      http://www.sedar.com/DisplayCompanyDocuments.do?lang=EN&issu…

Was würde man in einem EU-Staat machen?
      Danke für eine Antwort:mad::mad::mad:

      Obama, Lithium, Uranium and Rodinia
      Richard Mills

      Obama's Clean Energy Agenda

President Obama has made global warming one of the key issues of his administration and it's an extremely ambitious agenda he's bringing to the table. Included in his agenda is a pledge to eliminate oil imports from the Middle East and Venezuela within a decade and to slash his country's carbon dioxide emissions by more than 30 per cent by the year 2020.

If President Obama is to successfully implement his energy doctrine his administration has to do two things:

1.Wean America off using fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas) to produce energy.

2.Develope alternative clean energy sources within the US to avoid energy imports.

This Clean Energy Agenda will be spearheaded by White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and complemented by hard line green leadership in both the House and Senate. This new committee has stated it will be acting quickly and decisively to reduce global warming and ending US dependence on foreign oil.

      Lithium

The following quote makes it very clear two of the clean energy solutions being promoted by this administration are electricity and batteries.

"Today, we have the chance to achieve a real breakthrough: the plug-in hybrid...Hybrid engines save gasoline by switching back and forth from battery to gasoline power......With a plug-in hybrid, commuters can drive back and forth to work, recharge their cars overnight, and go a month or more without a trip to the gas station." White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel.

To achieve this breakthrough the US is going to need batteries that are cheaper, more durable and more powerful then the current nickel-metal-hydride (NiMh) batteries. Because of groundbreaking research there's already an answer being voiced, lithium-ion. With double the "energy density" of today's standard NiMh batteries lithium-ion cells have emerged as the leading battery technology to power hybrid vehicles.

      - Lithium-Ion battery packs are GM's solution for the Volt hybrid

      - Lithium-Ion battery packs can be manufactured to any shape or size, thereby making them easy to fit into any car design

      - No memory effect, therefore easier for drivers to charge and maintain

      - High energy-to-weight ratio, helping increase efficiency and environmental friendliness

      - Most new hybrids and hybrid concepts being introduced rely on Lithium-Ion battery technology

This battery is absolutely critical to President Obama's energy plan, he'll need such a battery for energy storage if he's going to replace much of the nation's oil imports with US nuclear, solar, wind and geothermal eco-friendly generated electricity. The demand for lithium will rise many times over present day production with the coming runaway demand for eco-vehicles.

Where will the lithium come from?

As electricity starts to replace gasoline in America the country could very well be running the risk of replacing it's dependence on foreign oil for a dependence on foreign lithium or foreign produced lithium cells.

"We cannot allow ourselves to become dependent on foreign sources of lithium-ion battery cells (or lithium itself) as we have become dependent on petroleum from the Middle East," National Alliance for Advanced Transportation Battery Cell Manufacture's Attorney James Greenberger.

      - According to the USGS, overall demand for lithium is growing at a rate of 4-5% per year

      - Demand for lithium destined for battery usage is predicted to grow by 20% per year

      - Over 60% of mobile phones and 90% of laptop computers feature Lithium Ion batteries

      - The worldwide market for rechargeable lithium batteries is estimated to be worth over $4 billion/year

      - The automotive market alone is projected to reach $337 million in 2012, and $1.6 billion in 2015

The U.S. contains approximately three percent of the world's Lithium reserves. Presently Chile provides 61 percent of lithium exports to the U.S. and Argentina is the source of 36 percent. Bolivia, at an estimated fifty percent of world supply, has by far, the largest lithium deposits of any country.

President Evo Morales has already nationalized the oil and natural gas industries and now a growing nationalist movement could prompt the head of state to do the same with the lithium fields. "The previous imperialist model of exploitation of our natural resources will never be repeated in Bolivia. Maybe there could be the possibility of foreigners accepted as minority partners, or better yet, as our clients, " head of lithium extraction Saul Villegas
      http://www.aheadoftheherd.com/Newsle...try%20Risk.htm" target="_blank" rel="nofollow ugc noopener">http://www.aheadoftheherd.com/Newsle...try%20Risk.htm" target="_blank" rel="nofollow ugc noopener">

Lithium is not traded publicly, instead it's sold directly to end users for a negotiated price per ton or pound of Lithium carbonate (Li2CO3). High demand and low supply has recently caused reported paid end user prices to reach US $6,600.00 ton.

But right now price isn't the issue, rather the issue is one of supply. Demand for lithium is increasing and Mitsubishi Motors Corp. anticipates that demand will increase fivefold to meet the needs of electric vehicles. At present, demand in North America is about 100,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent.

There's one unit of lithium in a cell phone battery, 3,000 units in a hybrid car and 7,000 units in an electric car; the numbers work out to 9 to 30 kilograms of lithium oxide per car battery. One of President Obama's goals is 1,000,000 built in America hybrid cars on American roads by 2015. The automotive industry needs a secure uninterrupted supply of lithium to ramp up its production of the next generation of hybrid electric vehicles using lithium-ion batteries.

      Lithium Mining

The traditional hard-rock mining of pegmatites containing the lithium bearing silicate spudomene is time, energy and cost intensive. Lithium is the thirty-third most frequently occurring mineral so it's not exactly scarce, but concentrations are generally too low, and extraction too difficult and costly to be viable. The major trend in the lithium industry has been a transition from hard rock mining-based sources of lithium to brine-based ones. The cost-effectiveness of brine operations forced even large producers in China and Russia to develop their own brine sources or buy raw materials from brine producers.

The economics of obtaining lithium carbonate from brine are so favorable that most hard rock production has been priced out of the market. Lithium brines are currently the only lithium source that can support mining without significant other credits from tantalum, niobium, tin etc., (low manganese content within Nevada's Clayton Valley brines significantly reduces recovery costs, unlike Chile's high manganese content brine deposits). Lithium brine resources are now the preferred method of lithium recovery.

The only lithium producing plant in North America is located in Clayton Valley, Nevada, USA. The facility was opened in 1967 and has been producing lithium carbonate from brines ever since.

Recovering lithium from brines is not considered hard rock mining, its classified the same as placer and permitting is much easier and quicker.

Lithium recovery from brines could lead to a huge carbon footprint reduction because of a nearly zero-waste mining method. Once the lithium is recovered the chemicals used can be recycled, also the by-products include saleable compounds such as potash and/or boron.

      The Uranium Solution

To meet President Obama's stated goals of energy independence and a huge reduction in its carbon emissions, the US transportation system has to be electrified. Electricity is an energy source that needs to be produced and stored. The electricity needed for Obama to succeed in replacing fossil fuels, both for transportation and everyday use, will have to come from nuclear generation. There is simply no other logical alternative.

      - Coal and natural gas plants emit carbon dioxide emissions.

      - Extensive use of hydrogen is not practical due to its volatile nature and lack of infrastructure.

      - Solar, wind and geothermal are all niche suppliers and are untried on a large scale. Solar and wind have extremely large footprints and geothermal seems to be limited to a few parts of the country. All three of these technologies are extremely important and each will successfully contribute, in a small way, to America's energy independence.

      - High emissions, a negative energy return and severe environmental costs are associated with ethanol and make its use impractical.

      - Hydro supplies approximately 10% of US power but going to clean eco-friendly energy isn't accomplished by damming what free-flowing rivers are left.

The US currently uses roughly fifty-five million pounds of uranium a year. The country produces roughly four million. The Russians with their Megatons to Megawatts Program supply half the shortfall but that program ends in 2013.

America produces less then ten percent of its uranium needs and relies on imports and the Russians for the rest of their Uranium. If America never builds another nuclear plant the existing demand is not going to go away or even lessen.

"In all, over 100 power reactors with a total net capacity of almost 120,000 MWe are planned and over 250 more are proposed."

      http://www.world-nuclear.org/info/inf17.html

To meet Obama's goal of energy independence the US will have to build many more reactors and presently there's proposals for over twenty new plants. To supply these new and existing plants uranium deposits in the US need to be developed.

      For investors

The United States is not even close to being self sufficient in Lithium or Uranium. If America is to end its dependence on foreign energy and vastly reduce its carbon footprint it will have to develop its own internal resources of these critical minerals.

Developing countries such as China and India, with 2.3 billion people between them, will, even while going mostly nuclear, drastically increase their consumption of fossil fuels. Oil, natural gas and coal are all going much higher in price. Soon it is going to be imperative that the present US administration is seen to be doing something, as promised, about high energy prices, foreign energy dependence and the US's extremely large carbon footprint.

The Alternative Energy Revolution with its "Yes we will!" slogan has been presented as a major plank in Obama's election platform and there's no question he will follow through. He has to, the coming high price of energy derived from non-friendly foreign fossil fuel suppliers combined with ever increasing competition for limited resources will make it happen.

Lithium and Uranium are two of the best ways to play President Obama's energy agenda. The power of the Office of the President of the United States will be backing the Eco-Energy Revolution and billions of dollars will be given out to develop the technology behind the lithium-ion battery. This energy revolution is a serious investable long-term trend and we, as investors, have to take advantage of the opportunities being presented. We'd be smart to get in early, ahead of the herd, to take advantage of the coming global rush to electricity - generated by nuclear power and stored in lithium-ion batteries.

      Rodinia Minerals RM.tsx-v

The increasing demand will be very good for lithium miners and battery makers bottom lines but it may be especially lucrative to the junior exploration and development companies who have had the foresight to lock up large lithium brine deposits IN THE UNITED STATES and actually own the much needed and increasingly valuable lithium.

Uranium is also going to be a much sought after commodity and companies with 43-101 ISR compatible deposits owning permitted uranium mill sites with associated water in the US are going to become very popular with investors and very likely become takeover targets.

I've found a company with both lithium and uranium and a host of other positive attributes:

      - 100% interest in 50,000 acres in Clayton Valley, surrounding the only US operating lithium producer

      - Clayton Valley lithium bines have been producing lithium carbonate since 1967

      - In 1975, I.A. Kunasz of the American Institute of Mining, estimated the mineral endowment of Clayton Valley to be 750 million kg of lithium

      - Uranium deposits, with 43-101 compliant resources and huge exploration/discovery potential, in a favorable to mining area of the US

      - Good management

      - Tight share structure

      - Cash in the treasury

      - Two permitted US uranium mill sites with the right to purchase associated water permits.

      Clayton Valley Lithium Project

Clayton Valley - the Saudi Arabia of Lithium?

Rodinia recently announced that it and its Wyoming subsidiary, Donnybrook Platinum Resources, Inc. had entered into a letter agreement (the "Agreement") with GeoXplor Corp. ("GeoXplor") in respect of 250 unpatented mining claims located in the Clayton Valley, Esmeralda County, Nevada (the "Property").

Clayton Valley is home to the only lithium producer in the United States. This plant extracts lithium from brines pumped from aquifiers below the valley and has been in production since 1967. The plant is designed to produce 1.2 million kg of lithium per year and to date has produced an estimated 50 million kg of lithium. Rodinia's property is adjacent to this production facility.

In 1975, I.A. Kunasz of the American Institute of Mining, estimated the mineral endowment of Clayton Valley to be 750 million kg of lithium. A more recent study by Price, Lechler, Lear and Giles in 2000, suggests that significantly more lithium was released into the Clayton Valley catchment by the weathering of high lithium bearing rocks. They suggest that as groundwater enters the basin, it appears to be dissolving lithium minerals accumulated in valley sediment and is partially recharging the lithium content of the brine, while mining operations have been ongoing. "Replenishment of brines comes from surrounding Rhyolite, which are the most lithium rich in the world. Brines in the area have concentrations as high as 1000 ppm Concentrations as low as 166 ppm have been used in lithium brine pool extraction methods." - Author

In addition to the claims covered under the Option, Rodinia through its U.S. subsidiary has staked an additional 284 claims (45,440 acres) in Clayton Valley. These mining claims will form part of the Property under an area of mutual interest clause in the Agreement. When combined with the claims under option, Rodinia now has a total of 50,440 acres under its control, accounting for approximately 90% of the valley. Rodinia has planned an aggressive exploration program to target additional layers of lithium bearing brines which may exist throughout the property.

