    According to recent research from Gartner, Inc., the average reported time to return on investment (ROI) for field service applications is nine months.(1) Among the reasons cited in the research were technician efficiency, inventory management, faster invoicing, and customer satisfaction. When asked for the top three most-important reasons for selecting a vendor's field service solution, the ability to integrate to ERP was cited as the No. 1 reason the most.
