Die Absichtserklärung erstreckt sich auf Projekte mit einem Investitionsvolumen von mehr als 5,3 Milliarden US-Dollar zwischen 2023 und 2028.
Unterzeichnet wurde die Absichtserklärung auf der COP28 in Dubai von Sumant Sinha, dem Gründer, Vorsitzenden und CEO von ReNew, sowie von Suzanne Gaboury, Director General, Private Sector Operations Department, der ADB. Darin wurden potenzielle Investitionen in Projekte für erneuerbare Energien und die verarbeitende Industrie sowie Projekte zum Ausgleich von Kohlendioxidemissionen und zur Erzeugung von grünem Wasserstoff genannt.