      Workman Creek
      Location: Gila County, Arizona
      Resources: 5,542,000 lbs U3O8 (NI 43-101 compliant)
      Ownership: Option to acquire 100%
Database from US$10 Million in Exploration

Workman Creek, first explored by the mineral exploration arm of Westinghouse, is an advanced uranium project with an established inferred resource. Rodinia inherited an extensive database at Workman Creek compiled from over US$10 million in exploration and development. Since acquiring its option, Rodinia has upgraded the resource to NI 43-101 standards, staked additional claims, conducted extensive soil sampling, completed MMI pits and scintillometer surveys and completed environmental permitting for further exploration.

"Early indications are that the Workman Creek deposit will be amenable to in-situ recovery (ISR). In the United States, you either add CO2 or sodium bicarbonate plus an oxidant, such as oxygen, to the groundwater. Then you re-inject the solution into the sandstone host formation to dissolve the uranium off the sandstone. Recovery wells suck up the injectant and you leach off the uranium." Author

      Many Targets Left to Explore

Most of the work conducted by Westinghouse was concentrated on or around the Workman Creek deposit. By the time they abandoned the property in 1981, very little work had been performed on other targets -- in particular, on the eight other significant radiometric anomalies that were identified. All of these anomalies are within a ten-mile radius of the Workman Creek deposit and have recently been staked by Rodinia. Rodinia has also staked the most significant of the 46 known deposits discovered during the 1950's staking rush.

      Red Bluff Mine
      Location: Gila County Arizona
Resources: Historic resource (not NI 43-101 compliant)
Ownership: 100% with 3% yellowcake royalty

      A Strategic Acquisition

The Red Bluff Mine is located only nine miles south of Rodinia's Workman Creek project in the Dripping Springs Quartzite uranium bearing unit. The project includes two permitted mill sites, an extensive database compiled by Westinghouse and a historic uranium resource. The acquisition agreement also includes the option to purchase, at commercially prevailing rates, water associated with rights owned by the Red Bluff Mine. Considering the shortage of water in the region and the scarcity of uranium mills in North America, the Red Bluff acquisition represents a strategic milestone for Rodinia.

      Other Properties

Space constraints prohibit listing Rodinia's other uranium properties, White Canyon, Mormon Lake and Lucky Boy. Please refer to Rodinia's website.

      Conclusion

The rechargeable power needs of our modern society has made lithium a serious player in the commodity markets and something for investors to seriously think about getting involved with. Each and every laptop, PDA, cell phone, and iPod sold makes lithium that much more valuable and interesting.

But with President Obama's agenda to end the Unites States dependence on fossil fuels and reduce his countries carbon footprint soon the main market for lithium won't just be cellphones, iPods and laptops but the next generation hybrid or totally electric vehicle batteries.

Rodinia's uranium and lithium could very well be an unbeatable combination to have in one company and in your portfolio, either one or both have the potential to be the next break-out investment.

Rodinia's lithium claims are in the Clayton Valley surrounding North America's only producing lithium plant and Rodinia has two permitted uranium mill sites with the right to buy the associated water close to millions of pounds of their own 43-101 compliant uranium resources.

And lets not forget that there are few permitted uranium mills in the United States and during the past twenty years the mill permitting process time has gone from an average of three years to fifteen.

Lithium and uranium might just become the commodity of choice for investors.

Are uranium and lithium the next big thing? If so, then Rodinia shareholders could do very well being as exposed as they are to President Obama's Energy Revolution.

      THE BUY SIDE: TECHNOLOGY

"My money's on China to produce world-changing electric car"
      AVNER MANDELMAN

      April 25, 2009

Avner Mandelman is president and chief investment officer of Giraffe Capital Corp. and the author of The Sleuth Investor.

      amandelman@giraffecapital.com

Once in a while an invention comes along that changes the world: Gunpowder. Printing press. Steam engine. Telegraph. Telephone. Model T Ford. Television. Computers - first mainframes, then PCs. The Internet. And now - maybe - the electric car.

I'm not talking hybrids here. I am talking a pure electric that runs on batteries, travels 200 kilometres on one charge, drives fast, consumes electricity equivalent to the cost of a gasoline engine getting 240 mpg, needs a one-hour charge for each travel hour - yet costs less than $25,000 and can be fixed by the local electrician and bicycle repairman.

Such a car, if it existed, would change the world: There'd be less pollution, less noise, less power wielded by evil madmen selling oil, less wars, less global warming, more capital for good uses ... Or am I off base? If I am, Warren Buffett is off, too. Last fall, he plunked down $230-million (U.S.) for 10 per cent of BYD, a Chinese private company making pure electrics. Some are soon to be tested in a regular corporate fleet in Portland, Ore., allegedly before being marketed and sold in North America.

Why did Mr. Buffett do it? Yes, BYD Auto's founder and chief, Wang Chuanfu, is dynamic, but the world-changing potential of the electric car is more so. And why China - are there no cheap electrics in the West? Not really. The Canadian Zenn car costs too much for the little it does; the Volt is made by the UAW (enough said); and the American Tesla has made big claims but has mostly taken deposits. Yes, you could order a Tesla today; it would cost you $100,000, run smoothly and fast, and could be charged off your home socket. But of the $100,000 price tag, $60,000 covers the battery - which lasts only three to four years, and the company makes fewer than a hundred Teslas a year. So not only is it not cheap, it's also not available.

The Tesla's problems reflect the three common problems of most Western electric cars: the need for a cheap battery that lasts; the need to produce lots of cars; and the need for a big company to back it all up. Let's take these in order.

To make an inexpensive battery ($10,000, say), you need really cheap lithium deposits, billions of dollars for a huge production line of Model T-like proportions, and super know-how. In all these the West is deficient. Yes, lithium is everywhere, but the cheapest deposits are in Australia (small), Chile (okay), and Tibet - best and large, and controlled by China (one reason Tibet will likely never be free). As for billions of dollars needed for a production line, China is among the world leaders in batteries. (BYD is also the world's biggest maker of cellphone batteries.)

As to know-how: A dirty little tech secret is that the West is a relative slouch in chemistry; few bright students study it since environmentalists gave it a bad name. In China, though, many bright people study chemistry, so most innovative batteries today are Chinese-made. One day we might see a big production line of lithium batteries close to Tibet, to power all those BYD electric cars. (Incidentally, could electric motor production be why China has been buying copper massively?)

Now, for the final reason why pure electrics can't be produced in the West. Aside from the labour-cost disparity, no big company in the West really wants to do it. China doesn't have a major stake in traditional car manufacturing, but the Japanese, South Koreans, Americans and Canadians have lots of jobs and pensions (and car dealerships) tied to existing cars, so politically things can't change quickly. (Witness Detroit and Windsor.) In particular, car companies have little interest in pure electrics. This isn't a question of a conspiracy, but of commerce. If they made a really inexpensive electric car, it would drive down the value of all their used (gasoline) cars, and would dissuade buyers of new (gasoline) cars. The Chinese don't mind wrecking the old automotive system - matter of fact, the Chinese government is 100 per cent behind the pure-electric effort. So a $20,000 to $25,000 Chinese pure electric car is likely to be sold here in three to five years, in my opinion.

And Warren Buffett will make a heap of money on it.

What would the world look like then? First off, over time, oil could become somewhat less of a factor in civilian economies. Since there would be alternatives, its competitive price would hinge on marginal cost of production. Yes, in war times oil price will zoom, but afterward electrics would put a cap on it. (FYI, oil's marginal production cost is $20 [U.S.] to $25 a barrel on average - half its current price.)

As well, the environment would look very different, with less pollution as nuclear power makes electricity smog-less. The electric grid would have to be expanded, but not immediately, because the North American grid is not fully used at night (when most cars would be charged). And yes, planes would still need petroleum, as would the machines of war, and the petrochemical industry (that's polyester for you). But cars could use electricity, so repair and spare parts would be a smaller business (aside from battery handling - lithium can be tricky stuff), so more of the manufacturing base could move offshore. And the car you'd be driving 10 years hence would likely be Chinese, with BYD nearly as big as Toyota.

Am I off base? I don't think so. As BYD's Mr. Wang said: I cannot compete with Toyota in cars whose engines have 1,500 moving parts. But my electric engines have only 45 moving parts. There I can compete.

What are the investment implications? Stocks to do with the electrical grid, nuclear power, or car electronics, yes. Investment in oil producing dictatorships, no. And closer to home: With cheap and reliable electric cars, could large suburban houses be good investments yet again?

It's Clean, It's Green, and its Right Now

      By Richard (Rick) Mills
      Apr 13 2009 4:29PM

As a general rule, the most successful man in life is the man who has the best information

“Finding the new driver of our economy is going to be critical. There’s no better driver that pervades all aspects of our economy than a new energy economy. … That’s going to be my No. 1 priority when I get into office.” President Obama

President Obama and his administration have made policies that are revolutionary in their undertaking. This administration is about to implement a nation wide stimulus resulting in a new revitalized economy based on clean energy.

”A new energy economy is going to be part of what creates the millions of new jobs that we need,” President Obama.

With his landslide election he has proven to have plenty of support for the realization of this energy revolution. The election proved that the majority of US Citizens have become tired of depending on foreigners for their energy needs, are green minded, ecologically conscious and have wholeheartedly given their support to clean energy technology.

      The Plan

The U.S.’s $790 billion economic stimulus plan includes more than $5 billion in loans, grants, and tax credits to help stimulate the development of large-scale domestic production of advanced, lithium-ion batteries for hybrid and electric cars. The stimulus plan recently passed by Congress includes $16.8 billion to promote energy efficiency and the development of renewable energy. A large portion will go toward developing a domestic battery industry including $2 billion in grants for manufacturing advanced batteries and up to $2.4 billion in tax credits for building battery plants. Another bonus included is a $7,500 tax credit for people who purchase plug-in hybrid cars, which will indirectly boost lithium-ion battery production.

“New plug-in hybrids roll off our assembly lines, but they will run on batteries made in Korea. Well I do not accept a future where the jobs and industries of tomorrow take root beyond our borders – and I know you don’t either. It is time for America to lead again.” President Obama

Lithium battery technology is absolutely critical to President Obama’s energy plan. Lithium-ion is the leading battery technology and a hugely important first step towards transforming electric cars from a niche curiosity into a major clean energy revolution for the transportation sector.

Lithium batteries could be part of the answer to increasingly expensive oil, energy dependence on foreign suppliers and global warming. Now, with the big push to renewable energy and far less reliance on fossil fuels, a market is starting to develop in the United States for more advanced batteries. This, combined with loan guarantees, will act as an incentive that could very well jumpstart the advanced battery industry in the US.

      http://arstechnica.com/science/news/2009/03/obama-commits-to…

Lithium-ion batteries are already used in nearly every type of portable electronic device and are already in proto types destined for production electric vehicles, such as the Tesla S. Other uses for lithium compounds include: aerospace alloys, ceramics, glass, lubricants, refrigeration, pharmaceuticals, greases, silver solder, textiles, propellants and in the production of synthetic rubber.

In 2006, according to the USGS, the United States was the leading consumer of lithium minerals and compounds and the leading producer of value-added lithium materials.

If the promise by President Obama that one million American made hybrid vehicles will be on American roads by 2015 is to be met then there is no substitute for lithium based battery technology at this stage of the energy revolution.

“Lithium ion batteries are anticipated to replace gasoline as the principal source of energy in future cars and military vehicles." The National Alliance for Advanced Transportation Battery Cell Manufacture

      Other Auto Industry Facts include:

      - GM announced it would build a plant to manufacture lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries for the Chevy Volt scheduled to debut in 2011.

      - BMW plans to launch its remodeled Li-ion battery-powered 750i luxury sedan to the Japanese in 2010. This year, the company is producing 500 all-electric MINI Es, also with Li-ion batteries, for leasing in select cities.

