Canada’s current role as a major oil supplier to the United States is becoming increasingly important. Already, the country is the largest supplier of crude oil and petroleum products to the U.S. As the price of petroleum products increases due to the depletion of conventional resources, the interest in alternative petroleum resources is increasing. A great deal of research has been conducted to improve production technologies with corresponding cost savings for tar sands, heavy oil and oil shales. CanWest Petroleum has the potential to be a niche feedstock producer with stable production costs.

damit du hier nicht so einsam bist... ;-) ...bin auch investiert und denke, dass wir langfristig auf ein RENNpferd gesetzt haben..
Ich habe mich mit dieser Firma ziemlich viel beschäftigt, und diese Aktie braucht bisschen Zeit. Management stammt aus Suncor und sie haben noch viel, viel mehr zu bieten. Suncor hat 50 % weniger Potential und steht jetzt bei 40€.
Es besteht nur die Möglichkeit dass die Chinesen alles ubernehmen.

Morgen! Canwest hat das größte Potential. Bin schon seit Monaten drin und denke dass, das nur der Anfang ist. Und gestern gab auch News über Triple 7 Energy Inc., West Peak Ventures und soweit. kannt ihr selbst lesen. Management ist aus Synenco und Suncor. Die Leute wissen etwas über Ölsand und wenn nur eine Hälfte von dem potential da ist, wird Canwest in einpaar jahren 50$ sein.lesen kann man hier

The company has issued a press release announcing that it has received notice that it was successful in its bid to purchase the 23,040-acre Eagle Nest Prospect, situated in the Athabasca Oil Sands in Alberta, Canada, for a cash price of USD 727,187.
News of the company`s successful bid should be welcomed by investors, as The Alberta Energy Utilities Board ("EUB"), in its Crude Bitumen Resource Atlas of May 1996, estimated an initial in-place resource of 3.4 billion barrels crude bitumen on the Eagle Nest Prospect.! The Eagle Nest Prospect is within the Athabasca Oil Sands trend and usually accessible by winter road for exploration. The company plans to drill approximately 12 exploratory holes this winter in an effort to confirm, in part, the EUB resource estimate of the Eagle Nest Prospect. The estimated cost for the proposed drilling project is USD 2,000,000. There is no assurance the company will be able to confirm the EUB estimate.
Watch this company! The company, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Township Petroleum Corporation, owns a 100% interest in the Eagle Nest Prospect, subject to a CDND 0.09 per barrel royalty and other cash payments.
Investors should continue to monitor the progress of CanWest Petroleum for further developments! The upper and lower wells are called a "well pair". Each "well pair" can potentially, in the right resource, produce up to several thousand barrels bitumen per day, with potential recoveries of approximately 60% of the bitumen in place. Dafür, dass der Wert seit Tagen an der OTC starke Umsätze generiert, wird hier aber verdammt wenig diskutiert. Chartttechnisch sieht es auch gut aus, Konsolidierung abgeschlossen. Ölbranche boomt. Gab es denn noch keine Bullvestor- oder sonstige Empfehlungen? Ich habe eine Mini-Position aufgebaut.
