Spike Media Signs Online Promotion Deal with MP3.com.au
Spike Media, Spike Networks` media division specialising in online
advertising and sponsorship sales has announced an exclusive media
partnership with MP3.com.au, Australia`s first Music Service Provider
(MSP).
Spike Media will receive commission from arranging sponsorship of
online media and live events on MP3.com.au. Spike Media will also
work with MPS.com.au to develop the live entertainment component of
the high-profile music site, which will highlight cutting edge music
events. Spike Media is hoping to represent MP3 in other countries.
"Spike Media offers innovative sponsorship packages that focus on
adding real value to users which will enhance the online experience
at MP3.com.au," said Jo-Ann Carpenter, Media Sales Manager for Spike
Media. "Spike Media has moved away from more `traditional` forms of
online advertising. We generate highly effective and measurable on-
line media campaigns for sponsors and implement the latest in rich
media techniques, which are now Spike Media`s trademark," said Ms
Carpenter.
MP3.com.au CEO Domenic Carosa said: "We are pleased that Spike Media
will be representing the MP3.com.au site. Spike`s focus on
entertainment, youth and lifestyle-focussed brands is perfectly
aligned with our audience profile."
MP3.com.au is one of Australia`s leading music websites with more
than 100,000 visitors per month. MP3.com.au promotes musicians and
allows visitors to download their music free from the Internet. The
company recently signed a deal with Yahoo! to promote the MP3.com.au
official Australian digital music charts on Yahoo!. The charts help
Internet users download the most popular MP3 tracks without charge
from MP3.com.au.
Exemplifying its positioning to offer organisations access to the
youth market, Spike Media also represents Play Now
(www.playnow.com.au), which has been listed by www.top100.com.au as