      - Toyota hopes to launch plug-in hybrid Priuses with Li-ion batteries later this year.

      - Mercedes-Benz anticipates launching its S400 Blue HYBRID with a Li-ion battery next year.

      - The Ford Escape plug-in hybrid with the same power technology is slated for 2012.

      - Also the Tesla Roadster, Chyrsler EcoVoyager, Dodge ZEO, Jeep Renegade and the Saturn Flextreme are all slated for li-ion batteries.

      - Nissan will use Li-ion batteries for the 65,000 hybrids they hope to manufacture by 2010.

      - Mitsubishi Motors Corp. anticipates that demand will increase fivefold to meet the needs of electric vehicles.

If the US does not develop a lithium-ion battery manufacturing sector at home it may very well be shut out of the electric car business – he who makes the batteries will also make the cars.

Lithium demand will skyrocket as more and more hybrids roll down the assembly line. Current processing potential is limited, making it vulnerable to market disruption. And limited supplies could mean big profits for lithium miners and processors.

It’s extremely hard to believe that any politician or lobbyist would consider sourcing the needed supplies for Obama’s Energy Revolution from offshore suppliers and risk the same foreign dependence as they have today with oil. Politicians will fight tooth and nail to avoid importing lithium or lithium-ion batteries.

So where will America’s much needed lithium come from?

Clayton Valley – The US Saudi Arabia of Lithium

Clayton Valley is located in the center of Esmeralda County Nevada approximately 70k west of Goldfield and approximately 88k southwest of Tonopah the closest support center. Access to the valley is by paved road.

The valley is a broad open playa surrounded by rolling to rugged hills and ranges. Temperatures range from 35 degrees (95f) in August to average lows of -8 (17.5f) in December. Precipitation average is 11.2cm with 6.9cm of snowfall. Annual evaporation exceeds 127cm.

Clayton Valley contains the only operating lithium mine in the US and the only lithium brine operation in the US.

Lithium rich brines and evaporities have been accumulating in the Clayton Valley for at least 33,000 years. These brines have the highest lithium content of any brines tested by the USGS in the southwestern US.

Some of the volcanics to the east of Clayton Valley contain significantly higher levels of lithium than normal (Replenishment of brines comes from surrounding Rhyolite, which are the most lithium rich in the world. Brines in the area have concentrations as high as 1000 ppm.) and it is believed that as they weathered they provided the lithium in ground water that moved down to the low point in the system (and continues to do so recharging the brines) which is Clayton Valley. Other lithium sources such as area hot springs and other volcanics may also contribute.

Lithium exists in Clayton Valley in two modes: in solution within a brine and multiple solid phases such as hectorite (a clay mineral) and halite (evaporite salts). The brine is what has been mined in the valley since 1967 but solid phases are also important because these formations were critical to the development of the brines currently being mined. The lithium in solid phases is also important because it might be economically recovered.

The economics of obtaining lithium carbonate from brine are so favorable that most hard rock production has been priced out of the market. Lithium brines are currently the only lithium source that can support mining without significant other credits from tantalum, niobium, tin etc., (low manganese content within Nevada’s Clayton Valley brines significantly reduces recovery costs, unlike Chile’s high manganese content brine deposits). Lithium brine resources are now the preferred method of lithium recovery.

Nevada brines are pumped from the ground and progress through a series of evaporation ponds. Over the course of 12 to 18 months, concentration of the brine increases to 6,000 parts per million (ppm) lithium through solar evaporation. When the lithium chloride reaches optimum concentration, the liquid is pumped to a recovery plant and treated with soda ash, precipitating lithium carbonate. The carbonate is then removed through filtration, dried, and shipped.

Lithium is usually distributed in a chemical form such as lithium carbonate (Li2CO3) and production figures are often quoted in lithium carbonate equivalent quantities. By weight approximately 18.8% of lithium carbonate is lithium. Therefore 1kg of lithium is the equivalent of 5.3 kg of lithium carbonate.

The lowest cost lithium producers will be tomorrow’s major lithium producers. US based lithium producers and US based lithium product manufacturers will have a huge advantage over their competition in other countries because of Obama’s Clean Green Energy Revolution. The stimulus package and the desire to have independence from foreign supplied energy makes it a foregone conclusion.

      Rodinia Minerals

Estimates of the lithium endowment of Clayton Valley suggest that 2 – 22 million tones of lithium were liberated into the water system of Clayton Valley. Only a fraction of this is currently accounted for in the total production and resources at the Silver Peak Lithium Operations mine.

Rodinia Minerals is trying to quickly position itself as a Clayton Valley Nevada based lithium brine miner to support the growing demand for lithium based battery production in the USA.

Rodinia’s +50,000 acres of 100% owned claims are close to major support centers and a local trained workforce. Work can be carried out all year round. Nevada has a long mining history.

The exploration of Clayton Valley will be made much easier by the fact that the sources, transportation and the traps where the brine collects are all near the surface.

This rarely happens and gives Rodinia a very strong exploration advantage that significantly sets them apart from most mineral deposits and exploration models.

Electric Vehicles Face Bright Future in U.S.

      Date Published: 11 Aug 2009

By Matt Scruggs, Research Analyst, Frost & Sullivan's Automotive Practice and Veerender Kaul, Research Director, Frost & Sullivan's Automotive Practice

President Obama's announcement of a $2.4 billion government grant will open up the electric vehicle frontier on a larger scale than initially predicted. This will prove to be an important measure in reducing the initial cost of electric vehicles and opening the market to consumers. Additionally, electric vehicle development can provide a healthy boost to a stagnant economy with the creation of manufacturing jobs, a great number of which were lost due to the U.S. automotive industry decline. These benefits apply not only to purely-electric vehicles, but also to hybrid vehicles and extended-range electric vehicles (aka plug-in hybrids).

Of the $2.4 billion allocated in the program, approximately $1.5 billion is allocated to companies that manufacture batteries and battery components, as well as companies that recycle batteries once spent. $500 million goes to companies that manufacture electric drive systems or components, and the remaining $400 million is to be used for the creation of electric vehicle education and training, the creation of charging infrastructure, and the purchase of hybrid and electric vehicles for testing and evaluation. Based on Frost & Sullivan's analysis, this allocation of funding is poised to offer the maximum benefit to the future of electric vehicles.

The battery is the single-most expensive component of an electric vehicle, ranging from $8,000 to $15,000 on most vehicles in volume quantities. Automakers are working closely with battery suppliers and recyclers to develop several sales scenarios designed to reduce the initial battery cost to a point within reach of the average consumer. This may entail the consumer paying for a portion of the battery cost along with the price of the vehicle and leasing the rest of the cost over the life of the vehicle. Consumers are expected to be receptive to this, since they would not need to purchase gasoline, and electric recharge costs are expected to range from $0.70 to $2.50 per charge, depending on peak usage rates for each area. Companies that recycle batteries can also subsidize the cost, based on the end-of-life value of the battery pack.

The problem with these scenarios is still the initial cost, which lies not in the materials, but rather the labor and creation of manufacturing facilities for the batteries. The grant provides battery manufacturers with much-needed start-up funds to overcome the initial hurdle, since manufacturers have few options other than either burdening the consumer with excessive costs or absorbing the high prices and losing money on each battery. Once production reaches a significant level, prices will drop, and the cost will stabilize profitably, with price declines potentially reaching 50% by 2015.

The manufacture of electric drive components is expected to present only mild difficulty for the industry, as the technology is proven. The problem of scale, however, must be addressed, though the funds allocated for this are expected to be sufficient. The recipients of these funds are OEMs, 1st-Tier suppliers, or current manufacturers of electric vehicle drive components, suggesting that a straightforward expansion of manufacturing capacity will be the principle strategy.

Electric vehicles, while currently faced with challenges as viable modes of transportation, will continue to evolve to suit the changing face of the American market. Urban sprawl has separated working areas of a city from living areas, leading to an increase in average driving distance over the past few years. This trend is expected to continue, and is the largest single challenge to electric vehicle battery development. Initially, extended-range electric vehicles will offer an all-electric range of around 40 miles, which would be sufficient to meet the needs of the average driver. However, battery development is expected to progress quickly, with range being the first priority.

Aiding and abetting this is the expected creation of recharging infrastructure. Funds granted in this area are the lowest of the categories, though this is not expected to be problematic, as challenges here are largely those of business development. Opportunities are rampant in the infrastructure market, but will not be widely commercially viable until electric vehicles achieve significant market adoption, most likely around 2012.

Lithium may be a light metal, but it could be the next gold, speculators suggest

      Jonathan Ratner, Financial Post
      Published: Saturday, August 15, 2009

The flurry of new interest surrounding lithium as the commodity of choice for a play on the emerging electric-car market has put several once-penny stocks on investors' radars. One such name is Rodinia Minerals Inc. (RM/TSX-VEN). The Vancouver-based company saw its shares jump more than 50% this week to above 65¢. It's up 1,100% in 2009. While the recent surge of interest is a result billions of dollars in subsidies for electric vehicles such as the Chevy Volt and Nissan Leaf, rising demand for lithium-ion batteries in products such as laptops and cellphones has also helped. Rodinia has a brine deposit in Nevada, which Rick Mills at AheadoftheHeard.comsuggests might just be America's own Saudi Arabia for lithium. While the supply-demand situation for lithium is relatively balanced, if an electric-automotive industry is in fact developed, bulls on the light metal anticipate a supply shortfall in the future. At right, the Volt battery pack.

      WLC - Lithium Leader

"After more extensive dd, I have come to the conclusion that WLC Western Lithium Canada Corp. will be the leader as far as Lithium plays.

CLQ will be a very close 2nd and might surpass WLC from time to time but their share float may hamper their chances.

RM has good acreage and proximity to producers making it interesting.

MCI surely has high potential and their share float will keep them from falling. They plan on expanding their resource starting with a winter drill campaign.

LI (Lithium One) looks ok but after dd I could not find a historic resource on their James Bay claim.

      Dyodd.

      Cheers"

Clayton Valley Lithium Project Drilling Update

      August 31, 2009

Vancouver , British Columbia ... Rodinia Minerals Inc. (the “Company”) is pleased to announce that the drill permit for an initial 3 hole program in Clayton Valley, Nevada has been received. The permit is valid for one year and will allow additional holes to be drilled, provided that a letter is sent to the Nevada Land Management Office detailing further drilling and the payment of any additional bonding requirements.

The first round of drilling will be used in conjunction with the recently completed 2D reflective seismic program to generate an accurate picture detailing the geological profile of the basin. The drilling will test the northern boundary of the lithium-bearing formation with 2 holes. The other hole will test the eastern boundary to provide information on whether the Paymaster Fault is a conduit or a barrier to the lithium brines percolating into the aquifer from the lithium-bearing hard rock formations.

A tracked rotary drill rig will be used for the program and chemical testing of the water extracted from the holes will provide information on lithium content.

The lithium-bearing brines are found in layers of volcanic ash and gravels down to the basement of the basin estimated to occur at a depth of 2800'. The current round of drilling will go to a depth of 1200', deeper drilling will be considered for a future program. Production from the existing Silver Peak facility in Clayton Valley is generated from lithium brines in the volcanic ash layer at a depth of 300’.

An additional 2D reflective seismic survey is planned and will extend the current lines north from an existing production well and to the east and west boundaries of the valley.

Information and maps outlining the proposed drill program can be viewed on the Power Point presentation available on the Rodinia website www.rodiniaminerals.com.

The Company’s Annual General Meeting is scheduled for September 28, 2009 at the corporate office located at

Rodinia Minerals is seeking to ride the wave of strong long term demand for lithium

      by Jackie Steinitz

While Rodinia Minerals’ name is based on the earth’s supercontinent of a billion years ago the company itself has a new face and focus in recent weeks following a tie up with private investment bank Forbes & Manhattan. Rodinia is now switching its emphasis from uranium to lithium, with an initial focus on developing the Clayton Valley lithium brine project in Nevada which it acquired earlier this year. Specifically it is looking to become a low cost producer of lithium carbonate from brine and to ride the wave of the strong long term demand prospects for lithium by developing a mine in an established producing district in a geopolitically stable jurisdiction. It will also be looking to develop its recently acquired Strider lithium project in Manitoba and to make other lithium acquisitions, probably in South America.

