Singapore's Keppel Corp unit wins contracts worth 260 mln sgd from LukOil
SINGAPORE (XFN-ASIA) - Keppel Corp said its unit Keppel Singmarine Ltd has won 260 mln sgd worth of contracts to build two highly specialised vessels for Lukoil- Kaliningradmorneft, a subsidiary of Russian oil giant OAO LukOil.
Keppel Singmarine is under Keppel Offshore&Marine Ltd, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Corp.
Under the deal, Keppel will construct an auxilliary icebreaker vessel and a multi-purpose ice-breaking supply vessel scheduled to be delivered between end-2007 and mid-2008.
'This partnership with LukOil represents a strategic milestone in the Keppel Offshore&Marine (Keppel O&M) group's effort to enhance its services for the Russian energy and offshore-related market,' said Charles Foo, chairman of Keppel Singmarine and managing director of parent firm Keppel O&M.
Keppel said the contracts are not expected to have a material impact on the net tangible assets or the earnings per share of Keppel Corp Ltd for its 2006 financial year.

Ruhe ist bei diesem Papier nicht immer angebracht. Ich handele mit diesem Titel schon einige Jahre. Die letzte Gewinnmitnahme habe ich dummerweise verpasst. Der Chart hier bei WO hat den letzten Split nicht drin. Das ist miserable Chartpflege 
und verfälscht die dramatisch tolle Performance von Lukoil. In diesem Wert muss man engagiert sein

LUKOIL's oil refining subsidiary Permnefteprodukt has acquired 41.81% shares of Udmurtnefteprodukt refinery for RUB 700 million.
In future LUKOIL plans to increase its interest in Udmurtnefteprodukt to 95%.
Udmurtnefteprodukt controls 65% of the oil market of the Republic of Udmurtia. The Company comprises more than 100 petrol stations and 7 petroleum storage depots with the capacity of 390,000 tons.

LUKOIL purchased Udmurtnefteprodukt shares from its major shareholder - Udmurttorf OJSC for RUB 700 million.

LUKOIL Oil Company has purchased 100% shares of LUKOIL-Perm LLC from Lukoil Energy GmbH, as LUKOIL informs.
The transaction amount is RUB 90.681.
In February, LUKOIL Board decided to transfer LUKOIL-Perm from LUKOIL Overseas group into LUKOIL ownership. It was also decided to transfer 54% of LUKARCO B.V. shares held directly by LUKIOL to LUKOIL Overseas.
The assets exchange aims at optimizing the management of LUKOIL subsidiaries and its foreign projects. The transfer of the shares was to be finished by July 1, 2006.
LUKIOL-Perm performs prospecting and production of oil and gas in 23 administrative districts of Prikamje. The company, its subsidiaries and joint ventures have on their own balance-sheet 127 oil and gas fields. By early 2005 their proved, audited reserves totaled 2.13 barrels of oil and 667 billion cubic meters of gas. In 2005 LUKOIL-Perm enterprises produced above 10.3 million tons of oil and 909 million cubic meters of gas.
LUKARCO, a join venture of LUKOIL and BP, has 12.5% interest in the Caspian Pipeline Consortium and 5% in the project on developing the large oil and gas field Tengiz in the west of Kazakhstan. In 2005 the oil production in this field amounted to 13.6 million tons, gas production - to 3.4 billion cubic meters.

Die Q1-Zahlen des Unternehmens seien hinter den Erwartungen zurückgeblieben. Der Nettogewinn habe mit 1,7 Mrd. USD unter der Prognose von 1,8 Mrd. USD gelegen. Der Umsatz sei angetrieben von höheren Ölpreisen und einer 5,3%igen Produktionserhöhung um 41,7% angestiegen.
Die Kostenbasis sei ebenfalls angestiegen, was aber vor allem auf Faktoren zurückzuführen sei, auf die das Management keinen Einfluss habe, wie zum Beispiel Exporttarife. Die Erhöhung der Produktionskosten sei begrenzter gewesen.

The Russian LukOil Company is figuring markedly at the Latin American oil exhibition that opened in Venezuela on Tuesday.
This international forum in Maracaibo, the petroleum capital of Venezuela, has drawn more than 800 companies and corporations. The LukOil display stands, set up alongside those of the world's leading fuel-and-power companies, attract specialists by the diversity of themes, videomaterials and unique items.
Luis Vierma, Vice-President of the state-run Petroleos of Venezuela Company, has highly appreciated cooperation with LukOil, the specialists of which currently engage in work to estimate oil reserves at the Junin-3 block of the Orinoco oil belt. Oil deposits of the Orinoco belt are rated as the world's largest reserves of hydrocarbon fuel. According to preliminary data, those reserves amount to 235,000 million barrels of heavy and superheavy oil.
While the exhibition is running, the LukOil delegation is to take part in negotiations, roundtable and working meetings that deal with the development of new deposits, transportation, processing, marketing, and export of petroleum products.
It is also planned to consider the role of the fuel-and-power sector in the economic and social development of the less-developed areas of Venezuela and other Latin American countries.
