchFirst (MRCH: news, msgs), Unisys Systems (UIS: news, msgs), IXL (IIXL: news, msgs), Calico Commerce (CLIC: news, msgs), Loudcloud, Manugistics (MANU: news, msgs), and Moai.