In the last month or so there have been major changes to Rodinia’s board and management team with the appointment of a new CEO, Chairman, two further board members, a CFO, and VPs of exploration and corporate development. All but one have come from the Forbes and Manhattan stable and will be seeking to bring the Forbes and Manhattan philosophy to Rodinia. This, in essence, is to create shareholder value by combining a strong asset in a sector with significant growth potential with an effective management team, adequate financing and concerted marketing efforts in order to give a company an appropriate amount of leverage to achieve success. So perhaps the obvious questions are: Why the lithium sector? Why the Clayton Valley asset? And what might the new management team and the Forbes and Manhattan connection bring to the table? Taking each question in turn:

      Why the Lithium Sector?

The metal, which is the third element on the periodic table, is light, (about half the density of water), and soft, with a low melting point, high electropositivity and a high charge- and power-to-weight ratio. Its characteristics make it suitable for a number of applications; for many years lithium was a minority metal whose principal uses were in the production of ceramics, glass and a light strong aluminium alloy and in applications such as pharmaceuticals, air conditioning systems and lubricants.

However lithium demand has been galvanised by the rechargeable lithium ion battery, a technology initially investigated by Exxon in the 1970s then developed and improved by others over the last quarter century. Lithium ion batteries offer users the benefits of a high energy density to weight ratio, long life, a slow rate of discharge when not in use, and they can be manufactured to any shape or size. So they are now the favoured battery technology for a huge range of consumer electronics such as watches, cell phones, laptops, Blackberries and Ipods as well as in power tools and scientific and military equipment. Demand for lithium has therefore been growing strongly in recent years; batteries are now the principal end-use accounting for more than 25% of demand.

But the bonanza may be only just beginning if demand for hybrid and electric cars takes off as anticipated and if lithium ion batteries can replace nickel hydride as the battery of choice. Two “ifs” but, arguably, there are valid reasons for anticipating both:

      · Hybrid vehicles (which have two engines, one gasoline, one electric and which currently account for around 2.5% of the automotive market in the US) are gaining market share on the back of growing concerns about emissions, climate change, fuel economy and energy security. Market share may accelerate further in a few years as technology improves and emissions legislation tightens. Although significant demand for electric cars (as distinct from hybrids) is further down the road pending the resolution of a number of technical issues and the establishment of a network of recharging stations, it too could eventually drive the demand for auto batteries.

      · Lithium ion batteries offer a number of significant advantages over the current nickel hydride technology, particularly as they offer more energy per unit of weight. General Motors, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Ford, and BMW, amongst others, are therefore developing hybrids based on lithium. The US Government has recently committed to allocating $1bn through its Economic Stimulus Package to further develop the lithium ion battery.

Since the amount of lithium in a car battery is several thousand times higher than in a mobile phone this potential green car revolution could transform lithium demand and convert it into a strategic commodity.

On the supply side although lithium is present in many igneous rocks and some brines it is generally not found in high concentrations. There are therefore only a few mineral and brine deposits which are of sufficient size and grade to be of commercial interest. Lithium can be produced from either hard rock or from brine but the economics are now stacked very much in favour of brine as it is time, energy and cost intensive to extract it from rock. The economics of recovering lithium carbonate from brine are particularly favourable when solar evaporation can be used as this further reduces energy consumption. Recovery from brines is also environmentally friendly as nearly all the chemicals produced and used can be either recycled or sold.

In 1997 Chile took over the mantle from the US as the world’s leading producer of lithium chemicals, now accounting for 44% of world supply. Three companies are now particularly dominant in the world market; the Chilean company SQM, Chemetall Foote Corporation (a subsidiary of NYSE-listed Rockwood), which owns the neighbouring property to Rodinia and is the only producer in the US, and FMC which has an operation in Argentina. Bolivia has the potential to be bigger even than Chile as it has significant reserves but despite considerable interest by foreign companies there is no production and the government is seeking to keep foreigners at bay (see the NY Times article of 2nd February 2009, In Bolivia Untapped Bounty meets Nationalism). There is a strong incentive for the US, which currently imports some 3,000 tonnes of lithium annually, to seek a move towards self-sufficiency in lithium.

      Why the Clayton Valley asset?

Rodinia acquired what it now sees as its principal asset, the Clayton Valley lithium project in Esmerelda County, Nevada, in early 2009 when it acquired 250 unpatented mining claims in the valley from North American explorer GeoXplor and staked a further 284 claims, taking the total under its control to 50,400 acres (204 square kilometres) which represents about 90% of the valley.

The valley, which les some 350km from Las Vegas in Western Nevada has been producing lithium carbonate from brine in the Silver Peak production facility since 1967 which has a capacity of 1.2M kg of lithium per year and has produced a total of 50M kg to date. Estimated lithium reserves total 700M kgs in the valley, according to the US Geological Survey, with lithium concentrations in the brine of between 300-700 parts per million. Moreover the lithium is replenished from the surrounding rhyolite, which is the one of the most lithium-rich in the world. The brines are found in layers of volcanic ash and gravels down to an estimated depth of 2800 feet (850 metres). The infrastructure is good with power, water, rail and road links all close by.

The agreement with GeoXplor essentially gave Rodinia a 100% interest in the property in exchange for $322,000 and 2.5M shares in Rodinia (both over 4 years) and subject to a 3% royalty on lithium carbonate production and on all other ores or minerals produced (see Rodinia’s website for full details).

Clayton Valley offers the opportunity for low cost production as it is a brine mine, with low manganese content and it can be processed initially by evaporation. Moreover it has large reserves, good grades, proximity to infrastructure and a production plant, and relative proximity to key US markets.

What can the New Management Team and Forbes & Manhattan bring to the table?

The new management team, who largely come from the Forbes and Manhattan group offer a wide range of the technical and financial experience that will be required to develop Rodinia into a lithium producer. David Stein, the new CEO and President and a former mining equities analyst, has 9 years experience with asset evaluation, research and corporate finance experience. Stan Bharti, the new Chairman has 25 years experience in business, management and finance and is currently the President and CEO of Forbes and Manhattan through which he has helped to raise several billion dollars for many public and private resource companies over the past decade.

William Randall, the new VP of exploration is a geologist, born in Argentina who now specializes in lithium deposits, particularly brines in both South and North America. With the Forbes and Manhattan group now behind Rodinia it is in a much better position to develop and finance the Clayton Valley project, as well as pursue growth through acquisitions. David Stein believes that the team sets Rodinia apart from other lithium-focused junior explorers. He told Proactive Investors that “Our intention is to build a robust lithium business based on the reality of today’s price environment, rather than simply existing as an option on higher lithium prices in the future. That way, as lithium prices do increase lover the longer term, out shareholders will be in the best position to benefit”.
      Rodinia’s Next Steps

Rodinia commenced work on its lithium claims in April this year firstly conducting a 2D reflective seismic study and then a drilling programme of 3 holes. Results will be reported to the market in the near future. The company will then embark on a geophysical programme in November, with results probably in late November which in turn will provide input into the next round of drilling. This should lead to a resource calculation in early 2010, followed, if all goes well, by a feasibility study and then construction. Of course the construction time will depend on the scale of the operation but it is possible that Rodinia will be in production within two to three years. No exceptional work will be required as the infrastructure is all close to hand. Rodinia will also be looking for marketing arrangements during this time as lithium is generally sold directly to end-users.

Rodinia will also be looking to explore and possibly develop its Strider lithium project in Manitoba, which it optioned in May this year whereby Rodinia has the right to earn a 100% interest subject to a 2% net smelter return royalty in exchange for in the 14 claims with a total area of 2849 acres (11.5 square kilometres).

The company also holds a number of uranium properties in Arizona and Utah. Workman Creek has a 43-101 compliant inferred resource of 5.6M pounds of uranium while the other projects have historical though non 43-101 compliant reserves. It is possible that Rodinia will seek to divest these now that uranium is considered non-core in order to focus fully on lithium.

The company currently holds $3.5m in cash which should last until mid-2010, based on the current exploration programme.

      Summary

The maxim that past performance is no guide to future performance is perhaps particularly true in the case of Rodinia Minerals with its new focus, projects and team. Rodinia has been busy lining up all its ducks in a row. It now has an asset in a commodity with strong growth prospects. The asset has the potential to be at the lower end of the cost curve, it is in a mining friendly jurisdiction and is near a production facility in an area of known production. It has the backing of an experienced and well connected management team and a private bank.

The greatest risks and uncertainties therefore are probably the size of the resource, technical uncertainties during the period of development and future trends in lithium prices which will be driven on the demand-side by the extent of the hybrid/electric car revolution and degree of substitution away from nickel hydride and on the supply-side by developments or otherwise in Bolivia. For the moment lithium prices are steady at a ballpark price of around $3/lb (depending on specification and quality). David Stein, the new CEO of Rodinia, says that he is not a “raging bull” on lithium in the short term. He anticipates that the “Big 3” companies will keep prices low for the next few years so that lithium technology gains acceptance and to deter competition from marginal players. Prices may well grow explosively from about 2015 as the green car revolution takes hold. Rodinia’s strategy however will be to focus on low cost production with robust projects which will be able to ride the wave of growing lithium demand even if lithium prices remain low.

Rodinia Minerals Inc. to Commence New Drill Program at Claton Valley and Completes Gravity Survey - Dec 08, 2009
      www.marketwire.com/press-release/Rodinia-Minerals-Inc-TSX-VE…

"TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 8, 2009) - Rodinia Minerals Inc. ("Rodinia" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:RM), is pleased to announce that it has awarded the contract for drilling on its flagship Clayton Valley, Nevada lithium property to Layne Christensen, of Chandler, Arizona. The mobilization of drills to the property has been initiated and drilling is expected to commence as soon as possible. All environmental permits in support of the drill campaign are in place as are access agreements with surface land holders.

The drill program will focus on target areas surrounding Rockwood Holdings' Silverpeak wells within the 50,440 acres of Rodinia's 534 claims in Nevada's lithium-rich Clayton Valley. Vertical dual-tube reverse circulation drill holes of 6 inch diameter drill rods are planned to test the extensive lithium-bearing aquifers, as outlined by compiling gravity, seismic and borehole data from previously completed work in the area. Geologically, the aquifers in the Clayton Valley have many characteristics that place it among the best and most economical lithium bearing basins in the world. Results from this drilling will be used to establish a NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate.

David Stein, President and CEO, remarks, "The project has progressed very well. Work has focused at this stage on a systematic analysis of the available geological databases to prioritize the targets for initial drilling and to identify additional priority targets within the project area. Final planning for the initial targets is complete, field offices are established and we are excited for the drills to start turning. We anticipate results within approximately six weeks of collaring the first drill hole."

A surface gravity survey covering the entire 50,440 acre land package has been successfully completed. The acquired data is being processed and will be used to delineate prospective areas of the basin and set additional drill targets for the program described in this press release. Gravity surveys can describe the topography of the contact between the basement and valley sediments, allowing the location of the deeper, more prospective areas where the lithium rich brines may collect.

Rodinia Minerals Inc. Acquires Lithium Salars in Argentina - Jan 18, 2010
      www.marketwire.com/press-release/Rodinia-Minerals-Inc-Acquir…

"TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Jan. 18, 2010) - Rodinia Minerals Inc. ("Rodinia" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:RM), has entered into an agreement with Borax Argentina SA ("Borax"), a subsidiary of Rio Tinto Minerals, to acquire three separate lithium-brine projects in Salta, Argentina: the Salar de Diablillos ("Diablillos"); the Salar de Centenario ("Centenario"); and the Salar de Ratones ("Ratones").

Commenting on the acquisitions, David Stein, President and CEO said, "Today's announcement reinforces Rodinia's vision of building a long-term, low-cost producer of lithium brine. In conjunction with our flagship Clayton Valley project in Nevada, and our previous Argentine acquisition of Salinas Grandes, the acquisitions of Diablillos, Centenario and Ratones builds a strong position in South America, and a stable of high quality lithium brine exploration projects. We plan to work diligently over the coming months to review and prioritize our pipeline of brine prospects".

      Diablillos
The Diablillos land package comprises 2,700 hectares and represents the central three-quarters of the entire salar (the "Diablillos Property"). Pursuant to the option agreement entered into between the Company and Borax (the "Diablillos Option Agreement"), the Company has the option to acquire a 100% interest in the lithium-rich brines located on the Diablillos Property. Previously completed studies on the brine chemistry in Diablillos concluded lithium concentrations averaging 960 milligrams per liter with a reported magnesium-to-lithium ratio of 3.96 (Alonso, 1999; Alonso, Jordan, Tabbutt & Vandervoort, 1991; Alonso & Viramonte, 1990). These studies and data are historical in nature and are not National Instrument 43-101 ("NI 43-101") compliant. Accordingly, such historical data should not be relied upon. Pursuant to the terms of the Diablillos Option Agreement, Borax will grant the Company a three year exploration licence to explore the lithium bearing brines and a subsequent forty year mining licence to acquire all recovered metals and minerals from such brines. The mining licence will commence upon the earlier of: (i) the expiry of the exploration licence; or (ii) at the discretion of the Company and may be renewed for an additional 40 year term in accordance with Argentine mining law. In consideration, the Company shall pay Borax an aggregate of USD$1,944,000 as follows: (i) USD$500,000 on or before January 25, 2010; (ii) USD $500,000 on or before July 15, 2010; and (iii) USD$944,000 on or before November 30, 2010. In addition, Borax shall retain a 1.5% net smelter return royalty with respect to the Diablillos Property (the "NSR"). The Company has the option to purchase the NSR for USD$1,500,000 at any time during the term of the Diablillos Option Agreement.

William Randall, Vice President, Exploration commented "Diablillos is reportedly the highest grade salar in the Argentine Puna, ranking alongside the best lithium bearing salars. The project is also adjacent to Silver Standard's silver-gold deposit of the same name, and only 11 kilometres from Salar del Hombre Muerto where FMC Lithium Corporation has its operating mine. As such, the project has excellent infrastructure for the area."

      Centenario and Ratones
The Centenario land package comprises 682 hectares (the "Centenario Property") and the Ratones land package comprises 600 hectares (the "Ratones Property"), both of which are located in the Province of Salta, Argentina.

Pursuant to the option agreement entered into between the Company and Borax with respect to the Centenario Property (the "Centenario Option Agreement"), the Company may acquire a 100% interest in the Centenario Project by paying Borax an aggregate of USD$774,711 as follows: (i) USD$154,711 on or before January 25, 2010; (ii) USD$170,000 on or before July 15, 2010; and (iii) USD$450,000 on or before November 30, 2010. In addition, Borax shall retain a 1% net smelter return royalty with respect to the Centenario Property (the "NSR"). The Company has the option to purchase the NSR for USD$1,000,000 at any time during the term of the Centenario Option Agreement.

To acquire a 100% interest in the Ratones Property, the Company is required to pay Borax an aggregate of US$180,000 as follows: (i) USD$100,000 on or before January 25, 2010; and (ii) USD$80,000 on or before July 15, 2010.

"Based on historical studies, these properties are both believed to have lithium-rich brines with good potential, and enable Rodinia to carry out its exploration and development plans securely," said William Randall. Centenario's subsurface brines reportedly contain 400 milligrams per litre lithium, while brines within Ratones contain 600 milligrams per litre lithium (Alonso, 1999; Alonso, Jordan, Tabbutt & Vandervoort, 1991; Alonso & Viramonte, 1990). These studies and data are historical in nature and are not NI 43-101 compliant. Accordingly, such historical data should not be relied upon. Borax will retain the rights to mine the surface phase borates at Ratones.

"In addition to its exploration potential, Ratones is within 8 kilometres of Diablillos and connected by an existing road. The close proximity of these projects provides for a lot of production alternatives, including multiple options for the construction of evaporation ponds. The Centenario properties have installations and infrastructure such as housing, weigh scales and storage facilities," said David Stein. "All in all, the addition of these three projects reinforces Rodinia's position in South America."

"TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - May 26, 2010) - Rodinia Minerals Inc. ("Rodinia" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:RM)(OTCQX:RDNAF), announces completed phase II sample results from its auger drill exploration program on its Salar de Diablillos lithium-brine project in Salta, Argentina ("Diablillos" or the "Salar") (See Press Releases dated March 1, 2010 and April 20, 2010).

Based on the completed sampling program of 102 sample holes, the Diablillos auger drill exploration program returned lithium ("Li") values of up to 1,000 milligrams per litre ("mg/L") and potassium ("K") values of up to 11,000 mg/L. Focusing on the nucleus of the Salar, which the Company believes represents the highest probability for production (see Figure 1 below), results returned average Li of 868 mg/L and average K of 9,300 mg/L with favourable magnesium ("Mg") to Li ratio of 3.98 and attractive sulphate ratio of 5.33 SO4:Li. The results also indicate that the higher-grade Salar nucleus is open to the east. Previously reported results for the auger drill program were based on a total of 30 sample holes. The full set of results reinforces the Company's belief that Diablillos may contain high concentrations of lithium and potash and that the project may have the potential to become a lithium carbonate producer. The Company remains encouraged by the presence of near-surface brines that contain similar, and in many instances higher, lithium and potash concentrations to other established brine developers in South America.

The program successfully covered a large portion of the Salar which returned average results of 724 mg/L Li, 7,975 mg/L K, 3.97 Mg:Li, and 6.66 SO4:Li. The easternmost portion of the Salar could not be sampled due to the presence of "caliche", a hard calcium carbonate layer overlying the lithium bearing brines. This caliche layer was also encountered in certain holes throughout the Salar and could not be penetrated by the auger drill. Work completed thus far indicates that this caliche layer could be penetrated by a standard rig, by either reverse circulation or diamond drilling. In general, lithium values decreased towards the salar margins to the north and south, however drilling will be required to establish whether this trend is consistent at depth. Rodinia anticipates that it will commence an RC drilling program shortly to test the depth of the aquifer, as well as the lithium potential under the areas covered by hard caliche.

Figure 1 – Sampling Contour Map, Salar de Diablillos

To view Figure 1 – Sampling Contour Map, Salar de Diablillos, please visit the following link: http://media3.marketwire.com/docs/RM0526.jpg.

Throughout the auger sampling, Rodinia employed a sampling procedure designed to ensure sample integrity by minimizing contamination of brine samples through the dissolution of overlying sediments and evaporates that may be enriched in lithium. All the holes were drilled to a depth sufficient to ensure penetration of the overlying clay layer, which varies in thickness between one and over three metres. Below the clays, a medium to coarse-grained sand aquifer was encountered containing high-grade lithium brine in its porous space. A historical drill hole in the south eastern margin of the Salar indicates the presence of this aquifer to a vertical depth of at least 75 metres, with material coarsening at depth to a coarse basal conglomerate (SEGEMAR; www.segemar.gov.ar).

Sample integrity was maintained by pushing four inch casing down into the hole and pumping, where possible, the contents of the hole. The hole was then left to refill from the aquifer below, ensuring proper representation of brine geochemistry. This brine was then sampled and decanted before collection in sealed plastic containers that had been previously rinsed in the same brine. All samples were sent to ALS Laboratory Group, Environmental Division, in Fort Collins, CO, USA where Rodinia is sending both its Diablillos and Clayton Valley project samples.

All exploration and drilling initiatives undertaken by Rodinia is supervised by William Randall MSc (Geology), the Vice President Exploration of Rodinia. Mr. Randall is a qualified person, as defined by National Instrument 43-101, and he has reviewed and approved the scientific and technical information in this release. According to the Company's sampling protocol, sample size is to exceed 300 millilitres and be stored in clean, secure containers for transportation. The prepared samples are then forwarded to the ALS Laboratory Group, Environmental Division, in Fort Collins, CO (USA) for analysis. A rigorous QA/QC program is implemented consisting of regular insertion of standards and blanks to ensure laboratory integrity.

      Hallo Picker,

"TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 17, 2010) - Rodinia Minerals Inc. ("Rodinia" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:RM)(PINK SHEETS:RDNAF)(OTCQX:RDNAF), is pleased to announce the advancement of its exploration program at its Salar de Diablillos lithium-brine project in Salta, Argentina ("Diablillos"). "We are encouraged by our ability to define a high-grade lithium-potash zone with our auger drill exploration program and are excited to commence the next phase of exploration at Diablillos" remarked William Randall, President and CEO of Rodinia. "Starting our first standard reverse circulation ("RC") drill program at Diablillos marks another key milestone for the Company and one, we anticipate, may provide significant support in establishing a NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate for the property." (See Press Releases dated March 1, April 20, and May 26, 2010 for auger drill results at Diablillos).

Rodinia has engaged Quantec Geoscience Argentina S.A., a subsidiary of Quantec Geoscience Ltd. of Toronto, Canada to conduct a gravity survey of the Diablillos property and the Company anticipates receiving this analysis before finalizing the initial drill targets.

In addition, the Company has awarded the contract for drilling at Diablillos to Compañia Argentina de Perforaciones S.A., a reputable drill supply and contracting company in Argentina. The mobilization of the drill is expected to commence shortly. All drilling and environmental permits in support of the drill campaign are in place, as are access agreements with surface land holders.

Raymond P. Spanjers, MSc. (Geology), Rodinia's Manager of Exploration will be running the drill program at Diablillos. Mr. Spanjers, a licensed Professional Geologist, has 29 years experience in industrial mineral exploration, plant and mine management. Prior to joining Rodinia, Mr. Spanjers spent 10 years with FMC Lithium Division where he explored for lithium brine deposits in Nevada and the Andean Puna of Argentina to identify potential production sites. Mr. Spanjers has also spent time exploring for and mining lithium deposits of spodumene pegmatites in the King's Mountain Belt of North Carolina. He also oversaw the Company's last drill campaign on its Clayton Valley Project in Nevada, USA.

Mr. Spanjers and his team in Argentina will explore across the entire salar with up to 32 drill holes using a standard RC drill rig. It is anticipated that initial drill targets will be prioritized based on an extensive review of the previously completed auger drill samples and the gravity survey to be received from Quantec Geoscience. The Company anticipates drilling under this program to occur to depths between 50 and 250 metres.

All exploration and drilling initiatives undertaken by Rodinia are supervised by William Randall, MSc (Geology), the President and CEO of Rodinia. Habe heute Rodinia mal kurz gegen Orocobre quer gecheckt.

Rodinia Lithium Inc.'s Auger Drilling Extends Near Surface High-Grade Lithium-Potash Zone 1.5 km at Salar de Diablillos
      - Exploration Program Continues to Deliver Positive Results

      - Auger Drill Program has Expanded the High-Grade Nucleus Another 1.5 km on Strike

      - Entire Sampled Salar is Mineralized Averaging 680 mg/L Lithium, 7,400 mg/L Potassium, and 669 mg/L Boron

      - Salar Nucleus Averaging 845 mg/L Lithium, 9,092 mg/L Potassium, and 762 mg/L Boron

      - Auger Results Are Encouraging for the Ongoing Reverse Circulation Discovery Drill Program

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 24, 2010) - Rodinia Lithium Inc. ("Rodinia" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:RM)(OTCQX:RDNAF), is pleased to report further sample results from its auger drill exploration program on its Salar de Diablillos lithium-brine project in Salta, Argentina ("Diablillos" or the "Salar"). The completion of an additional 38 sample holes has extended the previously defined 2.5 km by 4.0 km high-grade lithium-potash zone near surface by an additional 1.5 km along strike (see Press Release dated May 26, 2010 for additional details on the original high-grade zone definition).

William Randall, President and CEO of Rodinia, commented "It is encouraging that these additional auger drill holes have intersected grades similar to the previous auger drilling and has extended our high-grade zone an additional 1.5 km. We now have additional areas to target with our ongoing reverse circulation drilling. Coupling these results with drill hole D-RC-01 announced last week, which demonstrated a continuous aquifer to depths of at least 120 metres, provides additional support for the potential to delineate a large scale resource at Diablillos" (see Press Release dated September 17, 2010 for additional details on drill hole D-RC-01).

Based on the completed sampling program of 140 sample holes, the Diablillos auger drill exploration program returned lithium ("Li") values of up to 1,000 milligrams per litre ("mg/L") and potassium ("K") values of up to 11,000 mg/L. Focusing on the nucleus of the Salar, which the Company believes represents the highest probability for production (see Figure 1 below), results returned average Li of 845 mg/L, average K of 9,092 mg/L, and 762 mg/L boron ("B") with favourable magnesium ("Mg") to Li ratio of 3.75 and an attractive sulphate to lithium ratio. Previously reported results for the auger drill program were based on a total of 102 sample holes. The full set of results reinforce the Company's belief that Diablillos may contain high concentrations of lithium, potash and boron and that the project has the potential to become a lithium carbonate producer. The Company remains encouraged by the presence of near-surface brines that contain similar, and in many instances higher, lithium and potash concentrations to other established brine developers in South America.

The completed auger program successfully covered a large portion of the Salar which returned average results of 680 mg/L Li, 7,400 mg/L K, 669 mg/L B, 3.75 Mg:Li, and 10.73 SO4:Li. Certain portions of the salar and its margins could not be sampled due to more extensive overburden material. The auger drill has been modified to be able to successfully penetrate the hard calcium carbonate layers commonly encountered, therefore enabling the additional sampling reported in this press release. In general, lithium values decreased towards the salar margins to the north and south, however drilling will be required to establish whether this trend is consistent at depth. Rodinia has a reverse circulation drill program underway on the Salar, which amongst other things will test the depth of the aquifer, as well as the lithium potential under the areas sampled by the auger drill.

To view Figure 1 – Sampling Contour Map, Salar de Diablillos, please visit the following link: http://media3.marketwire.com/docs/RMimage.jpg

Rodinia has also recently completed a reverse circulation discovery drill hole, drill hole D-RC-01, which indicated the presence of this aquifer to a vertical depth of at least 120 metres.

The Project is supervised by William Randall, MSc (Geology), the President and CEO of Rodinia, and by Ray Spanjers, Rodinia's Manager of Exploration. Both Messrs. Randall and Spanjers are considered qualified persons, as defined by National Instrument 43-101, and both have reviewed and approved the scientific and technical information in this release.

P.Grandich ist ein Name mit Gewicht.................

Is Rodinia Lithium the Next Headline Lithium Name?
      by Peter Grandich

      www.grandich.com

One of the lithium exploration companies that is aggressively moving to capitalize on the burgeoning demand for lithium is Rodinia Lithium Inc. (TSXV: RM). Rodinia has been busily putting the pieces together to become a significant player in the strategic metal expected to power 250 million electric cars by 2020.

Rodinia is focused on lithium brine production because they believe the harvesting process produces superior economics to production from hard rock deposits. And, like other competitors, Rodinia has a key project located in Argentina.

Rodinia’s Diablillos project in Argentina may be a hidden gem. Based on available public information, Diablillos ranks at the top of the class amongst Argentine salars for average lithium and potassium grades, and has favorable magnesium and sulphate levels. Additionally, Rodinia has secured control of 90% of the salar and 100% of the salar nucleus, ensuring a fast track through the legal and permitting processes.

Luxury 1: high grade. Luxury 2: no sharing issues.

Besides a top Argentine project, Rodinia has secured all the prospective lithium brine bearing land in Clayton Valley, Nevada, surrounding the Chemetall operation that is the only lithium carbonate producer in North America. In Clayton Valley, Rodinia has a significant land position, in a mining friendly jurisdiction, with significant indications of lithium that is in close proximity to a massive domestic end market for automobiles and lithium batteries. Two projects are many times better than one, and to have them in two separate but equally strategic geographies is good and something many of its competitors don’t have.

Luxury 3: project diversity. Luxury 4: proximity to significant end market.

William Randall, CEO, and Ray Sapnjers, Manager of Exploration, both have previous lithium exploration experience. Other lithium explorers have mining experience, but very few have lithium backgrounds. Luxury 5: lithium experience.

With drilling programs underway in Argentina and expected to restart in Nevada shortly, Rodinia is poised to make lithium headlines.

      Insiders participated in the financing

      PokerSubstitute19/27/2010 7:56:42 PM

Good news longs: a whopping 5 insiders participated in the private placement! To have one insider participate is a good sign, but five!?

This stock seems extremely undervalued given the last two news releases: these releases stretched out the lithium horizontally and at depth. Particularly the news that the lithium runs 120 metres deep (and could run deeper, that was just the depth of the drill) makes this stock comparatively very cheap in comparison with others in the lithium space.

I would agree with previous posters that this stock seemed to attract day trader at the 30 cent and below range. Once they take their profits and clear out, I think the stock will run. Especially given that there are tonnes of releases on the way. If we see more drills hitting lithium at 120 metres I'd have to say this has the potential for a multibag.

By the way, the supposed insider sell of 150,000 shares recently was actually a mistake. There was no insider sell.

      "..........Reason's for RM:

Clayton Valley is home to the only lithium producer in the United States. This plant extracts lithium from brines pumped from aquifers below the valley and has been in production since 1967.
Rodinia’s property is adjacent to this production facility.

Rodinia now has a total of 45,440 acres under its control, accounting for approximately 90% of the valley.

      http://www.rodinialithium.com/_resources/cv_location_aerial.…

So RM has 90% of the land adjacent to the only Lithium Producer in the United States a country that will buy more Lithium Products than any other for years to come. Even if the only Lithium Producer in the United States is happy with their situation and do not want to grow operations how long do you think it would take another operater to set up shop on the 90% owned by RM.

Best of Luck to all and all IMHO!.........."

      NEWS - Nachtrag von gestern!

Rodinia survey shows basin matches high-grade zones

      2010-09-29 08:37 ET - News Release

      Mr. Aaron Wolfe reports

RODINIA LITHIUM INC. ANNOUNCES INCREASED RESOURCE POTENTIAL AT SALAR DE DIABLILLOS BASED ON INDEPENDENT GRAVITY SURVEY

Rodinia Lithium Inc. has received the results from a gravity survey covering its Salar de Diablillos lithium-brine project in Salta, Argentina. The gravity survey was completed by Quantec Geoscience Argentina SA, a subsidiary of Quantec Geoscience Ltd. of Toronto, Canada. The gravity survey allows for the estimation of basement depth and potential aquifers contained within the basin, and will be an invaluable tool during the resource estimation process.

William Randall, president and chief executive officer of Rodinia, commented: "The results from the gravity survey are extremely encouraging, as they define a basin capable of hosting potentially significant resources of lithium, potash, and boron. We are pleasantly surprised to find that the basin extends further north than anticipated, beyond the visible salar surface, and to note that the deepest parts of the basin remain untested. Given the positive drill results announced Sept. 17, we feel confident in the economic potential of this deposit given the depth and extent of the inferred aquifers." (See news in Stockwatch on Sept. 17, 2010, for additional details on drill hole D-RC-01.)

The gravity survey results show basement depths that exceed 390 metres from the salar surface and suggest an extension of the potentially mineralized horizons farther north beyond the Salar surface by an additional 2.0 kilometres.:D

The results estimate the deepest portion of the basin, with depths approaching 400 metres, to be in the northern and northeastern region of the salar. This region coincides, in part, with the high-grade zones defined on surface (see news in Stockwatch on Sept. 24, 2010, and in Stockwatch on May 26, 2010) and indicates that reverse circulation drill hole D-RC-01 was drilled very close to basement depth. The deepest areas of the salar have not yet been tested by the current drill program.

Results received from the gravity survey are being processed to produce an estimate of the basin volume and to aid in the current drilling program. The company plans to release additional results as they become available.

All exploration and drilling initiatives undertaken by Rodinia are supervised by William Randall, MSc (geology), the president and chief executive officer of Rodinia, and by Ray Spanjers, Rodinia's manager of exploration. Both Mr. Randall and Mr. Spanjers are considered qualified persons, as defined by National Instrument 43-101, and Mr. Randall has reviewed and approved the scientific and technical information in this release.

Rodinia Lithium Inc. Reports Additional High-Grade Lithium-Potash Brines at Salar De Diablillos

      - EXPLORATION PROGRAM ENCOUNTERS AVERAGE 607 mg/L LITHIUM, 6,877 mg/L POTASSIUM, AND 794 mg/L BORON TO A DEPTH OF 150 METRES

      - SECOND REVERSE CIRCULATION DRILL HOLE CONFIRMS HIGH-GRADE LITHIUM OVER 1 KM WEST OF FIRST HOLE

      - DRILLING CONTINUES TO INTERSECT PREDOMINANTLY SAND AND GRAVEL LITHOLOGIES WITH FLOW RATES UP TO 300 LITRES PER MINUTE

      - FURTHER HOLES BEING PLANNED TO TARGET NORTHERN EXTENSION DELINEATED BY RECENT GRAVITY SURVEY

      - THE ONGOING DISCOVERY EXPLORATION PROGRAM IS EXPECTED TO DEFINE A NI 43-101 COMPLIANT RESOURCE ESTIMATE FOR THE SALAR BY THE END OF THE YEAR

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 5, 2010) - Rodinia Lithium Inc. ("Rodinia" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:RM)(OTCQX:RDNAF), is pleased to report that it has encountered additional high-grade lithium and potash in its second reverse circulation drill hole of its first exploration program on its Salar de Diablillos lithium-brine project in Salta, Argentina ("Diablillos" or the "Salar"). The Company continues to be encouraged by the results of the exploration program and believes, based on the results of the first two drill holes and the gravity survey data, that they may be indicative of a sizeable, continuous aquifer capable of becoming a producer.

William Randall, President and CEO of Rodinia, commented "It is encouraging that this second drill hole has intersected similarly high-grades of lithium, potassium and boron as our first drill hole, only now to depths of 150 metres and nearer the Salar margin. The results of two drill holes over 1 kilometre apart, and the geophysical data available, provides further encouragement for the potential to delineate a large scale resource. Rodinia continues to execute on the first ever drill campaign for new lithium and potash on Diablillos and is working to define a National Instrument 43-101 compliant resource estimate on the Salar by year's end."

Results from drill hole D-RC-02, the second drill hole completed on the project, intersected lithium ("Li") values of up to 690 milligrams per litre ("mg/L") and returned averages of 607 mg/L Li, 6,877 mg/L potassium ("K"), and 794 mg/L boron ("B") over the 150 metre drill hole depth. The hole, located towards the Salar margin, intersected lithologies primarily composed of sand and gravel, with coarser material encountered down hole. The zone continues to be open at depth and in all directions.

The lithium concentrations measured in the drill hole range from 410 to 690 mg/L, demonstrating a remarkably even grade distribution over the aquifer, and indicating the potential of the entire stratigraphic column as a possible producer. Samples were taken every six metres to ensure different characteristics of the brine column were captured, with the intention of identifying the horizons with the most potential for production. The geochemistry of the brine samples remained comparable to those encountered during auger drilling (see previous press release dated May 26, 2010) and during the drilling of hole D-RC-01 (see previous press release dated September 17, 2010), with average magnesium-to-lithium ratio of 4.37 and a sulphate-to-lithium ratio of 17.5.

A sampling procedure was enforced by management to ensure sample integrity during the drill program. Where possible, brine and sediments samples were air lifted, and water restricted to the upper part of the hole before the water table was intercepted. Once brine bearing horizons were intercepted, drilling was halted and the drilling pipe lifted 2 feet or more to allow the total flushing of the internal pipe by means of air pressure for approximately ten minutes or until the brine appeared reasonably clean of sediment. After sufficient air lifting of the brine, a sample was collected in 500 ml sample bottles that had been washed three times with the brine. Liquid was also collected in five gallon buckets and the time of filling of the bucket recorded, in order to aid in quantifying the formational flow.

Rodinia has completed 9 drill holes on the newly discovered Salar de Diablillos basin. Generally, the holes intersected unconsolidated sand and gravel saturated with high salinity brines. Flow rates in the sand and gravels have been highly variable ranging from 40 litres per minute to 1,080 litres per minute, including artesian conditions in some drill holes. The Company intends to provide updated information on the remaining drill holes upon receipt of assay results from the laboratory.

      * Lithium demand seen doubling by 2020

      * Push for fuel economy through hybrids, EVs boosts demand

      * Battery makers, automakers buying stakes in miners

      * Producers see benefits of diversifying production

      By Julie Gordon
TORONTO, Oct 7 (Reuters) - Lithium miners are reaping the benefits of a political and industry push to get more electric vehicles on the road, with shares in some Canadian-listed miners up more than 50 percent in the past two months................

Looking ahead, companies with promising properties like Rodinia Lithium (RM.V), Lithium One (LI.V) and Western Lithium (WLC.V) could become takeover targets, said Hykawy

And with demand soaring, there is space for two or three of the junior miners to grow into major players, analysts say....

GE Plans Biggest Electric-Vehicle Order in ‘Huge’ Industry Step

By Rachel Layne and Alan Ohnsman

Oct. 29 (Bloomberg) -- GeneralElectric Co. may jump-startthe electric-vehicle industry with an order that Chief ExecutiveOfficer Jeffrey Immeltsaid will be the largest in history.

GE, whose power-generation equipment provides a third ofthe world’s electricity, will order “tens of thousands” of thevehicles in about a week, Immelt said yesterday in a speech inLondon, without giving a total or identifying a manufacturer.

“This is a huge step up,” said Brett Smith, avehicletechnology analyst at the Center for Automotive Research in AnnArbor, Michigan. “It’s the biggest order to date I’m aware of,by a lot.”

Expanding the world’s fleet of electric vehicles wouldbolster GE as it expands so-called clean-energy technology suchas car chargers, solar panels and wind turbines. For everydollar of electric-vehicle sales, GE estimates it may get 10cents in revenue, said Gary Sheffer, aspokesman.

Immelt said half of GE’s sales force of about 45,000 willdrive electric vehicles. The Fairfield, Connecticut-basedcompany also has a vehicle-leasing division through its GECapital finance unit. Financial terms and other details aboutthe order aren’t yet being disclosed, GE said.

GE is investing $10 billion over the next five years incleanenergy across its business lines, including power-transmission software and so-called smart-grid technologies. Itsproducts include lithium-ion batteries for cars and trucks via aventure with A123Systems Inc. and sodium-based batteries foruse in large vehicles such as locomotives.

      Creating Jobs

That spending creates jobs, Immelt told executives at anevent sponsored by the University of Cambridge’s Programme forSustainability Leadership.

“GE has been one of the biggest players in this game andcertainly has a lot to gain from the electric vehicle,” Smithsaid. “They’ve really truly tried to push this hard to getthings going, and it seems to be a core corporate value.”

An order the size of GE’s probably would come from severalvehicle makers, Smith said.

Automakers preparing to sell vehicles powered solely bybatteries over the next 18 months include NissanMotor Co.,which starts delivering Leaf hatchbacks late this year; FordMotor Co., readying electric versions of its Transit Connectdelivery van and Focus compact car; and ToyotaMotor Corp.,which will sell a rechargeable RAV4 sport-utility vehicle.

GeneralMotors Co. begins delivering plug-in Volt hybridsthis year, and HondaMotor Co., Chrysler LLC, Bayerische MotorenWerke AG and other large brands are preparing battery vehiclesdue by 2012.

      Global Outlook

Combined deliveries of hybrids, such as Toyota’s Prius, andbattery-powered cars may reach 5.2 million by 2020, according toan Oct. 27 forecast by J.D. Power & Associates. That would beabout 7.3 percent of the projected global vehicle market.

Immelt used his remarks in London to renew his call forincreased private spending on renewable-energy investments.

“Now is exactly the time, because it’s less popular, wherewe have to invest more,” Immelt said. “We have to do it morecourageously. And we’re going to have to go forward for a whilewithout government at our backs.”

GE Energy Infrastructure is the company’s biggestindustrialunit, accounting for $37 billion of the parentcompany’s $157 billion in revenue last year.

GE is the largest shareholder for Watertown, Massachusetts-based A123, which has signed agreements with NavistarInternational Corp. and Fisker Automotive Inc. to supplyadvanced batteries for their vehicles.

Rodinia Lithium Inc. Hits Lithium Fountain Grading 540 mg/l at Salar de Diablillos

      - Artesian Brine Intersected in Last Three Drill Holes with Values up to 540 mg/l Lithium, 5500 mg/l Potassium, 660 mg/l Boron and a Mg:Li Ratio of 3.33

      - Exploration Program Continues to Deliver Positive Drill Results, Expanding Zone Approximately 4 km East and 4.5 km South of D-RC-01

      - Significant Intercepts Include 510 mg/l Lithium Over 90 Metres and 530 mg/l Lithium Over 72 Metres in D-RC-03 and D-RC-04 Respectively

      - Artesian Lithium Brine Remained Unabated and Density Increased Over a 3 Day Span With a Pressure and Velocity That Pushed The Artesian Column Approximately 13 Metres Above the Salar Surface (Please see Figure 1)

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 4, 2010) - Rodinia Lithium Inc. ("Rodinia" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:RM)(OTCQX:RDNAF), is pleased to report that it continues to intersect high-grade lithium and potash in its reverse circulation drilling exploration program on its Salar de Diablillos lithium-brine project in Salta, Argentina ("Diablillos" or the "Salar"). The Company remains encouraged by the results of the exploration program and reinforces its belief that the project has the potential to become a lithium, potash and boric acid producer in the near future.

William Randall, President and CEO of Rodinia, commented "the fact that we are routinely intersecting artesian conditions containing high grade lithium values is, in our opinion, extremely positive. We believe that these results indicate that the subsurface brines are spouting to surface and increasing in salinity and density as they continue to flow. This is a rare phenomenon which may add significant value to the project. Equally exciting is the fact that we intersected these brines in the southern portion of the basin where, based on our auger drilling, we expected lower grade brines due to the proximity of the river. In our opinion these results indicate the potential for the majority of the basin to contain lithium rich brines."

Results from the most recent five drill holes are summarized in Table 1. All the holes reported in this press release are open at depth and in all directions, bound only by the basin limits. The reverse circulation drill holes were drilled vertically to ensure proper representation of the stratigraphic column. As in the previous drill holes the distribution of lithium concentrations over the hole are remarkably even, suggesting that our entire stratigraphic column below the near surface clays represents a single aquifer, composed primarily of sands and gravels. The clay content in all holes drilled to date has been low to negligible.

The project is supervised by Ray Spanjers, Rodinia's Manager of Exploration. Mr Spanjers is considered a qualified person, as defined by National Instrument 43-101, and has reviewed and approved the scientific and technical information in this release. According to the Company's sampling protocol, sample size is to exceed 500 millilitres and be stored in clean, secure containers for transportation. The prepared samples are then forwarded to the ALS Laboratory Group, Environmental Division, in Fort Collins, Co (USA) for analysis. A rigorous QA/QC program is implemented consisting of regular insertion of standards and blanks to ensure laboratory integrity.

"TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 6, 2010) - Rodinia Lithium Inc. The Company has commissioned a second drill which is already operational on the property as a result of the successful exploration program and to ensure timely delivery of an initial resource estimate.

William Randall, President and CEO of Rodinia, commented "we continue to intersect high quality lithium brines in the southern portion of the Salar. Hole D-RC-11 is remarkable in that we have intersected 204 metres of high grade mineralized brines in a single aquifer composed almost exclusively of sand and gravel. These conditions are extremely favourable, especially in an area we did not have high expectations for. The drills have now moved to the northern portion of the Salar where the higher grade brines are expected, based on the auger drill results."

Results from the latest four drill holes are summarized in Table 1. All the holes reported in this press release were drilled in the southern lower grade portion of the Salar as determined by the surface auger drilling. The reverse circulation drill holes were drilled vertically to ensure proper representation of the stratigraphic column. As in the previous drill holes, the distribution of lithium concentrations over the hole are remarkably even, suggesting that the entire stratigraphic column below the near surface clays represents a single aquifer, composed primarily of sands and gravels. The clay content in all holes drilled to date has been low to negligible. Holes D-RC-10 and D-RC-11 both may have encountered basement rocks towards the bottom of the hole where schistose material was detected in the cuttings. The depths at which the basement is thought to have been encountered are substantially greater than those predicted by the gravity survey, increasing the potential value of the basin.

Rodinia Lithium Inc. Completes Initial Exploration Program at Salar De Diablillos, Argentina
      - Drilling Intersects 66 Metres Grading 629 mg/L Li, 7600 mg/L K, 491 mg/L B With Average 3.21 Mg:Li

      - Exploration Program Defines a Mineralized Area of 32 Square Kilometres Covering the Entire Salar and Margins

      - Drilling at Depth Exceeds the Predicted Gravity Model

      - Excellent Porosity Values Average 38.4% Over the Surveyed Stratigraphy

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Jan. 13, 2011) - Rodinia Lithium Inc. ("Rodinia" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:RM)(OTCQX:RDNAF), is pleased to report that it has completed its initial exploration program on its Salar de Diablillos lithium brine project in Salta, Argentina ("Diablillos" or the "Salar"). The Company has successfully completed 16 reverse circulation drill holes covering the Salar to depths of up to 264 metres. In addition the Company has completed surface gravity and down hole geophysical surveys that will allow the estimation of the basin volume and porosity, respectively.

William Randall, President and CEO of Rodinia, commented "this is a major milestone in the development of the Company. We now have the data required to complete an initial resource estimate, which will shift the Company into a more prominent position within the lithium mining sector. We are very excited about the results of the exploration program, having defined a mineralized area of approximately 3,200 hectares that exceeds the boundaries of the Salar itself and extends to significant depths, the majority of which is comprised of highly porous material averaging 38 percent porosity."

Results from the last five drill holes are summarized in Table 1. The reverse circulation drill holes were drilled vertically to ensure proper representation of the stratigraphic column. As in the previous drill holes the stratigraphy is composed primarily of sands and gravels. The clay content in all holes drilled to date continues to be low to negligible. The five holes did not reach basement rock and are open at depth; in many cases the lithium grade has increased slightly at depth.

Preliminary down hole geophysical data have been received and indicate porosity values generally ranging from 20 to 60%, with an average value for all surveyed holes of 38.4%. This figure represents the void space that is potentially occupied by lithium-rich brines within the mineralized aquifers. The average porosity values for individual surveyed holes are shown in Table 2.

As previously announced (November 17, 2010) AMEC Internacional Ingeniería y Construcción Limitada ("AMEC") has been contracted to complete an initial mineral resource estimate for the Salar under the guidelines of National Instrument 43-101. Management anticipates being able to provide an update on this process over the next several weeks.

The Project is supervised by Ray Spanjers, Rodinia's Manager of Exploration. Mr. Spanjers is considered a qualified person, as defined by National Instrument 43-101, and has reviewed and approved the scientific and technical information in this release.

"Impressive Results from the Salar De Diablillos Exploration Program:Rodinia Lithium announced the completion of its initial explorationdrill program at Salar De Diablillos, Argentina in advance of anexpected NI 43-101 resource estimate. The results released are the lastsix drill holes of 16 total holes that will be used to determine aresource estimate. Lithium concentrations range from 527 mg/l to 649mg/l over intervals of 18 to 66m. Additionally, the Mg:Li ratios are allunder 4, and the SO4:Mg ratios range from 3.5 to 4.5. These are greatindicators of lower operating costs. These results, in conjunction withprior results, show continuity in the brine, and five of the holesremain open at depth. The released porosity values were an extremelypositive surprise averaging 38.4% over the surveyed stratigraphy. Thiswill allow for higher flow rates of brine extraction, improved salarrecovery and possibly increased production.
? Upcoming ResourceEstimate is Next Major Catalyst: With the completion of this drillprogram, there is enough data to complete an initial resource estimatefor Rodinia’s Salar De Diabillos. We expect the initial NI 43-101 to bereleased imminently. We believe that with Salar De Diablillos, Rodiniahas one of the top five junior exploration brine projects. We reiterateour Speculative Buy recommendation and maintain our target price of$2.25."

      - Anticipate initial resource estimate data within 4 weeks

      - Drilling to recommence at Diablillos targeting deeper aquifer depths within the basin

      - Production wells and pump tests being designed to determine production capacity of the Salar

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 10, 2011) - Rodinia Lithium Inc. ("Rodinia" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:RM)(OTCQX:RDNAF), is pleased to report that it has recommenced and augmented its work program on the Salar de Diablillos lithium brine project in Salta, Argentina ("Diablillos" or the "Salar"). The Company plans to advance the project to the next stage and determine the potential productivity of the Salar. The Company plans to drill further exploration holes to assess the lithium, potash and boron mineralization within the Salar and intends to establish the basement depths. In addition, production and monitoring wells are being designed from which pump tests and basin hydrological monitoring can be performed. These wells will serve to optimize pumping rates and well distribution, as the Company moves through development and towards production. All drilling equipment and permits required for the work have been secured.

William Randall, President and CEO of Rodinia, commented "we are extremely encouraged by recent events and results, which management believes are indicative of what a preliminary initial resource estimate may look like for the Salar de Diablillos. With this information, and funds from a recently completed equity financing, we believe it is the right time to step up the development program. We believe Diablillos can be developed into a world-class lithium-potash asset and we now have the required funds to make significant advancements and delineate the production potential."

The project has an average magnesium to lithium ratio ("Mg:Li") of 3.68 and an average sulphate to lithium ratio ("SO4:Li") of 14.48.

William Randall, President and CEO of Rodinia, commented "this resource estimate positions Diablillos amongst the premiere lithium and potash bearing salars in the world. This represents one of the largest estimated brine resources in the world. In addition to its size, the brine geochemistry is favourable with low magnesium-to-lithium and sulfate-to-lithium ratios. Based on the above, the Company believes the project has the potential to become a producer of lithium, potassium and boron products in the near future."

AMEC developed a geological model based on the data provided by Rodinia management that was subsequently independently validated. The geological model subdivided the Salar into three aquifers with distinct geological and geochemical characteristics:

Aquifer I: comprises a near surface zone, composed of ulexite, coarse clastic sediments and clay predominantly in the centre of the Salar to an average depth of 4.5 metres,
Aquifer II: occupies a middle zone, composed of an interbedded sequence of sands, silts and clays to a maximum depth of 90 meters and an average vertical thickness of 58 meters,
Aquifer III: represents the basal unit, open at depth, of inter-bedded layers of sand, silt, gravel, and minor clay. This layer was assumed to be the base of the resource and is open at depth.
A table showing the breakdown of the resource estimate is shown in Table 1.

Table 1 - Inferred brine resource estimate for the Salar de Diablillos. Equivalent tonnages are reported as in situ in metric tonnes ("Mt") and were calculated using standard conversion rates as determined by the chemical composition of the final product, and are independent of price and mining processes. A 230 mg/l Li cut off was used for all resource estimations.

      Notes:

      (1) The brine resource estimate is reported consistent with the principles of the disclosure standards under NI 43-101.
(2)The economic cut-off applied was based on analogous deposits.
      (3) Certain assumptions regarding porosity, permeability and boundary conditions are based on analogous salar-hosted brines and may change when detailed data from the Diablillos deposit are collected.
      (4) Assumptions regarding thicknesses of Aquifer ll and lll may change with more detailed drilling and geophysical data.
      (5) Total porosity was used to estimate the in situ lithium, potassium, and boron. Recoverable resources are determined by the "specific yield" which is the unit volume of fluid that will drain under gravity. The specific yield could ranges between 1 and 22%, depending on lithology.
      (6) The effective date of the estimate is March 1, 2011.

Rodinia began work on Diablillos in 2010. By the end of the same year management had completed an extensive auger sampling program and had drilled 16 reverse circulation drill holes covering the entire basin, collecting data that included lithology, specific gravity, flow rates, temperature and other field measurements. Additionally, downhole geophysical logging (porosity and density), sediment and brine sampling was conducted at regular intervals where possible. The exploration program included a property- wide gravity and topographical survey. The results were indicative of relatively high grade of lithium contained within the brines and were deemed adequate for an initial resource estimate.

Lithium mineralization is confined within the enclosed basin. Vulcan software wireframe solids were generated by AMEC for the different domains, as well as the basement and topography surfaces. The Diablillos block model was created using Vulcan using a 250x250x6m block size with sub blocks down to 50x50x2m for aquifers II and III. For Aquifer I, where auger sampling was done on a 300x300m spacing, and the parent block size was 50x50x6m with sub blocks down to 25x25x2m. Block grades were calculated using squared inverse distance ("ID2") grade estimation methodologies. All blocks were assigned an Inferred Mineral resource classification. At depth resources within the third aquifer, were limited by an interpolated surface representing 30m below the total depth of drill holes.

The independent brine resource estimate prepared by AMEC is consistent with the standards set out in Canadian Securities Administrators' National Instrument 43-101. A complete National Instrument 43-101 Technical Report, which will incorporate the brine resource estimation, will be filed on Sedar within 45 days of release of this press release.

The resource model and brine resource estimation, was completed and/or supervised by Paolo Bevacqua, P. Geo, Senior Hydrogeologist, of AMEC Internacional Ingenieria y Construccion Limitada, Santiago, Chile. By virtue of his background and professional experience Mr. Bevacqua is a "Qualified Person" as defined by NI 43-101. The Project was supervised by Ray Spanjers, Rodinia's Manager of Exploration. Mr. Spanjers is considered a Qualified Person, as defined by National Instrument 43-101.

Vishy Karamadam, (04/12/11) "Projects in prolific lithium-bearing region: Rodinia Lithium owns almost 100% of the Salar de Diablillos, in Argentina, which neighbors FMC's lithium project (world's third-largest lithium mine). The company also owns 70,000 acres in Clayton Valley, Nevada next to Chemetall's Silver Peak mine that has produced up to 5,000 tons lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE) over the last 40 years.

High potential to become a lithium producer: Rodinia has a NI 43-101-compliant inferred resource at Salar de Diablillos of 2.82 Mt. LCE and 11.27 Mt. potash—this is a significant announcement when the current world consumption of lithium is approximately 120,000 tpy LCE, which represents 23.5 years of present global demand. Once further developed, this resource has the capability of propelling Rodinia as a major player in this space.

We rate Rodinia as a levered play to lithium-oriented investors: Ubika Research rates Rodinia Lithium as 'undervalued' and as such have set our Ubika Model Price (UMP) for Rodinia at $1.12, which represents a 166% upside from Monday, April 11, 2011 close of $0.42 per share."

The Energy Report Interview with Jon Hykawy (01/06/11) "We know this company reasonably well and have visited all their sites. Rodinia Lithium's Salar de Diablillos lithium brine project in Argentina looks like a good one to us. Again, it's one of those deposits that's been blessed by reasonably good chemistry. They've got relatively high levels of lithium. Good magnesium levels. Good sulfate levels. It should be a relatively tractable project. It's not a huge project, but in the larger scheme of things you don't need to be huge. You just need to target the right markets and find some buyers who want to buy the stuff."

Morning Coffee (09/27/10) "Rodinia Lithium moved up on results from additional auger (shallow) drilling on the Diablillos lithium brine project in Argentina. An additional 38 holes have expanded the higher-grade nucleus of the salar by 1.5 km on strike to 5.5 km by 2.5 km. Near-surface sampling in the nucleus has returned an average lithium (Li) of 845 mg/L, average potassium (K) of 9,092 mg/L, and 762 mg/L boron (B) with a favorable magnesium:Li ratio of 3.75. The overall salar samples average results of 680 mg/L Li, 7,400 mg/L K, 669 mg/L B, 3.75 Mg:Li, and 10.73 sulphate:Li also appear quite positive. Surface sampling is being followed up in an ongoing RC program that will provide a three dimensional view of the basin. Also of note, last week the company released results from its first hole which successfully demonstrated the presence of mineralized aquifer to at least 120 meters depth with grades and attributes akin to the surficial average. Hole D-RC-01 intersected primarily sand and gravel and the average of six-meter samples over the 120-meter hole depth amounts to 713 mg/L Li, 9,000 mg/L K and 543 mg/L boron. The Mg:Li ratio amounts to 3.7 and the sulphate:Li ratio amounts to 9.3. Assays are pending from five additional holes."

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - May 5, 2011) - Rodinia Lithium Inc. ("Rodinia" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:RM)(OTCQX:RDNAF) is pleased to announce results from its continued reverse circulation drill program at its Salar de Diablillos project ("Diablillos" or "Salar") located in Salta Province, Argentina. Drilling successfully resumed at Diablillos late February, after experiencing heavier rains than usual during January and February 2011. It is anticipated that the results, summarized below, may expand the resource at depth and laterally, while confirming the continuity of the aquifers and the contained lithium brines.

William Randall, President CEO of Rodinia, commented "We continue to intersect high quality lithium and potash brines on the Salar de Diablillos, evidenced by DRC-17 in the north-eastern margin of the Salar. With this intersection and the drilling that is ongoing, we believe that this may increase the size of our recoverable lithium and potash resource. This is a great start to what is expected to be a busy remainder of the year as we advance the Diablillos project, through the completion of exploration activities and culminating in the development of a preliminary economic assessment of the property."[/quote]

Rodinia Lithium installs pump test well at Diablillos

      2011-08-04 11:10 ET - News Release

      Mr. William Randall reports

RODINIA LITHIUM PROVIDES UPDATE ON THE SALAR DE DIABLILLOS PROJECT

Rodinia Lithium Inc. is providing an update on progress at its Salar de Diablillos project located in Salta province, Argentina. Diamond drilling on the salar commenced during the first week of July and has successfully confirmed the dominant lithologies identified by the company's extensive reverse circulation drilling campaign. The vast majority of the lithologies intersected during diamond drilling have been sand and gravel. Both of these units tend to produce acquifers with high specific yield values and are seen by management as favourable for production wells.

In addition, the company is pleased to announce that drilling and installation of the first pump test well are complete. The first pump test will take place at the site where D-RC-16 was drilled. Two of three planned monitoring wells have also been drilled and are in the process of being screened.

William Randall, president and chief executive officer of Rodinia, commented: "The lithologies intersected during diamond drilling confirm the favourable aquifer properties identified during reverse circulation drilling last year. This is a major step towards derisking the project and will provide a great deal of certainty as to the potential of the deposit. Having completed the first pump test well, we are now well on our way to defining the productive capacity of Diablillos."

Diamond drill holes D-DD-01 and D-DD-02 have been completed, intersecting the basement at 186 metres and 102 metres respectively. The drill holes continued within the basement, encountering highly fractured material with brine from 102 metres to 156 metres in the case of D-DD-01. This represents a potential aquifer that was not included in the previously reported recoverable resource estimate. Rodinia will issue a detailed news release on holes D-DD-01 and D-DD-02 once sample results have been received from the laboratory.

The project is supervised by Ray Spanjers, Rodinia's manager of exploration. Mr. Spanjers is considered a qualified person, as defined by National Instrument 43-101, and has reviewed and approved the scientific and technical information in this release. According to the company's sampling protocol, sample size is to exceed 500 millilitres and be stored in clean, secure containers for transportation. The prepared samples are then forwarded to the ALS Laboratory Group, environmental division, in Fort Collins, Colo., U.S., for analysis. A rigorous quality assurance/quality control program is implemented, consisting of regular insertion of standards and blanks to ensure laboratory integrity.

      We seek Safe Harbor.
